You didn't do too badly with the French braids. You just need to hold the hair closer to the root as you braid. The more you do it, the better you get. It's such a cute hairdo on you. 😍

I am still practicing braiding but I still struggle how to braid my hair in the back of my head, I always wanted to do a French braid and make it into a bun. Basically a braided bun. I'm still getting the hang of braiding. I can do two braids and I like doing this when I'm about to exercise, plus it helps with the cold weather outside.
Oh yeah I didn't think of 4c hair that way, it's so light it floats towards the sun, defying gravity, something along the lines of what you said - the strands are just so coiled and a lot on the head that yeah, we get what we usually have
