The Parrot Swing MiniDrone takes off like a quadcopter and transforms to a X-Wing type airplane with the press of a button.
If you're new to quadcopters and RC planes don't worry. The Parrot Swing is EASY TO FLY! It's not going to let you over bank and stall which would destroy most RC airplanes. When it quadcopter mode, it won't let it fall too fast. It has a sensor that will measure the distance to the ground and will limit the decent so if you reduce the throttle too quickly it'll gently descend at a safe speed until it lands safely. - Розваги

Thanks for the demo Erik. I just bought one of these and it helped me a lot.
I've had a Parrot Swing for a bit over a month, and I love the living tweedle out of it! :-D
It is easy to fly and is very forgiving; I'd recommend the Swing to new pilots of both quads and fixed-wing -- though it doesn't really teach the standard basic operation of traditional fixed-wing aircraft. I really enjoy putting it into aeroplane mode and performing loop-de-loops and barrel rolls with it.
The Parrot Swing is a real kick in the pants in my opinion. :-)

I've used it a lot now - it is past President's day and I LOVE this drone. I also bought 5 extra batteries on-line so I'd more flying time.

how was it?
Only issue I noticed was the wings are pretty easy to put nicks in. Hit quite a few trees though. Lol. Otherwise, it's a great, budget drone.

Unfortunately not everybody flies mode 2 and most manufacturers and reviewers do not pick up on this point. I know that the mode is changeable in the app but the controller appears to be fixed. 😞
can you fly it without the app?
They just took the parrot mambo added some foam wings and moved the sensors to the back and some different programming lol.
but it still looks like an awesome drone!

I know this is a late comment but I own one and it's absolutely amazing❤I love ever second when I'm flying mine,I own the one with the white wings,gets dirty easily if you crash it😂but I've only had 2 accidents in the past 2 and half years since I've had it

Try tweezers. Put them under the blade and on either side of the motor and lift up while holding the motor. Some drones come with a tool that kind of looks like a fork and work the same way.

How does the camera work

We have this drone - however, we're having issues connecting my phone to the drone via bluetooth. Any advice?
Do you have the "FreeFlight Mini" app? Turn on the app first, then the control, finally the swing. When you turn on your control and phone, make sure to do it within 15 seconds of each other because your phone will be searching for a BT signal from the controller.

I bought one, just don’t crash it into water or it won’t charge. I am returning and getting a new one soon.
will the flypad work with parrot spider
I don't think it is, which is lame because it's so much easier controlling the drone with sticks rather than a slippery surface.
how do you know when it is fully charged?
The light on the back of the Parrot Swing will go from red to green.
What's the wings made of?
It's a high density light weight bendable foam like material. Way more durable than Styrofoam. And then you get the plastic support inside the winds and carbon fiber support rods on the outer wings.

How easy is it to control?
In quadcopter mode, very easy. You let go of the controls and it stops in place. Airplane mode is easy as long as there's nothing near by to hit. Unlike most rc planes, you can not stall the Parrot Swing. But then again, it's not really a plane. The main thing you'll have to worry about is hitting an object. Other than that, it's hard to crash the Parrot Swing.

It's nothing special and it's hard to get good photos with a rear facing camera. You can see a screen shot here -

Yeah, this thing does chew through its battery pretty quick. It's a combination of the altitude sensor on the back, gyro and the radio all running at once even when the motors are not spinning.
overpriced 150$ worth 40$ i returned it .
