Great job to not only the engineers but the men and women who are doing the hands-on construction to that site.

The Atlanta International Airport is by far the most exciting place in Atlanta. I really feel the international buzz and the energy of the city when I am there. It's my favorite airport.

I still remember going to this airport back in 2019-2020. We rode the train thru to the terminals and rode the escalator floor. Glad they are re-constructing for improvement

Amazing engineering job. But I think that’s a lot of work just to add 2000 more daily capacity to the trains.

Great work going on down there, I've seen it myself. Being an airline employee at Hartsfield, I've had the opportunity to go "down under" and check out the new renovations. I still think the 10,000 to 12,000 people per hour in 2024 is grossly underestimated. Cool stuff though.

@@thezone5840 Short answer, money! City, state, or government projects never wrap on schedule because why should they, contractors would only short themselves if they were to stay on schedule. Same for DOT projects on the hwy. Ever notice how they take seemingly 3 times as long to complete even simple projects. lol My brother actually works for the hwy department so I kinda stole some of this info from him.

Delta has lobbyists in the Georgia State Capitol that wouldn’t allow it because it would bring competition into the Atlanta market. But either way, even with the massive amount of passengers, the current airport is efficient in handling it.
