A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ UA-cam. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of UA-cam I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on UA-cam won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This UA-cam channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

You got to give props to Clarence after that embarrassing defeat he turned his life around and ended up becoming Captain America😂
😂😂😂😂 omg you win!
Hahahaha
Eminem just brings greatness to people. Also in all seriousness ive heard rumors Eminem is supposed to appear in a marvel comic again soon so itd be pretty funny if he interacted with Sam Wilson lmao
Must because his mom and dad had a real good marriage and he went to a private school😂🤣
Every time I watch the show all I can think is dam this nigga think he a super hero now lmao
I've seen this so many times, and it never gets old.
Is that even possible?
This will forever be fire 🔥🔥🔥
Eminem=🐐
I still sing that whole battle at work. Slow dayz
You said it man.
U need to watch the movie 8mile !’dude I am a country gurl and I was at Wal mart at midnight the night this movie went on DVD release
Gianna what you kno bout 8 mile
Real Story :
Anthony Mackie says, “There was this one day, we were sitting on the set and Eminem comes over and he’s like ‘what’s up man, I was reading a script and there is no reason for me not to like you, you are cool dude, I like you’ and then I said ‘I like you too.’ And then he was like ‘Cool, So you don’t mind if I add some stuff in the script about you? I was like ‘About me or the character?’. He’s like ‘no, no just some character stuff’. I’m like yeah no problem. So before the entire 8 Mile final battle, he googles me and learns about me and all that stuff he basically makes fun of me as Papa Doc. [Laughs] And then I’m like ‘That’s a little personal Mr. Marshall… I grew up in a nice house, my parents were nice to me, why are you making fun of me [Everyone laughs]. He literally walked over and said this gonna be dope.”
this is fake, Antony's name isn't CLarence.
@@marlimbob6688 Not fake, Eminem just don't utilize Antony real name ... You got this interview on youtube ;)
@@marlimbob6688 lol i sure hope youre joking antony s name isnt clarence lol and for that reason its fake lmao has if he would use his real name he just wanted the details to make it more real he probably kept the name the scropt said besides clarence sound so courgeois its perfect lol saying something is fake for stupid resons also makes you look stupid, a little advice think things trew before calling something fake why would anthony mackie lie about it
@@marlimbob6688 also im pretty freaking sure everyone who knows his name is anthony mackie knows his name isnt clarence dont forget water is wet and fire burns too
It’s probably easier to just drop the link to the interview
It's so sad Brittany Murphy died too, she was such a good actress. And real life person as well.
Sweet
"A real life person" like she didn't exist
@@gamingassassin0139 not what I meant by real life person, I meant outside of being an actor she was a real PERSON
@@fenderfox5080 that is what all actors are real people ...... Im sorry if i don't get what you mean but that just doesn't make sense to me.
@@gamingassassin0139 lol it's ok, real like keeping it real
The ultimate diss in a rap battle: Your parents have a good marriage.
He was being sarcastic
paper over rock nah he was calling out the gangster image that Doc was portraying although he had a good upbringing
@@kweqwequgtweqfq4694 "there is no such thing as half way crooks" he absolutely humiliated him.
It’s crazy that em wrote every line for him and the opponent in the battles
Thank you
Well I would win every battle if I could do that🤷🏻♂️
No, he did not, the rapper "Craig G" from the LEGENDARY "juice crew" wrote the verses that Eminem's opponents wrote :)
yeah thats right my man, which is crazy.
This is movie magic. Em was only an "ok" battle rapper at best. It's based off of his battle with Juice at Scribble Jam. Except in that battle, Em got bodied and it ended his battle rap career. His tape getting found by Dre literally saved his career. Without Dre. Em would be Charone.
search UA-cam for Eminem vs Juice there's a few copies of that battle on here.
If you wanna see a white boy that is pretty insane as a battle rapper. Search UA-cam for Rone vs Charone. or Rone vs pretty much anyone. That dudes probably the best white dude to ever do it in the battle rap game.
Bruh I haven't rewatch 8 mile in awhile when Future said *"Tell yo momma imma be over later!"* I laugh my ass off.
😂😂😂
“Tell her to save me a plate” 🤣
This was Anthony Mackie’s first movie.. He plays Falcon in the Avengers!
Captain America now 🙂
@@camverge21 Imagine getting owned so hard by Em in a rap battle that you turn your life around and become Captain America.
Lovin all the younger folks goin back through Em's catalog and finding an appreciation for his older stuff but yall make me feel ancient and I'm only 32 lol.
Me too!
I mean the ancient part 😜
Felt that man 😅
Stop acting like he is just a kid
@@BruudaOsas stop acting like dogs are cute
Yesssssss!!!!
👑🖤👑
If I not mistaken, didn't Em write all these verses? For himself and his opponents?
I could be wrong.
8 Mile is a incredible movie. Eminem even won a Oscar for, 'Lose Yourself.'
Oh and RIP Proof!
I think he did
Yup
He did.
Who else is better than Em?
Answer: No One
RIP PROOF
@@Ditumisho it destroyed Eminem to lose Proof.. but I believe that he paved the way for the rap God, and Eminem has never forgotten. It's a shame, they would be so amazing together on a track in 2021
@@BackyardButcher Of course it destroyed him. I am unfortunately all too familiar with losing a best friend. It is earth shattering.
As Em said in his verse on, 'Best Friend'
"Who you think I'm talking 'bout?
Lifts me up when I'm down and out
Still look to him without a doubt
Still got a (best friend, best friend) Shout it out
Like there's never been a louder mouth
Should have never been allowed a mouth
Now that I got a higher power now when I blackout, power outage"
And,
"Dawg, I'm the truth like Biggie rockin' with 2Pac in the suit
Talking to Proof dropping a deuce
Fill up a syllable clip like a refillable script
Cock and I shoot
Who you think's my glock that I use?
That I pull from to get my strength up against these haters
And he'll be waiting at the gate when you get sprayed up
Sending you hoes straight up to deal with my (best friend)"
When you have Proof, you can have no doubt. So hard.
I have a hard time listening to that song, every single time.
If you want more context, watch the whole movie, it's inspired by Eminem's life before getting into mainstream (not fully biographical)
Also, the beat of the last battle is Shook Ones 2 by Mobb Deep, legendary song
It is. Eminem also references it at one point, and the whole crowd knows it (the "halfway crooks" line). That song deserves its own reaction - it's intense.
I cant believe Ive watched like 10 of these reactions and this is the first person to recognize or comment on Mobb Deep. That shit FUCKING HITSSSS. Thats probably my favorite beat ever.
and not even that it was also the first song u hear in the whole movie
@@armpit_farts7327 I thought everyone knew that. 🤷♂
“Ward, I think you were a little hard on the beaver”😂😂 Never gets old💯
brub i always laugh when i hear that line
the way he says it is just fucking awesome lol
I still don't get it
@@salemgelidi3266 it’s a reference to the show, “leave it to the beaver”
Best part was taking away anything he could have said against him.
Watch the movie, dude. It's awesome and is basically about Eminem's life.❤️😀❤️😀 Love this.😀
Not quite but ok beautiful.
also this rap battle isnt as good without the context..
@@craptos6938 hol tf up
One of my favorite movies of all time!! So much respect for him.
7:17 '' Imma fuck u up! '' it was SOOO WELL TIMED with the beat lmao
This is a lesson for all rappers.. before coming at Eminem... just watch this video once... Life is giving you another chance
Only Kxng Crooked can fuck with Em
@@pwtplanetcob royce 5 9?
@@sinner2499 see the thing is Royce and Em are literally one of the closest buddies so we will mostly never have Royce and Em against each other. Although if it ever Happened, it will be a good battle. Royce is 🔥🔥
Plenty of the people who have come at Eminem are just fine
@@PotawatomiThunderNew Th here really hasn’t been “plenty” to even go at him. Not worth mentioning anyway. “Fine” is a relative word. Who has came a him, thats liked more than they were before ? Not riding his nuts or anything. The fact is when the people name their top 5, and he’s not included, but the people they named do have him there. He’s on on the next level. It is what it is,
fun fact: that championship round got inspiration from Anthony Mackie's real life bio.. like Em just googled shit bout him to write that diss..
You could make the argument that Eminem is the current equivalent of Shakespeare. A master wordsmith, he wrote and starred in this movie, loosely based on his life coming up in Detroit. And it's a great movie.
You should check out Aesop Rock. Pudding put together a list of rappers with the most unique words used and Aes is on top with 7,879.
He didn’t write the movie
Em might be one of the greatest rappers of all time. He's not Shakespeare.
@Jonny Danggang he didn’t Craig g and another artist did.
@Jonny Danggang he wrote his bars but the other parts were written by a different artist. Eminem was writing the Eminem show and the 8mile soundtrack at the same time he was filming the movie. The film has elements inspired by his experiences but it’s not based on his life.
What I love most about this film is what Roger Ebert said. "This is an inspirational movie that might actually inspire someone."
There's actually some behind the scenes footage that's cool to check out as well. Because they had a large group of extras in that small packed room for long hours of filming, they wanted to keep things interesting for them between takes, so they held a small rap battle contest for whoever in the crowd wanted to step up and compete, the winners would actually get to film some of their own stuff against Eminem that may-or-may not have been used in the movie if they needed extra footage of earlier round battles.
The three people that get chosen tried their best, and one of them even got under Eminem's skin it seems and he just tore into the dude, lol. It's a decent watch.
My 70 year old mom has this movie on DVD 😂
Your Mom has good taste...classic movie. And Music to be Murdered By will become one of his classic albums.
There was a few moments I forgot I was watching a reaction and thought he was actually in the crowd 🤣🤣
I love the way Rome Life has himself in the lower corner of the vid! Never saw that before in a reaction video. It’s great!❤
Before Em became famous or before main stream media , he was a underground battle rapper, everyone thought he was black, before Dre signed he came 2nd in rap olympics,
I watched this in a packed theatre
It was great, there was people running up and down the aisles
Popcorn flying everywhere😆
You'll appreciate the ending even more if you watch the entire movie
Holy shit! Your expression at 11:42 says it all. I saw this on the big screen and the whole place got that same look! Always super glad to see you dropping videos! Thanks and stay well!
Yo even tho I've seen that movie god knows how many times, when u said "bro im about to go and watch the full movie now, i don't care" i felt that 💀🤣🤣
This is classic LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it! Clarence lives with both his parents.. and Clarence parents have a real good marriage LMAO Eminem will always be the king of battle rap just for being able to 8 Mile somebody off the get go
My favorite part of the movie is the food truck battle...somebody give him a biscuit!
I died!
@@roxannemoser 😅😅 hell yes
I love that everything Eminem says in the Papa Doc battle is true about Antony Mackie, his real name and school etc :)
@@BackyardButcher you are awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥 thank you for this lovely comment
@@newbeginning2045 you are very welcome🥰🥰
Check out the food truck battle in 8 mile! Its awesome too. This coming from a metal/grunge head. My favorites are Alice In Chains, Temple of the Dog, and Megadeth. But gosh, I love rap!!!
Truthfully, I studied music for 10 years and it was going to be my major, but my Mom pitched a fit. That's my only regret, not following my dream. But, listening to music and then studying it seriously made me love all genres!
Em used his weakness as a sword shield and aroumor and killed evreyone he went against what mgk forgot is he started his career as a battle rapper no one can touch this man he will find evreything about you and turn his own weaknesses into a carrer ending weapon props to the king of Detroit and props to all the other white rappers he influenced including me
I remember I was like 6 or 7 standing in front of the TV singing with em, to loose yourself and I was his hype man in the battles. Good times loving this em content forreal. Next you should review how you felt about the movie
Does he even know that Eminem started of as a rap battler that’s why his diss tracks are so good
The funny thing is that em actually like this dude real information about him and they use it in the movie
A unique milestone in 1 Movie.
Eminem the rap god as an actor in his own movie, made many songs and the song Lose Yourself won the 1st rap song ever and only Oscar for best song.
Portugal here for the Goat Eminem always since day one and forever. Thanks for reacting. Salutes
That's not right. Lose Yourself was the first rap song to win an Oscar, but since then, Three-6 Mafia has won for the song "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp."
I love the look on the DJs face when he’s told to spin that shit”! He’s like really?
Eminem can diss you for having good parent and education.
and people still think that dissing em is a good idea
I know right LOL these little kids cancel Eminem?? He's been around long before these punks or even born LMAO
We should praise the people that try to diss him, we get amazing songs because of them😂
Considering some people still believe the Earth is flat, it’s not that surprising...
You earned a sub outta me bro😆😆 absolutely love watching people react to Eminem who didn’t grow up with him!!
I love how confident Rabbit looks up at the end. I watch this all the time.
Love how people don't realize Em wrote literally every line in this
Eminem did a behind the scenes battle with actual rappers in the crowd, he shreds 3 people it’s pretty funny, you should watch that next!
Joined the military and straightened himself out 😂
This guy’s an Avenger? His real name’s Clarence!
have you ever heard " D12 " its a bunch of Eminems homies, suggest " D12 - Purple Pills "
I second this motion
react to "the warning" by eminem dissing mariah carey using the audio from her phone calls with him. shits fire
He really is honestly I think the g.o.a.t. if course there's many others, 2pac, 2 short eazy-e many others, but Eminem is on another level like Dave Chapelle. You gotta see this movie if you haven't already. I saw it in the theater and it was one of those everyone's cheering out loud movies 😆
He’s the GOAT because he also plays homage to them bru.
I love Eazy and Too Short, but they aren’t in the top 50 of best rappers. Neither one of them were very good rappers. There’s a difference between making good songs and being a good lyricist.
I believe Em wrote all the bars in this. Great reaction!
We all know Clarence thought of a comeback in the shower
I went cinema to watch this, was amazing. Everyone left there rapping out the cinema hahahaha
You should really listen to, Busy Bee versus Kool Moe Dee 1981 Harlem world championships, to hear the original battle rap
Back in the day you didn’t know who you was gonna be facing so you didn’t pre write it was all off the top that’s why he’s still feared you give him time to write its crazy but off the doom he’s still feared to this day
Mad shit. I was like, 11 in 2002. I remember me & my friends were already on the Eminem hype-train and got hold of a pirated copy of 8 Mile to watch. Was fire.
AINT NO SUCH THING AS HALFWAY CROOKS
I'd watch you watch 8 Mile. It was directed by an Oscar winning director. I feel like the film puts the battles in context.
This shit fuckin never gets old. The whole movie is great. But the ending is so fuckin satisfying. And Rabbit gets beat up so much, physically and mentally, that he earned that victory.
Poppa doc the only man to stand up to Thanos but run from a rabbit. B Rabbit > Thanos.
Clarence blinked during their stare down. LIke Mike Tyson said. You lost before the fight even started. I put the fear in your eyes, and heart before the fight ever began.
6:54 that's when he smashed a mumble shit, and also bro I'm not sure if you know the original song of the last round, it's Mobb Deep - Shook Ones, Pt. II
That song deserves its own reaction video. Hardcore rap classic.
My favorite part is when Eminem says “look Snoop Dogg just got a fucking boob job”
You know it’s a movie right? It’s not like it’s people really battling.
Bro react to HARRY MACK OMEGLE BARS. You wont be disappointed. He just released episode 35🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Clarence lost to Em then retired from battle rap and became the Falcon!
I always get cold chills on ems last part lmaoooo
You should react to Shook ones, it's the song in the last battle. Iconic 90's NYC hip hop
Shook Ones Part II. But yes!
7:50 this is the moment he realized he effed up 🤣
Em won an Oscar for his song "Lose Yourself" that he wrote for this movie. He didn't attend therefore it wasn't performed during the award ceremony. Last year at the Oscars... they were doing a video tribute to past "Best Song" winners... and then the stage lifted and there was freakin' Eminem FINALLY performing Lose Yourself at the Oscars!!! It was epic! NO ONE knew he was going to be there.
I saw 8mile in the movie theatre in 2003.
My sister took me, I was 12.
That's Anthony Mackie - The Falcon / Captain America
2:55 i loved that character man. Em broke his nose becoz he messed around with his gf yet he respected him and adored him always.
10:37 😂😂😂
You can't keep Em down. Alot of people want to chalk this up to being a movie that resembles his life, but I think their is more truth in the 🔥 and the fight in him. 👊✊
as a side-note bro, this movie represents the era in which eminem was raised as an artist; thats why hes so good in what he does and "un-beef-with-able" as ive heard him called. hes not a bad person, hes just a professional. to him, to come out on top is just a means to show off his craftsmanship. and obviously, if your job is to do something youre passionate about, u never work a day in ur life.
Great to see you enjoy this but you should have watched the movie then filmed your reaction when you got to these scenes. More than half the chirps wouldn't make any sense unless you watched the movie. All good though, in any case, watch it when you can as it's a solid flick!
Popa docs been in alotta movies he went on to have a promising career after these rap battles suprisingly. He was also in hurt locker
Eminem actually wrote every word of all these battles so he's really battling himself here.
React to " Shook ones part 2" by Mobb deep that's the song the beat is from in the final battle
I really think Lotto won that battle. Whatever, it's Em movie.
No matter how many times I watch this I absolutely lose my shit. That shit you said about how just cause you’re saying it aggressively doesn’t mean it’s any good is true as hell.
true
Lol mgk nick cannon anyone else thought they could battle or diss em
Remember that Eminem wrote all the raps in the whole movie counting the final battle scene raps.
8 mile is the fucking blueprint! Respect!
fantastic movie you all see his boy proof in the front of the crowd
It took you way too long to realize that was Falcon. Lol.
I made a really interesting video called "what if papa doc didnt choke" where i responded as papa doc, great reaction man!
He lost the battle so he decided to become Captain America. :-D
Did you react to Ice Cube 'No vaseline
React to some battles from the movie ""bodied""
I REALLY REALLY want Eminem to write a Broadway musical. Think "Hamilton" cranked up. :)
My guy literally just teleported us in his room
U should react to 8mile bonus rap battles
This is how em started . This his real life . His gf slept with one of them 🥺
Hope you saw the movie before your reaction
It was a great movie. It's based on his life.
Shook ones beat goes hard can’t think of the name of the beat anymore fuck such a hard classic and ems lines referencing shook ones is so fucking good
You HAVE to listen to this short interview with Anthony Mackie about the ending rap battle. Not a lot of people even know about it and it makes what you just watched even better. Trust me! ua-cam.com/video/tgCxlQUajrI/v-deo.html
Not sure why this is so requested it's only really fire if you've just watched the whole movie
Sooooooooooo did you watch the movie already???
Gotta watch 8 mile🤟🎧
"Yo"
*Last words before Disaster*
ROME BABYBOI!!! JUST STARTED WATCHING UR REACTIONS , U MY NEW FAVE SON! KEEP UP THE EM STUFF PEACE all the way from ENGLAND!!!!!!!
Crazy how em wrote every line in the battles and wrote lose yourself during lunch break
GOOO WATCH THE FULL MOVIE NOW 🤣👌
