Dear friend, ELO not only is famous in US, UK Sweden ,Germany or Canadá,Australia, here in My country Chile, in South America, is the same. Songs of theirs like Telephone Line, living Thing, Mr Blue Sky, Last Train to London, Evil Woman, Tightrope,Confution, Midnight Blue, strange Magic, All Over The World, Iam Alive, and others, are recognized here.
Congratulations for You reaction. Greeting from Santiago Chile.
One great song of theirs often overlooked is "Shine a Little Love." It sounds like a musical rollercoaster.
ELO "Turn To Stone"...Nuff Said.
STAN, My favorite Reactor: All of ELO's songs are genius. My memories of a lot of these songs go back to WLS, Chicago AM, which even in Minnesota, would kick- butt for almost perfect nite-time reception. "Telephone Line", and "Turn to Stone" are among my favorites. THANK YOU!
James, I remember lying in bed late at night with my clock radio on listening to WLS. This was the mid 70's and I lived south of Lakeville out in the boonies. It was so cool to be able to listen to a great Chicago rock station when most of the time I could barely get Twin Cities stations.
@@unrulyjulie4382 You're right about the radio reception from the Twin Cities. Remember WDGY AM? My reception was at best, middling, here up north. WLS, on the other hand, even on my car radio, was stellar. And my favorite D.J. from WLS, was Steve King; who I think I found much later on WGN, a "talk radio" show. THANK YOU for your comment; I enjoyed hearing from you!
What a happy song from my favorite band ever. The Electric Light Orchestra!! I have to buy a T-shirt!!
Love this group. ELO had their biggest hits in the 70's-80's & mixed modern rock pop songs with classical overtones. Jeff Lynne wrote most of their songs. You've done a few of their songs already. Other hits are "Roll Over Beethoven", "Showdown", "Can't Get It Out Of My Head", "Strange Magic", "Livin' Thing", "Do Ya", "Rockaria!", "Turn To Stone", "Wild West Hero", "Don't Bring Me Down", "Shine A Little Love", "Confusion", "Hold On Tight", "Twilight", "The Way Life's Meant To Be", "Here Is The News", "Ticket To The Moon" etc.
I am so glad you are enjoying the music and enjoying the channel
You must do '' All over the World '' its so uplifting ❤❤❤
Ok I will and that to the list and thank you for watching
I agree it is a great song.
That is my favorite ELO song bro. Great reaction!
Great to see your enthusiastic reaction to ELO, Stan! I've been listening to them for decades. (Now I'm feelin' old.) You shouldn't miss their deep album cuts like Shangri-La, Waterfall, Eldorado plus Eldorado Finale to name a few.
Cheers from Germany
Just one of the best bands ever - due to the brilliant Jeff Lynne!! He started ELO from the 70's until now. Just such a superb singer/guitarist/songwriter/etc. etc.!! He really is incredible, having his own band, orchestra, just phenomenal!!!
They have been my favorite band since I was 12 in 74😎Glad you appreciate as well
You are so flippin' adorable! Looks like I'm not sleeping tonight!!! Can't get enough of your reactions! 😊
💜💫✌🏼🎵
So, so many great ELO songs to come. Tightrope should be next, it has it all. The first track from the album, A New World Record it is a brilliant opener to the album. The whole album is filled with classic tracks and ends with the sublime Shangri-la. Enjoy the journey. I'll be back to watch you react.
Jeff Lynn had not put out new music in years, Mr. Blue Sky was booked for the olympics in england, where he's from. He was shocked to find out how much the fans had been missing him.
All the suggestions below plus "Shine a Little Love."
Possibly the greatest album of the 1970s
