At least you didn’t have a client come to look at a knife and them show you the handle is crooked. Very usable knife and good looking. Thanks for sharing
I appreciate you sharing your mistakes, ones I'm sure all of us weekend knife makers make, or will at some point. I too am intimidated by forging hidden tangs, and have found that a guillotine tool makes it a lot easier, and cuts down on grinding. Like you said, it'd definitely a serviceable knife, and you probably will remember to finish the blade before putting on the handle next time🤪
I'm glad I got recommend this video. As a fellow, small-time knife maker, I know the feeling of what happened to you. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing more.
@@deeprootsforge thanks a lot I’m glad somebody recommended it too. It means a lot since I’m trying to build this channel up and get more projects posted
It turned out all that matters. Nice work 👍🏼 I like to put Vaseline on tang and epoxy everything up save the paper you mixed the epoxy when it’s not tacky anymore I pull blade out. Finish the handle for the most part and blade. Then glue up and have a little clean up after. Hope that helps.

Nice work brother! Hidden tangs are tough… it just doesn’t feel natural making one…. Keep it up though! The more you do the better you’ll get!
Muy lindo..
Por ahí una guarda de metal para que tenga un frente solido.
Pero muy buen trabajo!!
It came out ok. I bet no one would turn it down. Now it needs a sheath.
