This is a great Video and I really enjoyed watching it. My husband and I are Volunteer's at Sun-N-Fun and have been for 24 years. We devote our time to the G.A.C. area so we may have seen you... 2020 was such a disappointment with all the covid stuff... Hi Chuck, some of the prices were high, but there was cheaper water as well. After a couple of days, you figure out what to bring to the show, and where to go to buy things. It's not too bad, actually. And surprisingly my neck never hurt! :-) - Martin

Since I came back at least 50 times to this video during the last year or so, it is time to say thank you for this nice edit. As I commented before I loved camping there with our scouts...the foggy sunday morning was surreal, nicely captured as was the entire experience. Your storytelling is just amazing, I think its because I concur with the things you're focused - great people, friends, interviewing volunteers and attendees to hear where folks are from, and sharing a great time focused on aviation...you really have a gift to capture the essence and telling about the experience, well done. I will, she sets up that coffee station every year. She loves meeting the old friends from years past and getting to know the news ones who just showed up for the first time. I worked GAC parking the first three years, but now ride my motorcycle on the ramps, guiding planes through pedestrian areas. The Sun N Fun is a fun place to volunteer each year. Your videos are always of the finest quality but this one takes it to a new level! I really enjoyed it and it is a perfectly accurate representation of the wonderful fun that we had that week! Great shot of my airplane, and I got to see how bald my head really is on the shot from the back of the golf cart! Amazing video man!

Thanks for the great video! Have gone to Oshkosh about 30 times but have never made it to Sun and Fun since we live in Arizona and Washington. Look forward to OSH this year. Must admit that the only thing I did not enjoy last year was the drone part of the night show...lasted too long and the only way you could tell the formation was from the announcer.
As always... Another excellent video, but this one is exceptionally so. As a video editor, filmmaker/producer, & camera man (though the latter as been a few years) you're giving me a run for my money. LOL We might just have to get you out here to CA. Great job Martin! Probably the best I've seen of SNF. Looks like you spent some time on this, and your experience at this point is really showing!
From the comments I see you've been watching N70TB videos today, Cousin. I think you had saved the best for last; I am very pleased with how the Sun 'n Fun video turned out - despite the fact that it's not doing too well on UA-cam, but then I realize there are literally hundreds of Sun 'n Fun videos out there that mine competes with for viewers. Just looking at the project folder on my RAID, it's showing 848GB of files. With my new camera - I bought a Sony a7iii with a couple of good lenses a few months ago - the file sizes go up, but the quality of the footage is much better than what I used to capture in the past. And yes, this one did take a lot longer to edit than my average projects. Now I'm already thinking about video projects for Oshkosh this year; after many years I'll be back there in July. As for my comment: It's just true, and your editing is more on a professional level on this video. (Especially the creative aspect.) I also noticed the difference in the video quality. If I'm not using RED, or other 4K & pro cameras, Sony has always been a favorite of mine. (I used to shoot a lot of Interviews with the Sony HD series.)

This is the best video I've seen in many many years, maybe ever, that captures what it's like to attend one of the big shows like SNF or OSH. Many other videos tend to assume you already know what you're looking at. This was perfect for both pilots and non-pilots to really understand what goes on. Absolutely fantastic work!

I've been drooling over those for a few years now. But you'll love this: A friend of mine just bought one last October!! And he's not even a pilot!! (Yes. He is very wealthy.) He got a tour of the factory in Switzerland, and bought a lifetime membership with EAA to boot! He is going to Oshkosh this year, & I asked if I could hitch a ride, but he has to fly straight to NY after that for some business, and is bringing family, so we'll see. But, now he's looking at possibly getting the PC-24! LOL! Sigh...

Thanks for the great video! Have gone to Oshkosh about 30 times but have never made it to Sun and Fun since we live in Arizona and Washington. Look forward to OSH this year. Must admit that the only thing I did not enjoy last year was the drone part of the night show...lasted too long and the only way you could tell the formation was from the announcer.
I have yet to see a large drone airshow - they canceled the one at Sun 'n Fun because of weather.

As always... Another excellent video, but this one is exceptionally so. As a video editor, filmmaker/producer, & camera man (though the latter as been a few years) you're giving me a run for my money. LOL We might just have to get you out here to CA. Great job Martin! Probably the best I've seen of SNF. Looks like you spent some time on this, and your experience at this point is really showing!
From the comments I see you've been watching N70TB videos today, Cousin. I think you had saved the best for last; I am very pleased with how the Sun 'n Fun video turned out - despite the fact that it's not doing too well on UA-cam, but then I realize there are literally hundreds of Sun 'n Fun videos out there that mine competes with for viewers.
Just looking at the project folder on my RAID, it's showing 848GB of files. With my new camera - I bought a Sony a7iii with a couple of good lenses a few months ago - the file sizes go up, but the quality of the footage is much better than what I used to capture in the past. And yes, this one did take a lot longer to edit than my average projects.
Now I'm already thinking about video projects for Oshkosh this year; after many years I'll be back there in July.

@@martinpauly Thank you. I know it's a lot of work, and I have definitely mentioned your vids to others, and will continue to do so. As for my comment: It's just true, and your editing is more on a professional level on this video. (Especially the creative aspect.) I also noticed the difference in the video quality. If I'm not using RED, or other 4K & pro cameras, Sony has always been a favorite of mine. (I used to shoot a lot of Interviews with the Sony HD series.)

Yeah, I bet it's loud. One evening I rode my bicycle in a loop around the airport, and there was no escaping the noise. I hope all the airport neighbors like airplanes! :-)

This is the best video I've seen in many many years, maybe ever, that captures what it's like to attend one of the big shows like SNF or OSH. Many other videos tend to assume you already know what you're looking at. This was perfect for both pilots and non-pilots to really understand what goes on. Absolutely fantastic work!

I've been drooling over those for a few years now. But you'll love this: A friend of mine just bought one last October!! And he's not even a pilot!! (Yes. He is very wealthy.) He got a tour of the factory in Switzerland, and bought a lifetime membership with EAA to boot! He is going to Oshkosh this year, & I asked if I could hitch a ride, but he has to fly straight to NY after that for some business, and is bringing family, so we'll see. But, now he's looking at possibly getting the PC-24! LOL! Sigh...

Hi Kevin and Kaylee. I have never arrived at Sun 'n Fun that late in the week, so I cannot tell you from own experience. Having said that, Thursday you might find the first planes leaving which arrived earlier, so some spots will open up again.

Yes, the weather was great and I was able to ski a dozen times. This was the first time ever for Barb to attend a fly-in and she had a great time. Bodes well for my future!
