Right? This controller is full of such genious features, and I haven't even gone through all of them. Anyway, thanks! Think that'll be next week probably :D
@@TheNeonSyndicate Haha that's for sure! It's surprising to see this quality with these great features for such a price (I looked it up), I'm tempted to get one in the future!
@@rayanrebeihi9212 Yeah. The price is more than fair, especially if you factor in the sheer amount and quality of the included software. That being said, The previous Vortex I bought only lasted for 9 months and they weren't even able to repair it, so that needs to be said as well. But hey, 1) there's always the warranty and 2) I've never heard or read of anyone ever having the same issue mine had, so that makes me confident that I'm gonna be using this one for a long time!
So if I remember correctly (sold mine almost 2 years ago), this only has a USB and a MIDI output, no audio outputs at all. And that makes sense: this is a MIDI controller, it doesn't generate any sound, the only thing that comes out of it is pieces of information: which key did you play? Did you press it hard or soft? That sort of thing. All that information is then sent somewhere (e.g. your laptop you connected it to via USB) where that information can be read by a piece of software (e.g. your synthesizer plugin) that generates sounds based on it. For instance, you can load up a sampler with some piano sounds and control it with the Vortex. It'll play the notes you play, at the intensity you play, etc. If you don't have any software, don't worry - the Vortex comes with everything you need! Just register your unit on Alesis' website and download and install the bundled software
Ok, that narrows it down. Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have an external sound card or are you using the built-in one? What's your buffer settings? @@BIG_B_BRYAN

@@tea2920 Oh really, that's disappointing. Guess with drums especially since you hit them hard, they have to be very well-built not to break after a short while. Maybe that's not so much the case with keyboards... I hope at least 🤞 My first one lasted less than a year before I had to send it back to be repaired, which they couldn't in the end so I got my $ back and got a new one. Hopefully that doesn't happen with this one!
I didn't knew about the vibrato function, this is genius!! I'll pay more attention to this now, can't wait to see you shredding back again!
