You speak with the truth. Miyazaki himself considers these games to be mainly single player with tertiary online functionality; almost a mere novelty. He's even willing to omit multiplayer entirely (Sekiro).
I disagree. The main problem of Soulsbornes' PvP is the P2P connection between players, but this doesn't mean the PvP mechanics are bad (specially, the DS3 PvP mechanics). The backstabs, parry, weapons/armours/rings swaps, poise, and more stuff make the PvP of soulsbornes fun at some point. Of course, there are things to improve or change, but you can also enjoy the PvP side of these games.
@@Uggo99 That is not the best way to judge a mechanic; by the possible fun factor from engaging it. Anything can be "fun" while being mechanically unsuitable. DS mechanically was never built for PvP by the admission of the literal director of the games.
Naw yu wild DS3 invasions I think are better then Elden ring though but the fact I can literally make w.e I think of (besides anything with guns unless bloodborne) I think it’s one of the best mechanic may need a little tweak but I love But Who Knows maybe yure opinions goes of the fact yu probably suck lol
This is really a false dichotomy. Fighting games are 1v1’s on even ground where execution and button-skill are primary factors as well as strategy and game-knowledge. Soulslike-invasions are intentionally uneven and frequently hugely stacked in one sides favor and that’s the entire appeal, it’s the same philosophy that underpins the single player design of fighting upwards against impossible odds applied to multiplayer. Focusing solely on active-depth and input-variety totally discounts build crafting and level-knowledge that can give a player a huge advantage as well. Really if you want a pvp-rpg soulslike invasions are really the only thing in this space, what’s your alternatives? WoW? Mordhau?
I don't get it. What the revelation?
i need to do this sometime lol, would be refreshing to destroy some noobs once in a while 😋 nice comp bro, well played

Going to get hate and downvotes for this, but soulsborne pvp is mechanically dogshit and poorly designed, play a fighting game insstead.

Invasions are annoying and cringe. I have 9 characters I played purley offline.
While watching an invasion video ur the kinda host that runs like a coward
@LoganLadd there's nothing more satisfying than getting invaded, making eye contact, then going through a fog wall.
I disagree. I find invasions to be fun so long there is no cheating involved of course.
You just sound scared....
Yeah, just doing a casual walkthrough and some dude is allowed to interrupt my game only because I killed a boss…
