I really wish that more people would realize how much of an innovator of comedy Tom Green was
I feel like he really pioneered stuff like Jackass, Tim & Eric, and other absurdist "Internet humor." Not necessarily the first to ever do it, but the first to get really popular doing it.

He was even a massive influence to figures like Joe Rogan, he mentioned it on his podcast before. The Joe Rogan show would not exist without Tom Green.

Its funny how much credit Tom Green deserves for shaping the funniest shows and comedians we have seen. Everybody just copied from Tom Green. Jackass, Viva La Bam, Jackass, Eric Andre, and every crazy show we love. All 100% Tom Green influenced.

Tom Green was the foundation to podcasts, prank channels and really UA-cam in general.. he’s underrated and under appreciated I feel.
It doesn't matter how old I get every time I watch this stuff I'm instantly back in my 20's reliving all the crazy crap I used to mainly from the influence of Tom Green and CKY. Those were the best times of my life. I'd give anything if I could go back and live it on infinite repeat forever.

I was watching this as a teenager in a small town in the south of Holland. This felt so far away from anything that was going on in my world around that time - it blew my mind. I became a big fan of this show. It was aired on MTV randomly and there was no program information available so we had to be lucky to catch the show.
Fast forward 20 years: the intro song is still in my head and that's what got me here this morning.

In 2005 I worked in the DVD section at Future Shop and we only received about four copies of Tom Green's DVD... I knew they'd go fast so I hid one in the back of a shelf and bought it on my next payday. It was one of the best purchases I ever made. :)

Tom Green showed me not to take life so seriously all those years ago. I watched him religiously in the 90s.
From 94 to 2002 Tom Green was the funniest man on the planet. And is easily one of the funniest of all time. As plenty others have said he doesn't get anywhere near the credit he deserves. He took inspiration from Andy Kaufman to a degree (Kaufman was also hilarious) but he took it, ran with it, made it his own and perfected it.

I never realised until recently that Tom Green was the very first of all this. He needs the recognition he deserves and all this is still absolute comedy gold. When i was younger seeing this stuff for the first time it blew my mind 😍
Tom Green was a man of the people. He didnt give a shit about celebrities because celebrities, by and large, aren't funny. The real people, working class, lower middle class humans that he met, trolled and interviewed were the real stars of the show. It was like the content and patient 90s through a looking glass.
