Freddy Got Fingered is a masterpiece of anti-humour, and way ahead of its time. If it had come out a few years later, it'd be up there with Tim & Eric in the critical consensus.
Theres WAYY more worse movies than freddygotfingered. FGF isnt even half as bad as alot of the really bad ones out there. FGF is enjoyable and Rip Torn brings a lot to the film. People have 0 taste if they don't at least get a kick out of FGF. Honestly it was entertaining and the casting was projected well, from the mother to rip torn and Eddie kaye thomas' character. It was a Good movie, there were/are way worse films, especially comedies. Or a movie like foking "gigli" what kind of chick flick rom/com trash was that. Fuking far worse than FGF
I agree with that. However all of this is completely lost on Joe Rogan and you can see he just thinks its funny, completely missing the meta point of it all.
Freddy got fingered is the first movie I have seen that has done slap-stick satire. The running gag with the kid who gets injured is genius(besides from the glass in the face at the restaurant), first showing the classic silly "woops!" cartoon accidents and immediately cutting to the brutal realistic image of the kid bleeding and loosing his teeth etc., making you feel like a piece of shit for laughing before that brutality is displayed, which makes even more funny, haha. Seeing kids get hurt is the worst feeling I know of, but Tom Green actually managed to make that satire work. I love him!
freddy got fingered is one of those movies that is so stupid its funny. some people just don't get that some movies were never meant to be epic or have oscar recognition, some are just meant to be so ridiculously funny. i still laugh at some of those scenes in that movie.
Freddy got fingered is one of the most quotable movies of all time. I love it it's fantastic. My favorite scene actually is when he flips out at work and piles more cheese on the cheese sandwich I wanted to do that at work so bad so many times. I have yelled, "I could loose all this!!!" And no one gets the reference.
+Mathew Rosevold haha the cheese sandwich..'' you can stick it in your bum bum''...... but yeah, every time I see a mad person I literally always think to myself..'' he's a real character, he's a real character''
At first I thought the movie was really stupid, but it needed time to grow on me. Now its one of my favorite movies and I don't mind popping it in every once in a while. Plus its fun to show to friends to get their reactions, which is probably the reason the movie was made in the first place.
Hi..hi...Hi...hi...im x-ray cat, i've got superpowers...i can see trough wooden door, with my x-ray vision, he cant see me and he's commiting a crime, i then run along and say:"I CAN SEE YOU!" but he says:"no you cant see me" but i say:"yes I CAN!!" with my...x-ray..x-ray...im x-ray caat... im x-ray caat..

YouTubosloven Yup. Me and a couple of my stoner friends in college got it immediately when it came out and laughed hysterically. It's a movie making fun of movies. Specifically romantic comedies. And if you don't know why a Chrysler LeBaron is funny, then yeah you're a zombie

Culture is at a different place right now, and Tom was way ahead of the times. 'Freddy' is a masterpiece of comedy, AFAIC.
I saw it in theaters with a friend. People were walking out. I loved it. My friend said, "That movie had no taste taste whatsoever." And I said, "Yeah, but it was funny."
That is what I've rated Freddy Got Fingered. 5.0 out of Ten, it's just so fucking true what Tom Says here, and in the end he's the one that gets to laugh the most.
Freddy Got Fingered rules just because of the fact that Tom Green wrote, directed, and starred in it. It's crazy that he was given that opportunity at his age. And it was pretty funny. If you read his book, and followed all of his shit, it makes a lot of sense and is very funny.
The stuff Green intended to the showstopper moments was genuinely unfunny nonsense, like the deer guts and horse wanking scenes. There's was so many other moments that made me laugh so much it hurt like the baby scene or the restaurant scene or just moments of Rip Torn being angry were what was hilarious about it.
