The gun looks to be a MTs255 converted to a 20 gauge and a pistol, with a rifled barrel. That would make those .62 caliber slugs. It can do sabots, meaning it can load AP bullets in a sabot and do explosive rounds.
The turret's insane inaccuracy is a nod to the games. It's so incredibly easy to avoid machine gun turrets in the game lol.

24:10 - the show doesn't adapt any story of any Fallout, it's its own story that happens after the events of all the games. You basically play as your own character in the games.
The Ghoul definitely found a legendary gun on his travels over the years

I think the dog is a Belgium malinois. They are basically a smaller leaner German shepherd on speed. 😂 They are very popular military and police dogs due to their drive.

That weapon the Ghoul was using has explosive rounds which is why it was tearing people up. If he had armor piercing rounds Max would have been in trouble.
you don't play any off these characters in fallout you make your own character, this is a new story set in the fallout universe.

@@KoolAidQuantum Pretty sure i saw an article that they added them in an update. You can get them in your vault for fallout shelters, I believe. They also explained their official stats. Its pretty much what you expect.

They may have added stuff or notes to others IDK the 76 game is constantly adding stuff so maybe they will do a syinc up with the season 2 and have a meta narrative where we play a dlc quest to see what happened between seasons. This whole games to live action being good stuff feels like the change from super hero movies being not taken seriously by execs to being taken seriously and being good...so good people expect them to be amazing or their trash lol...Games to live action and anime to live action might be the new craze...hope we dont get tired of it like people did for marvel and DC...lol Cause i still like them all just give me a good movie or show and ill watch.
Just for the record. Any names of products you see in the show existed prebomb. So vault-tech was a company before the bomb drop.
All the games you play as your own created characters. Lucy, max & the ghoul are new characters for this story, but they confirmed the show is canon to the games and take place like 10 years after fallout 4.
Dogmeat is in all the Fallout games I think with the exception of 76
There are about 8 games total in the Fallout franchise, , but the big 5 are Fallout and Fallout 2 (the original Interplay games, made in the 90's), Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 (made by Bethesda), and Fallout: New Vegas (done by Obsidian under license, using the Fallout 3 engine). There's also Fallout: Tactics and Fallout: Brotherhood of Stee, but both those games are radical departures from the action RPG genre, and Fallout 76, which is an MMO. Fallout 4 is the most recent entry.
the reason the tv show is gory is because the games are also, they also wanted u to fell how brutal and savage the wasteland is.

To answer the question: If this was a Fallout game, the player would be Lucy. Maximus would be a companion, and likely the Ghoul as well.
I saw a video where someone said that they could also represent three types of players and their play styles.
I don't think they tell you in the show but the huge bracelet they are wearing are called pip boys that usually for the most part unless stolen only vault dwellers have access to. They're highly valuable and very important to your survival.
None of these characters are in the games, the show is a completely new story and it turned out to be more entertaining than I was expecting.

Stimpacks are the healing items in the show. Basically just think of them almost like a healing potion with how magical they are.
And with most of them, you are usually a vault dweller leaving the vault and are on a mission. Most of the games you can also gain allies that will join you on your journey.
At the beginning episode you heard her talking about her proficiency in skills and that is part of the character creation in the games. You usually pick if you want to focus on science, thriving, hand to hand, or weapons. A lot of the allies you find usually specialize in a proficiency too. Like maybe melee weapons or guns or even science and they will be able to help you do things.

Fallout new vegas was not made by Bethesda but by Obsidian Studios and it plays close to the Events of the show. Funfact Obsidian would get a Bonus from Bethesda if the game Hits a metascore of 80% but got only 79%

So this series is an add on to the game lore, independent from the other stories (mostly). The concept of following 3 characters is to allow the viewer to see through 3 different play types. Good, bad, ugly kinda feel. But more like Good, neutral, and bad karma. Karma you raise or lower in the game based on your actions. So like the game we watch these guys make choices that influence the world. For example, in game if I kill this npc, will the town hate me? Can I do business with that faction? I'm loving watch yall piece this together. Like in fallout terms, you both have like a 7 or 8/10 in perception .
Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 are free on Playstation plus but Fallout 4 is getting a update I believe on the 28th of this month
In the game you just play one character, the one that comes from whichever vault they're in.
This show is not based on the plot of any game, it takes place after all the games, so there's no game where we play as Lucy or Maximus.
Fallout 1 and 2 were an isometric rpg game. They look pretty old now but if you're into those kind of games you can give them a try.
Then the franchise was acquired by Bethesda, the developers of The elder scrolls series, so instead of following that isometric strategic perspective, they just turned them into Skyrim but in the fallout world.
Fallout 3 is very good, but the old engine it runs on may scare you. Fallout New Vegas is a game that was made by the old company that made the first 2 games, but now in the first person perspective that fallout 3 uses. It still uses that old engine but is a very good game, some hardcore fans defend it as the best one in the series.
Then we have fallout 4 with new graphics, engine, physics, etc. You could say that the gameplay feels better than the last 2 games because of the new engine. I personally liked the quests and story of fallout 3 and new Vegas more than fallout 4.
Then we have fallout 76, the multiplayer game of the franchise, with starfield/cyberpunk/no man's sky levels of disappointment at launch. I never played because of that, I don't really know if it's ok nowadays.
76 got a lot of updates to improve it over the years.
no one from this show is from the games the only one is the dog but it does take place in the fallout world. this show takes place after fallout 4 but before fallout 5 which is not coming out yet
11:20 They reason Maximus didn’t want to go in the cave was because there were radiation barrels in there and he had no protection. In the game if you get too close to those then you start to take damage and lower your max health. Why would you want to go in there yourself when there is a dude in protective armor right next to you?!
12:15 Also, the reason Maximus didn’t shoot right away is, again, because he has no armor and protection. If that bear had turned on him in those close quarters then he’d be 💀. Plus, with Titus forcing him into the radiation cave, Maximus looked like he was losing respect for him, made even more apparent when Titus ran from the bear and left Maximus. He only took the shot when he was sure he could kill the bear instantly and was in a better vantage point. He might have even waited on purpose for Titus to take more damage.
I wouldn’t have helped Titus either. He’s the kind of companion I would have used as canon fodder.
Maximus comes across as very calculating in some ways and yet naive in others.
In the games, a potential path to take is to use your speech skills to avoid fighting or violence. So if Lucy's little speeches seem silly or out of place, it's a part of the game.
You were talking about the actress playing Lucy and she was in a show called Yellowjackets on Showtime. You guys should check it out some time. Amazing show

The main characters represent the different styles of game play....Lucy is the diplomacy run with high speech, Maximus is the idiot savant playthrough who fails every speech check, and the Ghoul is the murder hobo.
Comments aren’t loading so this has probably been answered but she’s a Belgian Malinois. Beautiful dogs but probably not recommended for most people who want dogs as their family pet. She seems bigger than average though, but maybe it’s just perspective.
The dog in the show is a Belgian Malinios. In the game the companion dog is a German Shepherd named Dogmeat. 👍
You should definitely check out Fallout 4! It’s the smoothest one to get into. Fallout 76 is the most recent game, but it’s an MMO.

None if these characters are in the games. A voice actor from fallout 4 has a cameo but other than that, this is a complete separate story in the world of fallout from any of the games. It also takes place later than any of the games.

When you play one of the games, you play a character through the whole game that has some back story, but you create their name and appearance etc etc. You set their stories through moral choices and quests.
The characters in the show are new characters and you can play LIKE them, in the sense that you can be nice like Lucy, gray like Maximus, or hardened like the Ghoul, or anywhere in-between granted there are enough options in the game.
The first few Fallout games were Interplay (Fallout 1 and 2, and I believe Tactics). Bethesda took over with Fallout 3, New Vegas, Fallout 4, and 76. They also did Fallout Shelter, but that’s a mobile game that doesn’t have what I’d call a distinct storyline.

This show is all new characters in the fallout world. None of these main characters are in any game. Most games you start as a Vault Dweller and something happens that makes you have to goto the surface.
You probably know it by now, but they're not German Shepards but Belgian Malinois... And yes, Wilzig the scientist saved her life, as she was born underweight and was meant to be incinerated, and you can see she wasn't the brightest dog, struggling to follow basic commands, but he loved her...
Stimpack is what you use in the game when your health is low.

Thanks for reacting, the tv show is such an amazing adaptation and so well written, definitely play fallout 4 and dont worry about building settlements too much, just have fun on all the side quests!
The game and tv show are awesome and its doing well so i hope it prompts bethesda to get on with Fallout 5.
Maximus fumbling the gun because bad luck .. low luck probably 1 star and all strength based character with no agility is such a nod to the games as well as the ridicoulous backpack they carry around due to players looting everything in sight and carrying way to much around, the writers/creators have played the games.. they know what they are doing 😂.. cant wait for more.
I have been playing bethesda games since DoS based systems back in the day, they are masters at open world games, they did the first amazing Terminator game first person shooter called 'Future Shock' check out the nostalgia!

A fallout game where you switch characters would honestly be pretty dope. It should be a game they let Obsidian make while Bethesda themselves works on FO5.
There are Wasteland 2 and 3, they are from original Fallout developers and more similar to Fallout 1 and 2, and what I like instead of just one character you have a group.
Yeah, you guys need to play the Fallout games on your channel. There's a lot of us older fans who love a good Let's Play of the games especially from new players with fresh eyes for the experience.

After starting this I went to find some Fallout playthroughs, and the first one was very 90s style. Basic story hook, generic character, etc. It didn't feel like it related at all, other than the vibe.
I had suggested fallout 3 last but yeah fallout 4 would be good too graphics are better and gameplay is as well

Fallout 76 is free right now just play it. Also the other games are free on game pass. Get a free trial and play it free or wait till epic games gives it away for free. Tons of ways to get fallout surprised if you don’t already have it. Game is very much like series but series is a new story so it’s a great way to handle it. Kinda like how tales of the borderland by telltales is the best borderlands story cause it follows random people instead of the plot of games. No expectations to compare. Just need a solid story. Doesn’t work as much for say halo or lord of the rings cause people want the main story. Knights of the old republic is one of the best Star Wars stories and it’s a game. They don’t connect to the films as it’s way before them and better for it.
Yes fallout 4 is the best one to star with all the games are in the same world but its own storylines

I think the squire backpack is to show you carrying tons of loot. Remember you can pick up any item in these games just about.

the show is completely different than the games. The games cover their own plot, cities and characters. They are just in the same world but the stories aren't tied to each other.
