STORYTIME: What’s Up With My Knee? // May 23rd, 2019

Sorry guys - I’ve been meaning to talk about what happened to my knee and I just kept putting it off. . . I also meant to make this video a lot shorter but I couldn’t manage to fit everything into a 5-minute video.

For those of you who don’t want to actually watch the video the whole way through, here is the short version: my knee gave out at prom (which it’s done before) and I went to the ER who referred me to an orthopedic surgeon. After an MRI, we discovered I dislocated my knee and broke off bone/cartilage and tore a ligament and will need surgery. The reason I dislocated my knee is because I have a wonky knee joint. I’ll go in for surgery on June 14th, 2019 and will be on crutches for 8-12wks afterward. The full recovery is a year or longer.
