It’s great to see someone who seems like a genuinely good person get excited over the expansion of an idealistic programme like the Blender Institute. I’m a fairly new user from C4D and Houdini, and I’m excited myself for the future of Blender.

Хочу сказать несколько слов! Буквально недавно я начал изучать Блендер, хотя начинал это делать ещё пару лет назад но как-то не сложилось, теперь же я ушел в него с головой и каждый день открываю для себя что-то новое! Это невероятная программа, в которой при желании можно сделать все что угодно - если конечно уметь это делать. Фишка в том, что я мог бы использовать любой другой пакет, разумеется пиратку - так что вопрос Бренда тут не стоит. Тут дело принципа, Ton Roosendaal это великий человек, который подарил простым людям то, что обычно никто не дарит. Он добрый, веселый и простой - без завышенной самооценки и понтов зазвиздившихся шишек. Именно это - программа сделанная от души и сердца была решающим в моём выборе и я ничуть не жалею об этом. В работе с Блендер нет ничего сложного, главное желание учится, изучать уроки и пробовать самому! Постоянно что то делать, если не поняли - глянули урок и сделали. Не надо сразу лезть в высоту как пытался я в первый раз когда забросил после явной неудачи! Потом же я начал с простого снеговика, затем сделал стул, и через пару дней смастерил уже анимированый вертолёт! В общем люди, будьте добры к другим, и заметите как мир преобразится и все к вам потянутся. Не надо оскорблять других, или показывать какой вы профи как это обычно делают те, кто сами не далекого ума. В общем - удачи вам и будьте счастливы! А Блендеру и его создателю я желаю попутного ветра, и поменьше палок в колёсах кодинга.

Well, only nostalgia remain after the old Entrepotdok location, but this move is toward THE GREAT FUTURE! GOOD LUCK friends, let the new place serve you well!
Today I got to meet Ton at the new office! He is a really nice person to hang around with! The office is not finished yet, but it already looks really nice! I'm definitely doing another visit in the future when the office is done! :)

I am donating every month since the announcement of project gooseberry and still am. I am proud to see what the team has come up with so far and how things develop and finally you get a nice new office!

That's the plan! We've done it in the past, during Big Buck Bunny and Yo Frankie! Then it just got too busy to host trainings and blender development/open projects. Now we have the space to bring that back, yay!

looks great! need re-paint. I would recommend the really warm blender orange in staircase to 2nd level! all over. super bright and warm. paint everything in the staircase. free scandinavian interior design tip.

its really nice to see blender growing this much, i feel like it will replace cinema 4d and stuff soon
ArloC they can to be honest. The only thing better is zbrush
maya is too embedded in the game industry and c4d got bought by nemetschek, who makes allplan (caad), they integrated c4d into allplan for visualisation. i (sadly) work with allplan but still do the arch viz with blender. good old .dxf exchange.
maya and c4d's role can shrink, but they will be on life support for many years, no matter how good blender is
