Your bottle is an automatic bottle machine example. This machine was patented in 1903 by Michael Owens. It likely took some time to come into universal use, but eventually it overtook commercial bottle manufacturing in the United States. It is generally believed that older bottles are more valuable, and that is often true. Sometimes later bottles such as yours can be harder to find because diminished demand caused less to be made as time went on
Interesting! On a side note. It may help on dating items/ bottles. The "H" in Pittsburgh started in the mid 1700s. Then dropped in 1891 and put back on in 1911. (roughly) When Pittsburgh was named, the spelling with or without an "H" was spelling errors. This only applies to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's worth looking into. It gets a little confusing?
