If you wet/dampen clothing first, it helps with even dye dispersion. My first tshirt i tried came out likt it was a failed tye dye. Liked the video. Subscibed.
Nice. Now you have me thinking that dark khaki would make for a nice spring fall tone on acu and grey would be great for urban camo. Going to try this.
You can dye the uniforms with regular Rit dye, add salt and vinegar to the mix and you'll be good. The uniforms are a cotton, nylon blend. You can also dye nylon with Rit dye. I've dyed several ACU packs and pouches using regular Rit dye, vinegar and salt. I'm trying a new formula shortly.
Hello. I have not dyed any gore tex. However, I know of several that took on this challenge. Using synthetic dye. The finished product looked alright and the dye held. However there is more to the Gore Tex material that should be researched first. Thank you for the question.
I have a quick question, My quilted trucker jacket that I want to dye was originally an olive green, now it's a light green/grey, and I want to dye it back to olive green, or darker. The issue is I have a cotton black interior. How would you say I go about the dying process?

very helpful topic for us so thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching and sharing this video.
This is great! I'm gonna try to dye a flecktarn jacket black to get that black/patterned look like your digicam is green/patterned.
Should turn out well. Thanks for watching.
Love the results! You used 3 green bottles right? The directions say 3 bottles but the video only shows you used 2 green bottles. Thank you
Yes 😊
3 greens. Thank you
How about gore tex? Will the dye stick? Will it still remain waterproof?

Choose your Color, prepare product, .... and dye it the same basic way.
I wanted good quality stuff without seemingly stealing valor so this seems a good budget choice to buy surplus items
It is just a backpack. A useful tool for all people that need it. Customize as you desire.
Use the gear you like as you like, anyone who claims you're stealing valor for it is an idiotic busybody
