I'm glad you liked the video! I would disagree with your stance on protein. Once you have resynthesized glycogen and electrolyte stores, it should be absolutely mandatory to consume protein for maintenance of muscle mass through the match day/weekend as well as the remainder of the season. One of the biggest problems for people cutting weight is the loss of muscle mass and strength as the season progresses & prioritizing protein can help mitigate that.
You are totally right, but I am only talking about consuming Protein as it's hard to digest generally and between matches you need to restore your energy as fast as possible....I am talking from a perspective of an Taekwondo Athlete . Thanks for the great info
You should be forced to explain why someone about to compete needs 40 grams of protein You need carbs and electrolytes. Protein is doing nothing for you in the short term other than taking up room in your stomach You're telling people to have as much protein as carb, utterly absurd. Go ahead and explain it
Paul, that is a great question. My thoughts on processed foods such as poptarts is that they are inferior to other options, such as the options mentioned in this video. If other, better, options are not available, then they will be fine. Hope this helps!
Thanks , really good guidence with the 3 stages something like that missed in most other videos
Very smart post weigh in meal plan, game changer
Glad you enjoy.
Thanks, this is helpful. What are your thoughts on simple carbs such as a pop tart
Too many simple sugars, it will cause ur blood sugar to spike which you dont want
Great video with very useful information, but I don't think eating protein and fibers between matches is a
good idea.
