I saw it last year in Sligo Ireland in early hours of morning, I spent next few days reading newspapers and found a Japanese observor had registered and named it, so I know it was same one, it was visible in the night sky close to or after midnight, I remember recording time at the time, but now don't know where I wrote it down, I was in a walled garden a few miles outside a small town where light pollution is not so bad.....

Hi 👋, Kelly, thank you for your info, I had heard about this a week or so ago, I live in the part of rural France in the Correze as it is dark here at night time, will I be able to see it?, Phil from the moulin France.

It's certainly worth a try! But you'll want to use binoculars. As of this morning, the observed magnitude is 5.3. It's getting closer and closer to the sun, though, so the sooner you look, the better!

It was green and has turned a reddish colour after slinging around the sun. Did it crash into the star Galle (wormwood) ?? If so will we get the debris shower in a few months

Hi! Thanks for watching. The comet is in the evening sky now, and some experienced observers are spotting it w binoculars, low in the west, shortly after sunset. But it’s not easy to see. We just added some new charts to our comet post at Earthsky. Good luck! earthsky.org/tonight/new-comet-c-2023-p1-nishimura-bright-august-september-october-2023/

It will technically be in the evening sky from about Sept 11-19, but so close to the sun that it will probably be too hard to see. Hi Person! It was Wisconsin not Michigan. And it’s a sky chart for a future date, like many you can find online or in phone apps nowadays. That one was from In-theSky.org as I recall. Great resource!

My two friends and I seen a comet tonight (September 3rd, 2023) I was wondering what comet is seen passing by earth on this day and the only answer is that it was comet Nushiruma (I believe is how it's spelt) this was the first time I've ever seen anything like that before but I wanted to share I wish I made a video of it but I was so mesmerised by how beautiful and amazing it looked I forgot to grab my phone and take a video. If anyone has a video of it from this night please share much appreciation thank you.
