The ram compatibility support from kingston and crucial has conflicting data on my laptop model, kingston said that my laptop has a maximum ram capacity of 8gb only while on crucial says that i have 16gb max ram capacity. Don't want to mess things up because this will be my first time upgrading a laptop on my own.

@@Josh-ss9fq to be sure you can buy an exactly same model of the same 4gb ram so it will 4+4gb if you want 4+8GB you really have to test it. You may bring it to the dealer and ask if you can return and exchange if it will bot work. Or ask if they do trade-in of ram. Some shops does that.

Hi James sorry, If you will reinstall a fresh copy of windows you need to reconfigure the fingerprint. But if you cloned your hard drive. It should work well like the original hard drive 🤠

According to the website 16gb nga . I think thats enough for i3 since hindi lang naman ram ang nag dedertmine ng speed. It can help pero and load tlaga ng computer speed ay sa processor and GPU if playing games and others. But for I3 i dont think you need more than 16gb Ram. Better switch to SSD or upgrade your processor/laptop
Asus X407 is not really up for gaming it improved a little bit. If you want your gaming to improve more, try upgrading your hard drive to ssd card. Will upload the upgrade soon. Ill tag you.

why replace ram not just add one? you have extra slot for it.
Im overseas can find the same one that is already installed. But you can do that of its available.

How to make ssd as primary drive for boot and hdd for just storage
Install windows on the ssd, clear the hdd, and that’s it. Maybe there’s a better way, but I did this and it worked just fine.

M.2 ssd ussually comes with a screw.
If it doesn't try to look for 2.0x3mm size screw.
Or ask the seller if they have spare.

According to Asus website it supports until 16gb most probably 2 8gb ram. But some said they did more than 16gb and it worked.

SODIMM for laptops yan. Para di ka magkamali sabihin mo din sa seller na for asus x407 and dont forget to ask for warranty.
