  • When streaming from any Apple computer, you might find yourself stuck trying to send the audio from your DAW to OBS, so you can have a nice sounding live stream, mix your performance, use backing tracks, etc.
    With Loopback you can route audio form any DAW to OBS and it's really easy, but a bit expensive. Watch the video to know more!

    THANK YOU!! I didn't realize whatever I named the device was how it would appear in other apps so I kept searching for "loopback" instead of the new name!

    Or... for just $200, you can buy a Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd gen, and the drivers (Focusrite Control) have a channel called "Loopback", which you can configure to pick any channel from your interface, including the output of your DAW, back into any application in your PC, like OBS.

    The alternative doesn't have to involve using physical cables and routing.. there are also things like Blackhole and Soundflower (which is a bit more janky than Blackhole) to do the same software audio routing for free.

    When I use Twitch, OBS and LoopBack I have the following problem with the Alert Box: when there is an alert I can go in my headphones the sound, but in the stream it is not heard, that is to say, the people who see the stream do not hear absolutely anything. Do you have any solution to this problem?

    I'm performing a live gig on Friday and it'll be through Streamyard... which doesn't allow for OBS audio to be an input device unfortunately. I'm trying to find a way to have reverb compression and EQ during my live performance with my piano, could I add reverb onto my Ableton and then use Loopback to make it a virtual mic and have it outputted straight to Streamyard? Thank you!

    The "pass-thru" icon was somehow disabled here on Loopback for me. I was having a problem to stream a recording track from ableton.. the stream would only send the sound from my mic, but nothing from a track in ableton if I played it. Now It worked easily! Thanks so much

    Julian, tudo bem? Ví que vc é brasileiro. Não entendi muito bem o que vc falou em ingles. Eu me interessei pelo título Loopback.
    Eu tenho um macbook pro, o programa Cubase e uma placa de audio UR44 da Steinberg. O meu problema é, principalmente, fazer com que o som da minha UR44 vá diretamente para o OBS. Como não consegui eu liguei o audio da saída de fone da placa ao usb do computador através de uma plaquinha de conversão da Yamaha. Funciona, mas não é o ideal, você sabe. Pode me aconselhar? Obrigado. Já me inscrevi e curti sua página.

    • @Vincesector
      @Vincesector 4 роки тому

      Amigo, Boa tarde.
      Acho que se você tiver um P2 stereo para P10 mono, voce pode conectar o teu UR44 a uma plaquinha de audio USB no teu macbook (ta uns 30 reais no mercado livre), ai o macbook reconhece direto como dispositivo de audio via USB.
      Infelizmente a Saida jack 3.5mm do Macbook nao reconhece input direito, entao tem que ser via USB mesmo.
      E depois sô configurar em fontes no OBS para capturar input desse USB.

    The amount of money you'll end up spending on software to do this, you could just buy an audio interface that actually comes equiped with loopback.
    *1.* - Zoom AMS-22 *($79)*
    *2.* - Audient EVO 4 *($129)* - I actually own this one. It's puts the loopback on your system as an audio input, which you can then select in OSB.

In OBS studio audio settings, choose Mic/auxillary audio 1 Blackhole16 channel and Mic/auxillary 2 your audio interface
