Great song, I used to sing that to me wife all the time. The lyrics are by a man who finally realized what he has. Part of what makes it so great! Thank you
Gerry Rafferty was such a really good singer. Hard to try and sing along with this and be anywhere decent. His soul and the texture of his voice was just awesome.
A true talent and a wonderful song. He broke on the scene with Baker Street, one of my all time favourite tracks. I still have the original single I bought back in the 70's. Great reaction!!
I watched her facial reaction to this song, because it's a total love song from a man to a woman and it made her smile several times. You can't hide that reaction.
The wonderful Gerry Rafferty. One, if not the, greatest talents to come out of Scotland. I discovered a lot of Gerrys music after he sadly passed away. A true genius. Poured his heart & soul into many of his songs. Totally disagree with you comparing this musical genius to The Carpenters & saying it wasn't in the same league - I guess that's musical taste for you though..! Gerry is known to far too many people for his giant hit Baker Street, but if they listened to his other stuff I'm sure they'd realise his unmistakable talent. Its Easy To Talk, Winters Come, Welcome To Hollywood, The Royal Mile, Dont Speak Of My Heart, The Ark, The Light Of Love to name but a few...........take a listen, you'll love them. RIP Gerry Rafferty.
The Carpenters did a cover of a Leon Russell song. Gerry Rafferty wrote his own song. No comparison. Go check out Leon Russell's version or George Benson's cover of This Masquerade. Leon wrote it for George.

Gerry was a Scottish national treasure. Miss him 😢
Beautiful song ! Love his unique voice. One of my all time favourites. They don't make them like this anymore.
paisleys finest. My grand dad was good friends with his brother, both from paisley

Ah. . . memories. This is the song I listened to while dressing for my wedding. 25 years ago. Must be true. Still going strong. Right Down The Line.
Gerry was the lead singer in another ‘70’s group, Steelers Wheel. You should react to their song Stuck in the Middle with You.
Loved her reactions to this song!
You require mega talent and a bit of divine intervention to pull off a simply sublime song like this.
Awesome song. Grew up with Gerry rafferty
