Yep....my Sunseeker is a 4 seasons with tank heaters and it does handle cold weather. Have been in 18 degrees and it did fine. I run my furnace and crack open cabinets....
Most any of the battery packs that you get for charging your phone work on the heater pads as well. I was cheap when I was riding, used four Walmart shopping bags and packing tape to make a vest. Also when your legs get cold. get a pair of panty hose that works good. If not sufficient, wrap additional plastic bags around your legs under the hose.
Understand blowing out your lines but why put antifreeze in your tanks? They can’t freeze unless they are completely full and there’s no room for expansion. Putting a little down the drain for the p-traps makes sense but the tanks don’t need it.
Hi Eric, I'm so happy that your registration came. Time to ease on down the road! I'll be rolling right behind you in my mind! Have a safe trip. See ya soon. Hugs for you and the kitties, Louise
I used to ride year around in Illinois . Coldest ride I did was when I threw my leathers and helmet on and rode to work at -23 f . Kept my bike in a heated garage . It wasn't bad until I got half way to work . LOL The ride back home ( parked it inside the shop to stay warm so it would start back up ) Was slightly better .
@Nomadic Fanatic, one cold weather tip that can save your bacon, hot water bottles. Much less fuel but heat right where you need it. I like to use Gatorade bottles but they can't handle boiling water so I fill up the bottle, pour 2/3 into a pot to boil and once it's ready pour the rest of the water in to cool it down then fill the bottle.
1,500 watts of electricity. That would drain my entire battery bank in 3 hours... Be fine in the daytime when I have unlimited solar, but not at night. (And I only need heat at night around here)
NF, I have a $40 electric blanket for when my landlord is stingy with the heat. I put it under a wool blanket and even at its lowest setting I sometimes get too hot. I just toss off the top half of wool blanket in that case. Will keep you warm even if catalytic heater under performs. Can't hurt to have it for emergencies. Uses little electrical power, especially at low setting.
Yay!! On the registration!! Great you and the guys are having fun riding the bikes together. Nice heated jackets. Kinda nice to have the big heater. Like to be able to see the flame. 🙂👍
I rode my motorcycle for years in New England all winter long never needed any of that shit and I did just fine lowest I ever rode 5 degrees! That's when bikers were bikers.
I've got a heated jacket liner for the motorcycle. It plugs into the bike so no worrying about batteries. It will just about cook you. I also added heated grips. On high they get so hot you almost can't hold onto them.
@user-hg7mr7cs4v Right? All processed food is pretty much bad for you and if you read labels- all Campbell's soups and Pepperidge Farms breads, cookies, etc have Biologically Engineered ingredients (gmo)... Frankenfood. Don't get started on food microwaved in plastic...
Nice to see you're getting ready to roll on down the road Eric I don't know if I missed a video or two or three because I'm a little older than most watching but did something bad happen to your puppy if so you don't have to answer me but maybe somebody can comments will but I love your videos and love your kitties bye for now
Eric, you ought to look into some skirting to put around the RV to use when you are in base camp in cold weather. I really helps to keep the cold air from blowing under the RV.
cats that are well taken care of, fed, and domesticated will often just play with the mouse, you need somewhat feral outdoor only cats to clear the area of mice.
Typical of high desert, hot summers, cold winters with large spread of degrees between hi and low. No wells in that area, too much bedrock. Watertable depth is really far down, if available at all. A person could sink 70k, go down 500 or more feet and never hit water. My son knows someone that put in 80k, 800 ft- no water. Cheaper to have it trucked in.
Hello Eric and family, I am sure you already know you can add a USB port wired into your bike and have endless heat. Stay Safe, have fun, Semper Fidelis
So I haven’t watch the video all the way yet, but if you are heading to Florida, I would recommend a really great place as we are. We’re campers at it it is a beautiful little resort on the Suwanee River near old town Florida nice and ground pool, hot tub boat rentals right on the Suwanee River. We have probably close to 10 to 15 sites would highly recommend and it be great to meet you
Eric, just wondering why you don't use your RV's furnace, it has an outside vent and doesn't introduce moisture into the RV. Anyway good to get out of the winter temps, I'm about a week or so away. Keep the good stuff coming.
RV stock furnaces use a ridiculous amount of DC power overnight. It's fine if you're plugged in at an RV park but that heater drains most peoples battery while boondocking. I removed my onboard furnace after it started making a terrible sound.
A travelling man, is what I am, Born I was to roam, I come along, but then I’m gone, Freedom is my home. Settling down is not for me, I wander all around, I live a life of what will be, adventures to be found, Places to go and people to see, in many a different town, Living life so wild and free, without a worried frown.
Bummer on the Wave not keeping you warm, but it is only rated at 3000 BTUs. My Class B has a Truma rated for 7500 BTUs of heat on low, 14300 BTUs on high. When the temps are in the teens overnight, it seems that much cold could can be felt in one's bones. Every little draft seems 100x worse at 14°F.
I thought 16 degrees wasn't too bad, but i forget you guys use the F measurement not the C one. When it gets down to 16 degres C I'm not happy, if it got down to 16 degres F, I'd be out of there quicker than you could bat an eye lid. Quick Eric, go find some place warm.
“What happened to Fall?” “We Louisianians stole Fall from yhe rest of the country, After the heat and humidity of this past Summer, we couldn’t help ourselves, Sorry.”
Got a great idea for you Eric. Trade-in noisy rugged riding Harley or a smooth riding heated Honda switch. Get the one that’s also got an automatic. Also, they do make a year round super C RV. On the flagpole get one that’s more permanent in the ground and you won’t have the problems with the things breaking on you.

Love seeing you happy!! Excited to see your videos from Quartsite with the "gang". Take Care!!
Interesting video. I like your new heater. Glad you finally got your registration. Hugs to the kitties. 🐱🐱♥️
The heated vest is a good idea especially sitting at a campfire when your back gets cold.
Hey Eric What's going on man love the new jacket I think I'll look into getting it my self
Run, Flee cold temps!
That Heated Vest, looks very very very Cool 😎 Eric😎😊👍

you might be a Nomad and I can't figure out how you do it but, your lady friends are Top Notch!
All you need is an electric space heater. One of them keeps my 25 foot class c toasty.

@@nomadicfanatic I run mine at 50%- 750 watts. I thought you might have enough battery for that between your rig and the babe the blue box batteries.
Looks like the same heater Ausia has
Kind of hoping a visit to Fort Wilderness happens again this holiday season. Always enjoy seeing the lighted Christmas decorations at the campsites.
No, I won't be heading to the southeast this year.
This is no good. That trip had become a holiday tradition. No seriously you do you just always look forward to FL in the winter with you!
Awesome that Kevin are you are both in the video
It’s cute when Cats play with their food
23 degrees my goodness 😮. Yeng and Yang nice kitties.

Brother I don’t blame you for “finding her” 😂.
Looking at her channel… ffs she looks like a fun keeper.
Help me understand why you are winterizing. Not going to use the RV water anymore? Is it just for the next few days you’ll be in Show Low.
Does Diana have her own channel?
@ERIC I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU THAT YOU RECEIVED YOUR REGISTRATION. ALSO SAFE TRAVELS WITH THE KITTIES, ALSO YOURSELF. ❤️😼❤️😼
That's so cool 😎 ❤
No wonder you want to hang out with blossoms road life. God dang bro…

Yeah, I have a few. They ALL have auto shutoff after 8 hours or so. You have to keep turning them on (for safety they say)
Yay!! On the registration!! Great you and the guys are having fun riding the bikes together. Nice heated jackets. Kinda nice to have the big heater. Like to be able to see the flame. 🙂👍

Kevin's bike is cool, but I'm a Honda fan. Take care as you're leaving town!
I would imagine there will be health consequences from "heated" clothing. That just can't be good!
I agree
Pretty much everything in your pantry and fridge is probably more dangerous. But hey pick your battles

Its desert tundra very hot, very cold rapid fluctuations.are you able to drill a well?
He’s in high elevation. It doesn’t get very hot there. It might seem hot to him, but it’s nothing like the desert floor.
