Blender is a life-changing software and the amount of happiness you and your team have spread is incredible, inspiring and admirable. Thanks a lot Ton and the Team. We appreciate everything you do for us!
Ton is one of the greatest humans ever
Box demonstration is just genius.
Blender is the only pure and good thing left in the world.
Thank you Ton, letting us be a part of your vision, you have a special place in my hearth.
Ton and the Team are just amazing, just as Blender is
I love how Ton explains how copyright with software works. Great demonstration. 😄 👍
Ton is such an awesome guy and I'm so glad that I had a chance to meet him in person. Also super happy to see him is such great shape and full of energy
What a wonderful founder and Chairman. Ton Rosendaal is a big role model and I would like to approach leadership the way he does. He makes the everyone in the community feel like they own a piece of blender and yet everybody knows it was his brainchild. And that's why people keep working selflessly to improve it even when finances are scarce.
The most amazing and interesting explanation of copyrights. Who knew, that the Blender chair could even make this crude topic compelling and easy to understand.
Blender is easily one of my favorite applications of all time. I learned 3d on Softimage XSI and really didn't think anything could really take its place. Blender changed that and i am so proud of all of the hard work that has gone into the software. Thank you all
Ton is fighting the good fight for creativity. Dankjewel
Ton is such a genius. He has an unmatched and authentic love for what drives him to evolve Blender and everything around it. I make a living off of archviz with Blender and it's about time to give back. What a Year my friends ❤🎉
The same GPL FUD since the interview with Blender Guru.
Someone must be paying a lot for such lawyers :/
Free software FTW!
And Blender is an inspiration for many of us!
In this world, Blender is a GOD DAMN MIRACLE. I'm literally crying by happiness here. For all the reasons you all know even better than me.
6:52 this happened to a friend of mine. He made a tool to help with his work and his colleagues while he was working in one of these companies. When he moved out from the company, he wasn't allowed to keep the tool. Note the tool wasn't the work that he was supposed to do for the company. He made the tool to help if the job so that he and his colleagues could be more efficient. The interesting thing is that these big companies accuse free software doing something that they are actually doing. My friend after the occurred started to make a better tool that now is now famous and probably its used even in the company that did that to him. The world goes round.
@@bartoszstyperek6306 When he had already done his job for the day he would spend the the free time at work coding the tool. It wasn't meant do be for the company, he was doing it in his free time, but inside the company.
@@bartoszstyperek6306 It also depends on the contract he signed. Normally in the contract it is mentioned that relevant work you do in your free time, very close to your job become company IP as well. This is a bit normal because else people would keep all good ideas for themselves saying that they invented/made them in their free time. Then they could even charge the company extra or stop them using it. If you do not want this type of contract then you better be independent and consult to the company.
In hindside what he could potentially have done, and only if the tool is sufficiently far from his job and/or sufficiently general, is to go to his manager before first use and introduction in the company. He could then have explained that he had this product that could be useful. Then his manager could have decided if the company would want to buy it from him for the company or not. If not the manager could still have decided to ask him to program a new tool with the desired functionality.
I made many software tools for my company and I agree that they are company IP now. At the same time I obtained a lot of experience that would also be useful in another company. I cannot take my tools to another company, but I could program new tools in another company. As long as I don't infringe on patents and I don't use and company trade secret information, I can do that, and open source code / software can obviously be used in both.
The BEST presentation.
I love blender its don't a lot for me, inspired me and helped me create videos and start building my own community! Thank you so much for everything.
great keynote!
Big thank thank you so much. Your kind and open for world❤❤❤
Let's goo!! This is gonna be AMAZING.
Yeahh, Blender Communitism 2023!!! Love it!!! 😋😛😜🤪😝😘🤩😍🥰
Oh my god he brought the original default cube. Legend.
Learning Blender has changed my life, thank you Ton
I 've been waiting Blender really build a nation and I will be the citizen
I donate a certain amount of money to the Blender Foundation every month. It's totally worth it to me.
Started learning Blender this year and grateful for how much the Blender Foundation has put into continuing to push the limits with what's possible and free! I can't afford to pay license fees for expensive 3D software and I'm thankful Blender is free.
Linux, Git, and Blender. The GPL creates value that remains free, even for commercial uses.
People often remember the Netherlands for its orangish tulip blooms and windmills, but my affection for the country stems from my love for Blender 3D
i am a big fan of Ton!
I really agree with pushing a little bit the culture of donations. A lot of friends love blender but don't donate because they just forget lol. Also, blender is the best!!
This man is great for real , I am a former 3ds max user for more than 15 years , shifted to blender four years ago and never regret it
I owe so much to this man. For years I struggled with rising costs of paid software untill Blender came along and since then my life completely changed!
Love to all the blender community and more power to this man!
Freedom = Power...
Great Blender!!! The best software with nice community.
Finally, it's Blender Conference again! 🤗
Looking forward to all the amazing presentations!
There are two Dutchmen that I'm a big fan of, one is Max Verstappen and the other more important guy is Ton Roosendaal who have initiated the creation of this beautiful piece of software.
I would be there next year. I love blender it’s awesome 👏
a tear droped..Im happy thx. . .
YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Thank you!!!!
Awesome keynote! This is by far the most complex software I’ve ever used, but all the things you can do with it nowadays are so intriguing that after years of having it installed only I recently made my first render.
Blender we love you
Bedankt voor het streamen van de blenderconference prachtig voorwoord ben zelf al jaren een vervent blender opensource fan.
Kan er helaas deze keer niet bij zijn. Succes met de blenderconference
Well done, Ton and Team!
I don't just know why am so excited but I am 😁. Thanks 👍
U guys r awesome 🎉🎉🎉
thank you for so much Ton, Blender is the best software out there and I love it!
i love Blender
Every year something new, exciting and fun .
Ton could be a multi billionaire with how successful Blender has become but instead chooses to keep the product 100% open source. There are very few individuals like him in this industry.
BCON22 changed my life, sadly could not come to BCON this year, but I am still a Blenderhead as ever, such a great thing you've started Ton!
gogogo blender! we love you!
Blender is just amazing
We love Ton! Go blender :)
Great Speech 🔥
This was amazing! 😁
Wow, very nice Blender update. Now keep bowing down to C4D King and Houdini King
I just love him, his down to earth style and his simplicity and his care and his enthusiasm. His jokes always makes me laugh 😅. Even during serious discussions he is very cool and enthusiastic. Without him blender wouldn't be here and none of us blender heads would be. Now saying all this I am not a pro and use blender a couple of time during work. But again I am using blender since 2.79 and before that in the 2000' s. But definitely it is soon going to be my main software. Thank you Ton Roosendaal❤😊 for your gift and your openness and to all the developers behind this wonderful software
I love that guy
🧡TON
This is amazing 😍
i am a big fan of Ton :)
Leadership at its best
AMAZING AS ALWAYS
Amazing
Fun to find out he's Dutch! What a great guy
Awesomely said, To me Blender Means = Beautiful Software
To you are a God!
Brilliant
I finished the whole video without even getting bored
That was fantastic to listen to. GNU is great
Ton!!!! :)
Blender is love. Blender is life. Blender is free.
1 of 93 videos. Here we go! I already watched the grease pencil ones with spider man. I’m intrigued to watch more. I got into blender in 2023. Have already created something. We will see what I create this year. Want to do some real life footage with some animation.
What a fucking legend
The best software I've discovered was Blender
nice
♥
Good old Dröna box from Ikea.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
yay blender
Tha boss boss
Blender
Can't thank that guy enough, he has improved Blender to not only be a competitor, but is including everything the "main" ones have.
I still miss c4d mograph, but nodes on blender will surpass it I think.
n thing I miss in Maya is the spot on moving when modelling, but blender will get there, better splines would help too. ( like mayas)
I didn’t know Sean Connery was behind blender 🤔
lets get as many people to donate! If one random quirky blender youtuber can make it to cooperate silver we can all chip in for bronze!
Blender is so good lolll
Audio a little on the low side.
Im still wait for final blender 4 version. Two week and im still waiting for 4.0 don sais next week :'( :/ .😂🎉❤ Blender is just amazing thank you guys.
awesome, that they upload whole events. Thanks for that. I think the volume of Ton Sir is a little low, had to increase a lot to listen clearly. just a suggestion.
This is really quiet! But I still love Blender 😊
Any exciting updates for Mac computers ?
16:23 I think Ton misunderstood the "plugin version of Blender" what he is explaining is like stripping Blender to become a C/C++ library to be added to other DCCs, but people are requesting a plugin system (as in Maya or Houdini) to be able to extend Blender using its C/C++ API, in the current design if you want to add a new feature to Blender you need to modify the source code of Blender and build it with your feature in it, this is very limiting and practically impossible to combine two independent new "plugins"...
The audio is so low
I love Blender, it's community, the freedome to create. This software has literally changed my life and I couldn't be more thankful.
