Some of the cars you mentioned like the Bugatti and the Venom are not drag cars. They have great speed but only decent acceleration. And the F1 is super slow compared to these simply because it’s getting pretty old

Tbf not a single one of the other cars in the drag race outside of maybe the aston would even qualify as a supercar, lol. If bugatti or koenigsegg are in this race that senna gets absolutely annihilated. Laferrari and 918 would beat it handily as well if acceleration figures are any indication

@@preetamdasika7636 They could have made it 15 minutes if they had a decent overhead drone shot to make it really visually clear where the effects of things like turbo lag, gearing, shifting and weight could be be more easily broken down. Unfortunately I didn't get a lot of detail out of it.

the 992 cost around 114k and the McLaren senna is 1 million. It's crazy how close the numbers where considering you paid an extra 886k just for a few seconds more. Adding some turbos and weight reduction, it's no telling how fast the 992 can end up being. that's amazing

Keep on rewatching this just to see that Aston pull. If it could put it's power down better at the start, that thing would a genuine monster
It's not the engine putting the power down at the start that is the problem, Aston Martin had to reign in the low down torque to make it smoother so that the engine components could take it, that V12 is such a strong engine
The Porsche was shocking. The fact that it had way less horsepower than the other cars and still came 2nd in the quarter mile really shows how impressive German engineering can be. Even in the half mile where I thought the car would be far back because of the other cars gaining on it, it still only came 4th.
The 911 Turbo S us out there beating Ferraris, Dodge Demons, Lambos in the quarter mile on a regular basis.

That 911's performance is incredible, especially given it's relatively paltry engine and the fact that it's ultimately one of the slowest of the 911 variants.
Porsche always seems to achieve more with less and the Turbo is going to crush just about anything.

I’m so impressed with the Porsche. Even though dyno numbers have it around 490+hp and not the 443 rated but none the less this thing moves out. Truly engineering excellence.
Rear engine traction and PDK
Porsche also does not build engines just to hit a peak HP number, they build engines to have a strong power curve throughout the rev range. Thats what makes the difference here. Most of these cars have a high PEAK hp, but their power curves are not very full and probably have a narrow rev range where the engine is really making power.

Demon has too much power and is going to spin too much off the line and not get a good time, only way it gets good drag strip times is because of prepped tracks so it actually gets traction

The most incomprehensible thing in this race is that there was the BMW M850i. This race should have been either the M8 compitition or, at best, the M5cs. If that were the case, he would have been one of the foremost.
I just want to commend Porsche for making a 911 Carrera S as fast as a 4.0L BiTurbo V8 GT63 AMG. Just tells you, Porsche is one of the greatest when coming to creating the ultimate sports car.

Power to weight power to weight power to weight. It's all about that ratio, and the lighter cars actually get a slight advantage in the tires not being under as much load, essentially increasing their coefficient of friction for better traction. Add in a dash of proper aero to keep things slippery, and outright power becomes less and less relevant. The Nissan Deltawing took on 750+ HP LMP1 cars with just over 300 HP by keeping weight down to almost nothing and having the aerodynamics of an absolute dart.

The AMG GT63S got second place over all. It tied the Porsche in the 1/4 mile for 2nd and beat it in the 1/2 mile making it the second place over all. Third place is between Porsche and Aston.

Looking at the blue sky through one of the window is amazing. Sitting in one of those be it Tesla or Chiron makes you feel so strong and powerful.
