Feels like home.
It does... weird isn't it? how a virtual world can house an entire generation like that.
@@Kokorocodon its a beautiful work of art.
I remember walking up those steps. Gazing upward at the mysterious stone figure towering against the cloud covered sky, and wondering who she was, what people worshipped her, what stories were left untold about her role in legends.
After looking and finding no quest to pick up around the lonely statue. I ventured across the frozen tundra to continue on. Yet that memory will always remain forever with me.
That's what I say all the time
Omg i was just thinking that then i saw ur comment. It does feel like home 🥲
No matter the length of time, the music score of Skyrim still calms the sea of emotion that fills my mind.
You & me both man
I have played Skyrim on and off over the years; I’ll play for a bit, take a year off and come back again. I feel a good part of that is due to the music. The game may have its flaws, but every time I go back to the game, I feel immersed in the landscapes while the epic music plays. Again, Skyrim isn’t perfect, but the music and atmosphere certainly are.
I need to put this statue in my yard somewhere and a speaker system outside especially during winter with this. Timeless music
omg i love your idea!!
Faldrus will be on a pilgrimage to your yard then
Skyrim’s soundtrack is the most elegant, the most profound, the most beautiful piece of music my ears have ever heard.
Thank you God Jeremy Soule. 🙏🏼
I am so glad I am not the only one, my friend. Thank you for so beautifully putting my thoughts and feelings into words with such potency; God bless you.
My thoughts exactly. Skyrim is easily in my top 5 best video game OSTs of al time
You should check out the soundtrack of the first Guild Wars, Jeremy Soule composed that as well.
i remember one day it was like 1am or 2am and it was raining so i turned on my ps3 and lunched skyrim and oh boy the satisfaction and happines that i felt its unimaginable
from that day it became my favorite game to chill out and escape from the real world
Wow... just wow...
I feel overwhelmed with warmth and emotion after reading this my friend; God bless you, oh God bless you :,)
The PS3 era was a simpler, better, heartwarming time.
If only I could do what you did again.
Definitely. Skyrim holds some of the best memories of any game. And Jeremy Soule is the king of emotion when it comes to music.
Skyrim will always be my comfort game… whatever happens in life I’ll always have it to come back to…
From thinking about really in depth character backgrounds to just customizing them, you get to explore this world as whoever you want to be…
I just stop and listen to the music sometimes just like I do in Minecraft, and even with its flaws it’s a masterpiece in my eyes.
"By Azura, it's the Grand Champion!" I miss the man that said that. He used to follow me around as I ventured through Oblivion. Truly.
In Skyrim ?
@@STARLIGHT_KSA oblivion, the game before skyrim.
“Shame about what happened to him… just disappeared one night without a trace…”
@@spiderz5145 this hits way too hard.
I come back to listen to this video pretty often. I went through another play-through of Skyrim recently and accidentally stumbled across this Shrine for the first time and I had no idea just how big it was... God, I love this game.
Skyrim is a game like no other, and that wouldn't be the case if it wasn't for this utterly profound, masterful score from Jeremy Soule - this is, for me, the best video game soundtrack of all time. The music of Skyrim takes me back to a better time, a time of an escape, a time I call home.
Fuck yeah!.... Home!
Exactly! It seems to me that people don't appreciate Jeremy enough, the way his masterwork was put in this game. And those freaks at Bethesda don't even have him scheduled for ES6. I have little to no hope for ES6. Different time now entirely... Skyrim was out in 2011, in the making right after Oblivion, when games still weren't a cash grab. A healthier time altogether.
@@maboleth From my experience, Bethesda is one of the companies that actually release quality games. I mean that is the reason why new titles take so long to release, they actually take their time with their games. Surely some are better than others, but I can't really say any of the Bethesda games were an absolute flop, especially the RPG's like Skyrim and Fallout have always been of high quality. This is a big contrast from actual companies known to be money grabbing scams, like Ubisoft, that release a new mediocre title of their famous series every year, where 10 hours of actual unique content with 30 hours of artificial lengthening in the form of repetitive missions is being sold for a 60$ price tag as a 40 hour game. Skyrim, Fallout... those games are endless. The actual content you get in these games (not repetition-wise) is worth hundreds of hours. Insane value for money. I am confident that Bethesda will release another masterpiece and have high expetations of ES6. Hope I am not wrong.
I just can't believe that there are so many talented minds out there who makes epic music and relaxing music as exquisite as this. I hope those composers will live long enough to write some for my fantasy world that I am working on. It is called the World of War-Heroes, on the planet of Sol Eldium; The Chronicles of Sol Eldium.
Good luck on your journey!
@@amberraining9546 Thanks.
This is why i love The Elder Scrolls. It is so mesmerizing...😌
Yes; I think, that I am on the 117th playthru - and still enjoying it.
Heck, even just walking around at random in Skyrim is nice:-)
@@MikkelMadsen 117th😯 I salute you sir!🫡
@@Patrickvdm23
Heh heh; In Danish "the 117th time" is less a concrete number, and more an expression that you have done something a large number of times (and therefore lost count of it).
Doesn't translate well into other languages, I guess :-)
@@MikkelMadsen Was just playing along:P You were actually saying that you just love the game :)
@@Patrickvdm23
Heh heh :-)
...and it is really a great game. I have played it for a number of hours, I don't even want to think about.
I fell in love with this playlist, sleeping with this was like being in a fairy tale
this game was in many ways, bad. Questing, repetitive dungeons, etc. Yet somehow, exploring the world, finding everything there is to find, the first time seeing the night sky while running around after escaping helgen. I dont know what it is about this game, but with all of its flaws it somehow crafts ambience and nature that few, if any game rivals. Maybe it was the time in my life, but I have so many core memories from this game, and every year or so, I boot it up, mod it up, and find myself escaping to the same world.
I agree. Skyrim does have its problems, but one thing it does masterfully is the atmosphere. You explore Skyrim itself and hear the music and you feel like you’re in a grand and epic story
This is because the gameplay loop of Skyrim is not nuanced, memorable characters and diverse questlines that make you question the ethos of your character, or your own personal moral center, like Morrowind, and in some cases Oblivion. It's a comfy cottagecore game centered around the gameplay loop of exploration. Adventuring is the primary aspect of this game. 99% of everything this community strives to talk about is not the quests, the dialogue, the characters. I can't even remember the last time this was the case, minus like "cicero" who is probably one of the most annoying antiheroes in this entire series. Instead, it's all about the beauty of the actual world, worldbuilding in the developmental sense. And for this reason, I try to play this game now only with that in mind. I don't treat it like a story-driven game like Morrowind, or a game that inspires me to meta-game my character like Oblivion. Rather I treat Skyrim like it's meant for the basic adventuring RPG fan. And it is.
Fight on!
If you are over 25 and have a computer, you NEED to download this game
As a budding author-I like to think of myself that way at least-Skyrim's music has always been a constant presence whilst I write. Sometimes whilst I plan too. There's something about its soothing nature that fills me from top to bottom and helps keep a steady stream of thoughts going. Maybe it's the ambience. Maybe it's Jeremy Soule's masterful composing skills that makes the entirety of the Skyrim Soundtrack feel like one, long song- or a fever dream. But why not both?
Regardless, its something that I'm grateful for. In my seventeen years on this world, never have I encountered something so silent yet thought provoking. That is all traveller, and I hope that this video has been a small respite- a sanctuary, if you will, from the many toils of this world.
I've been working on a book for perhaps nearly five years now. Jeremy Soule's music has been a constant companion on this journey, both in writing the chapters, and reading them out loud to my friends.
This is stunning. So underrated. Love this visual
❤ Here and there, I still find myself in Skyrim in 2022 since December 2012. Why is this game so darn good??? ❤
Writing this today, as I am working for my exams (in three weeks) I am almost crying because I have so much work to do and so little time and memories of Skyrim comfort me a lot. 🥲😔
Update : I am done with exams today! I hope the results will meet the expectations
To anyone going through rough times, keep in mind that it’s momentarily and you’ll eventually look back at it. My point is, you should enjoy all that brings calmness and peace to you and not be ashamed of being tired, sad and angry. Walk through it proudly.
Oscar worthy material, if Oscar is any indication that something is outstanding anymore. This is up there with best film music ever.
This music really captures the wintry desolation of Skyrim.
Skyrim soundtrack it's the only thing that place throughout my house on my Google mini's since my house is Norse Pagan themed these songs and scores always calm me down in an instant never fails❤

I don't play this game, nor any games for that matter, but this music is amazing. Absolute masterpiece... I imagine it feels even better and more nostalgic for Skyrim players. If a movie adaptation ever came out I would watch :)

I read the Bible quite a bit and immediately noticed Mark 9:45: "And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame than with two feet to be thrown into hell." - not that this relates to the topic, just thought it was interesting.

Saat 06:04 ızdırap içindeyim. Odam soğuk, dışarısı soğuk. Hayat rutinim devam ediyor ölü gibi çalışıp eve dönüyorum. Boş vakitlerimde bir şeyler yapıp treni yakalamaya çalışıyorum. Dr No tactics in this game pic meta unit run in hit ability when the game has massive balance issues and it's hard to catch up cuz they keep making challenges more and more
difficult for no reason other than they want you to pay for the unit instead of unlocking it not to mention half of the challenges or walk behind an event that you can only do at certain times or certain days the actually working on some of these issues on their Frontier version but the game is still basically on playable for new people unless you like dying to Op bulshit that you have no chance to counter
