That's an absolutely incredible setup. I can only imagine the tens of thousands that whole setup is and it rattles the whole house while remaining incredibly clean and not overpowering of the other speakers. Marvelous
@@thedudeisgreat Yeah that's cheap. Just look at the Integra for reality. The comment I responded to said tens of thousands. One of my several amps is more than $15,000 (Krell) and it's the second cheapest. My Boulders say hold my beer!
@carlos oliveira honestly, respect to you for having such a high end system. I am very poor and only have a Yamaha rxv379 powering my def tech d7. That's all i have. But that's cool that you take pride in your system
I never thought I'd see a home system that makes mine look comparatively small, and mine's got 4 tower speakers comprising of twelve 6" - 7.5" bass drivers, two 12" subwoofers and one 18" subwoofer. Nothing more satisfying than bass so deep you can barely hear it, but the immense sound pressure makes EVERYTHING flap around like a tornado is coming. Very nice system there buddy.
Drift Drift you are so wrong. It’s actually better to have more woofers. More woofers = more air being moved = more bass. Plus instead of having 4 separate subs in 4 separate boxes he just has two boxes with 4 woofers taking up less floor space. Does it look ridiculous, depends on the person but something like this meant to go behind an acoustic transparent screen for home theater. Stop making stuff up it just makes you look stupid.
Star Lord Hey bud, I have a question. I would like an amp powerful enough to power 2 Peavey PV112 12" Two Way 1600 Watt speakers that I have as front/left & add surrounding speakers plus a woofer. is there one out there that has Bluetooth built-in ?
takes me back 20 years... I had the Big box with 2 12 inch subs and used it in the truck and then moved it to the house. My neighbors didn't like me anymore for the next few years until I sold the house and moved :)
+CommanderLake I have 2 18" subs with 1000 watts to each and I made it a quest to soundproof the room. It took a layer of 5/8" sheetrock installed on sound channel strips, a layer of 6" Ruxol, another 5/8 sheet of drywall and that still wasn't enough so I doubled the wall with the same combo and that did the trick for about 99% or so. Worth every penny of material. I also made bass traps for my corners and it really helped take out the boominess without sacrificing that chest pressure when the subs hit GL on your build.
Hard work pays off. I told my wife I needed all those speakers because I was half deaf. She said the speakers were the reason and so I said I better get more then because at this rate I am going to be 3/4 deaf in a few weeks and will need them HA!
+Commanderlake - if you heard genuine 3hz bass tone for an extended period your internal organs would vibrate and kill you. So you weren't hearing a genuine 3hz, more like 10hz.
+Justin Hunting I find it amusing how people can lecture someone about something they have not experienced, I cant hear 3Hz but I can feel a small pressure in my ears. Try going into a room with no ventilation and moving the door in and out within the frame rapidly.
LudicFallacies i built 4 THTs , horns are a different ball game. these 4 18s will physically move more air, no doubt, but the horns may get substantially louder without as near as much distortion.
That's Awesome!! I'm somewhat of an audiophile myself and I can say with absolute certainty that is impressive! Not my choice or style but, however anyone who denies it is just a hater or a plain out richy rich snob.
If it is a dedicated room for watching movies it is called a theater or theatre. You have a living room with a surround sound system. You could call it a media room but even that is a stretch. I like your front left to right separation. It should create a super wide front sound stage. To each their own. Hope you enjoy it.

goliath idthirteen so is it the slot port itself? or the positioning of the port? what makes the bottom woofer almost useless? iv been wondering if/how different port shapes and positions effect things
Cincinnati Harry yes, the front firing port requires a lot of r&d tuning, the trick is to cause the port to exhale while the woofer moves out much like a paddleball, but its size doesnt permit it, just the air cancels out the waves, a rear firing port would be best for one that size
