I just wonder how much time will humanity take to start appreciating songs like this one, it feels like they are not ready for such a masterpiece
Give it a hundred years or 2
This comes next to tooth and claw in my mind when i wanna think about djent...
ua-cam.com/video/ZEr-D8-qcvg/v-deo.html
i'm already post-ironically enjoying this level of djent wankery quite a bit.
I really appreciate this, I think that ones who don´t are a little silly
Love it!
Nik Nocturnal Hey man
Nik Nocturnal Please do a cover😍
Well, I suppose you should do a cover of this masterpiece
Nik Nocturnal I bet you can't cover it. Just kidding dude 😅
I bet he rly can't. But I dont blame him for that.
this is better than 95% of Djent
If more "Djent" was like this band and Adam Bentley I would actually like the genre.
Equinox Games This is Djent
Djent is not a genre, prog metal is, the term "djent" is just a popular word to this derivation of prog metal :) but should be an official genre it deserves to be
I do agree with you , but tell me more about this 5 % !
@@skadisamira5075 paradoxica by wide eyes, rings of saturn
How did this not cause a Tsunami?
VALID QUESTION. 😂
How the hell do you write this....clearly one of the most insane instrumental masterpieces of the modern era
Writing is one thing, memorizing it and pulling it off live is insane to think about!
It’s a feeling my guy. It just comes out. And after a couple play thru’s, its ingrained in them.
1:58 - harmonic backing, lead guitar backing, 2 djenty rythm guitars and 5 string bass not to mention heavy drumming mixed and EQ'd to a level of clarity that has left me rather baffled. Great production, great band.
Yeah, so cool to see all that coming together and still being able to pick out the instruments. Their choice of tone helps - they really fit everything into it's own space during that part. If you look at something like CAFO in comparison - when the main djenty riffs start over the sweeping you really lose the sweeps - the EQ just eats them but then the rhythm tone is so saturated it's not surprising!
this is as much the arrangement as the mixing
"Celo" the best
Using stereo separation to make a place for every instrument to sit, tasteful use of layering for the rhythms and kick, and the bass sits down an octave so if you cut out the low end of the guitars you give more space for the bass to live down there, not enough metal producers get it right. Incredible work here.

I've done my best to show this to everyone in the United States that I can. I lead in by saying "it's for people who like music for the sake of music." Seriously a massive inspiration for my writing style, as well as my personal favorite instrumental band. That's right, etching it in the stone here and now. VITALISM IS PRESENTLY THE BEST INSTRUMENTAL BAND IN ALL OF EXISTENCE. You can't change my mind.
Certeza Vitalism é a banda sucessora de Dream Theater
I just wish the breakdown at 3:42 lasted a few more measures, Djesus Christ 🤘🏻
me too!!!so awsome
Finally someone said it! It's my favorite breakdown
This is basically a cross between Animals As Leaders and The Faceless. Very good in my humble opinion.
A hint of periphery as well with the clean overlays
I bet you will like O.D. by Polyphia as well!

Chris Moon I was waiting for this comment so hard.
All it needs now is a bit of funk on the bass.
Hey, guys, can we vote on them calling next year's album, "Funk me Djently" now, before someone else steals it?
But it will only work if the album has some super brutal breakdowns. ;D

Vocals would ruin this masterpiece
Really good vocals would make this masterpiece the ultimate masterpiece of music history ... i think :D Actually i miss some kind of vocals. But it could ruin the whole thing too.
unless they were out of this world good. they'd have to be to fit the music. some bands do this pretty well. i think pathways does it well. tesseract is pretty good at it too. periphery...maybe. im still on the fence. i like how exivious did it on their demos.
But the wrong one could ruin it
I think a really well-chosen vocal could take this band to a big international projection. Because sung songs obviously become more popular. But the band is brilliant.
Bad vocals would ruin, but a really good vocal would make the song even better
Those breakdowns at the end are just so.....DJENT
God knows how many times I have listened to this song. It has all the elements of a modern metal song

Djent BRAzuca

First discovered Bloodywood, then met some Twelve Foot Ninja, now I am being besieged by Vitalism!
What a delightful day.
WOW I'm stoked to discover a new Djent/Shred group that actually has some real personality. You've still got some serious chops to show, but you actually bring melodies and textures to the table that feel believable. It isn't just more cheesy concept music, it's a detailed account of a musical idea. You have an obvious understanding of multiple styles and are able to use that convincingly. Some of the grooves and turnarounds are really intelligent. If you guys can keep cranking out stuff like this that's got serious substance rather than just wankery and synths, I can see you going far. KEEP IT UP!!!
Golden Rooster for some reason I'm not intimidated...
This perfectly sums this stuff up. It's incredibly refreshing and far from just another show off type thing. I need more. I've listened to this like 10 times now and I just don't do that nowadays unless something is really fucking good in my opinion.
totally agree with the guy above me and the original comment as well. This came on today in one of youtubes random mixes I started off from polyphia with. Song instantly stuck out to me. First time hearing this band and it definitely won't be the last
But not to side track, that new Polyphia tune 'G.O.A.T.' is fucking amazing, newly dark material and very technical. those dudes can really play. Love they show off all players in this specifically that epic bass riff towards the end before the drum solo

The ending of the song reminds me of when you wake up from a dream and realize it was all a dream and you lay there feeling an array of emotions
I have to give my thanks and respect to you guys. I can´t put in words what this composition did to me. The first time in ages I stopped my work after listening to this for just a minute. A random youtube playlist led me here and I instantly hit the replay button. Twice, before i continued. After that I listened to this "song" many times and shared it with friends. I considered going to the Euroblast festival in cologne but I cant find your name on the lineup anymore. I am very sorry about that but I hope you find your way to Europe someday, I´ll be there. This is my first youtube comment ever, I haven´t been as gratefull to all these online services untill I got to know this. So I kind of felt I had to change my philosophie about that at least a bit. Thank you so much, you make me happy for way more than the 5:12 this "10th" lasts.
Que nível! Alguém já viu eles tocando ao vivo?
Não sei se dá pra tocar assim ao vivo, mas são monstros. Estou digitando com os pés, pois com as mãos estou aplaudindo.
I discovered this in summer 21, and I just, cannot, get enough, you guys, are just the absolute coolest, the epitome of godly music, is vitalism 💗I fucking love you guys 🤘🤘🤘🤘
When you have full squad but no vocalist. This happen 😎
I love it too because as a vocalist with no band to write for, djent bands that stick to the instrumental aspect and the technical synergy ONLY create a song writers fantasy playground of vocal fillers and melody. Love putting my lyrics and vocals over bands like Vitalism, Anup Sastry, Animals As Leaders, Tesseract, Angel Vivaldi, Polyphia, etc.. lol just allows me to get it out of my system without having to quit my job and spend weeks away from my family in a smelly dude van haha still.... I kinda miss the smelly 9 passenger full of stale mickey D's, gatorade, and pizza boxes. We used to have Magic Tournaments or D&D sessions going from place to place. Good memories man

Are they playing to Poseidon?
Pagan, dude. Poseidon is Greek.
It would be either Aegir or Father North (Njörd).
And viking-ass dudes like this don't "play" music.
They experience it as the thralls of Thall, like true djentlemen. :3
KitWriter Greek Mythology is considered Pagan. Anything that isn't Christian is "Pagan", as Pagan is a Christian term for those who did not believe in their God. Which would mean Norse is also Pagan. But if you wanted to reference the Norse from the Old English linguistic perspective, you call them "hæðen" (Heathen).
If they are Poseidon would be pleased he would bow down to the gods of djent 🤣🤣🤣
I think they are definitely Playing to Poseidon👍😊😊

Absurdão ! Orgulho brasa !
I cry everytime I listen to this. This music perfectly relates the tragedy of the great war between the gods, known by some as Ragnarok, known as Armageddon by others. What people fail to understand is that the war has already happened, thousands of years ago. And after millions of years of the gods existing together in love and harmony on and above the earth the ones that are called fallen angels were bound below the surface of the flat endlessly infinite plane of the earth. And their grief and their mourning and their pain and their sorrow, and their rage erupts and oozes through the crust of the earth as magma and the smoke from their flesh rises into the heavens forever and ever. The only way to ever restore balance to the universe is to show an immense amount of love to those who have been condemned by history as unlovable and unforgivable. When humans as a whole are able to ascend to a higher level of consciousness they will be loosed and given a chance of redemption. If they are not accepted and loved for who they are their hearts will be turned to despair once again and there shall be another war.
Yo could I get an eighth of whatever the fuck you're smoking?

Daeg this aint even heavy for djent standards
TYFLOL I mostly listen to progressive/tech death, but every once in a while I come over to the djent side to see what's going on. I like these guys because they have depth and variance in their writing. I think the contrast of lighter parts makes the heavy all the more heavy. It's kinda boring when it's just heavy and hard the whole way through.
Ummmm heavy?
