    Thank you for this. I came across your video a month ago before I new what I was doing. I ended up in a rabbit hole, changed a lot of settings in Handbrake, ended up chasing color correction, among other things. Just came across your video again and this was all I ever needed. This simple export retains all the HDR data I need with no need to change any settings. I did pick up some new skills, but oh man I was doing it the hard way.

    would be cool the have an updated video about this. Especially concerning HDR content from the PS5. I noticed, that UA-cam now understands the source Webm files from the PS5 and shows them as HDR on my HDR compatible devices but they still look washed out. On SDR UA-cam colours also are washed out and I'm looking for a way to deal with this. In a perfect world UA-cam would render HDR content in a SDR colorspace for non-hdr-viewers and offers HDR to those who have the hardware and I thought this is the way it works if you feed youtube the right formats.

    I have tried it and I am experiencing some troubles with my HD footage.
    Whenever I try to convert the CoD Warzone Gameplay there is some kind of flickering in the MP4 file.
    Is there any solution for it? Do I have some wrong settings? I tried with 59,94 (as source) 60 and 30fps, but it doesn't make any difference.
    My monitor is only HD and doesn't support HDR.
    Does anybody have some helping tips for me?

      I recommend getting a USB thumb drive and copy the files over. You then have to convert the WebM format to MP4 and then you can edit. Don't think their is any other way to keep the 4K.

    Thank you for the video. I'm trying to get 4K video from the PS5 to UA-cam and reserve the original quality of the video but all of my uploaded 4K videos to UA-cam looked washed out and the colors are way off. I've done some research and I understand Handbrake could be used to convert and preserve the quality of the 4K video by using the filter configuration tab and changing the coulourspace to BT.709. Has anyone else run into this same type of issue? Thanks again!

    • @ET_Videos
      @ET_Videos  Рік тому +1

      Basically your "problem" is it's HDR video and only looks good on HDR TV/Monitor. So...What I do for UA-cam is either turn off HDR on the PS5 or in your editing suite...de-HDR it. Well at least that's my best guess. You might want to try a quick test with HDR on and HDR off and then bring it into your computer and upload check it out.

I started off using "Max Quality" but tried "Playstation 2160p 4K Surround" and "Vimeo UA-cam HQ 2160p60 4K" What's the practical difference in quality and speed between these 3 presets ? I don't want to suffer quality, is the Vimeo UA-cam preset a good enough quality to be unnoticeable to most viewers who are watching on a 4K screen?

    • @ET_Videos

      I don't think it makes much of a difference between those two. I don't have time to go analysis both formats and see which is better, so roll the dice and just go with it. LOL, most people wont care at all. If you need full quality, just upload the WebM directly, as I think UA-cam supports it.
