Because no one wants to be a geek. You may as well ask why Rachel was upset about being called a slut. I mean, that's what her friends would call her. Idk if you're a new fan, but back then kids didn't like being insulted. Now kids embrace who they are.
I would have liked to know who is Haley, in the first season she was probably a geek, but now she is married to the most popular guy in the high school and she is also pregnant. Probably she is a prom queen but I am not so sure.
I've asked myself the same question also because she has many aspects to her, I mean she's an honor student so she could be a geek, not to mention her only friend up until Lucas joined the ravens was Luke so she was definitely a loner geek, but she's also a cheerleader and a popstar so she could be a prom queen, especially because she's married to Nathan, but anyone that sees a high school student pregnant, they always call her a "slut" so she fits in friendly even if she wasn't like Rachel...in other words I have no clue hahshahsh
imma jus call her the dream bc shes living the dream i swear. shes a geek/extremely smart, married to the captain of basketball team/the most popular and one of the hottest guys in school, also a cheerleader, singer+song writer, besties with the popular guys aka brooke and peyton, then with the popular or well known guys like lucas, skills, mouth, bevin, etc. or shes all around known in the school in general herself, shes pregos and married in high school, etc.
I think it’s funny how there are 5 categories similar to those in the Breakfast club and I’m pretty sure the teacher in this making the categories was also the janitor in the breakfast club
Peyton is a prom queen for dating Lucas, who is the jock and the popular guy. Haley would be a prom queen too for dating Nathan. But Brooke, who is an independent queen, is a prom queen without dating anyone :] Just the name Brooke davis is ICONIC.
Ugh i hate that redheaded girl. People think that because you have “everything” you are not allowed to have issues. Peyton really was a loner, despite her being a cheerleader or whatever. I know the girl had her issues but you cannot just tell someone their problems arent as important as yours. Like, they were both loners. I hate her bitterness towards Peyton.
Aria Lifeless The entire point the teacher was trying to make was that the way people see you in high school can define you within those walls. But it doesn't have to define you when you leave. He pretty much said as much. What you see is not what another person is was the point of the episode. But Peyton is pretty and popular and hung out with the popular crowd going to all the parties and hanging out with her friends. Peyton was an introvert and she had a lot of issues but that she sees herself as a loner doesn't mean that anyone else would. And the redheaded girl had no reason to try to look beyond the surface to find out who Peyton was and all she'd been through. They weren't friends.

I loved this episode. It was nice to see everyone getting to know their fellow classmates.
This was probably one of my favourite and hands down best episodes of the first 4 seasons. It wasn't about drama which made it refreshing.
Even the teacher knows who is populaur. lol. He only asked about Mouth, Brook, Nathan, Lucas, and Peyton.... The important characters.
