Thank you for September video. About Comet Nishimura, that wasn't mentioned. I read your reply to another person's comment about this and Thank you for explaining that not everyone will be fortunate enough to see Nishimura, which is kind of sad. But you did mention Comet 103P/Hartley. We have an east backdoor and west front door both facing these two Comets. So, I am going to try for Hartley because I know it would easiest to spot. But, I believe in October I might be fortunate enough to finally spot Nishimura. Thanks for your easy to follow videos.
I appreciate you saying that! Nishimura is an incredible target but I try to avoid targets that are that close to the sun. Let me know how Hartley works out for you.
@@LateNightAstronomy thank you for answering and I will let you know. We're going to have clear skies tonight and this weekend. So I'm hopeful. I will be using my Popular Science by Celestron Starsense Explorer DX 100AZ and Samsung Galaxy AO3S and an App called ProCam X Lite because the regular camera app is limited in options. Clear Skies!
Great informative video! I recently purchased an 8” dob and am super excited to explore our night sky. Your videos are a great help. So far I’ve observed the ring nebula and the Andromeda galaxy, I was blown away! I can’t wait to get a view of the planets :)
You are hitting some great targets for this time of year! Keep enjoying the Night Sky!
Thank you. Saturn and Jupiter are my favorites. Had a lot of high haze through August but got plenty of naked eye looks at Saturn.
Yes, same here. I hope to get back out more in late September into the Fall!
Thanks a lot
Most welcome
I am seeing Saturn clearly from my country Guyana I took pictures
Keep enjoying those views! It's a great target for the next few months!
I'm headed to the Okie-Tex Star Party one week from today! It's a Bortle 1 site and I'll be there for eight days. Thanks for the guide!
My goodness, I net those were some great views. How was your experience and what were you able to observe!
Nice.
Thank you!
Did anyone else see a comet Sept 01, 2023? 1 I live in the Caribbean and I was waiting to see the moon again. I was on my farm, the sky was clear but since it was approaching 8pm EST and no moon, I decided to go home. Then I saw it, my back was turned to the east and I saw this bright ball of fire with a long tail, moving quickly. Maybe 6 to 10 seconds, I shouted to my friends to look but they didn't in time. It just kinda disappeared in slow motion. I have been thinking about it since and scouring the internet for other reported sightings. No luck to date.
Sept 4 South Florida a little after midnight a very long tail at first thought it was an airplane then the horizontal line became prominent and it was amazing by the time family went outside it was already out of sight. Tried to take a picture but only got a fuzzy far away photo from the amazing sighting. Whether it was a comet meteor asteroid or shooting star it was moving horizontal rather than falling 😂☄️🌠
i saw something interesting but it didn’t quite look like a comet?? i was very confused as to what i was seeing honestly
That would have been a meterior.
Comets do not move that fast.
@@DeborahMajenexactly. It was moving horizontally. If I didn't see it, I would have still been doubting myself. 😂
@@timriggs8651it looked so close, it was amazing.i have been looking for it to appear again since.
Awesome. I saw Saturn day before opposition but seeing was poor. It still only just clears the tree line here but getting higher. Last year I caught it just once a few degrees lower through a gap in the trees, at the end of an observing session.
It will continue to be a great sight for the next few months! Enjoy it!
Doing astrophotography in India is very expensive. 😢
Even after having almost 92k+ subscribers on my astrophotgraphy UA-cam channel, I am not able to upload videos properly....😮😮
Love From India (UP West) 🇮🇳
Congratulations on your Channel and clear skies!
@@LateNightAstronomy Thanks..♥️🇮🇳
What happens with Nishimura?
I decided to keep that off of this months video because of how low to the horizon it is as the sun rises! Still a great story with how it was just discovered a few weeks ago.
Good info. Since you’re into astronomy just letting you know the cluster is pronounced “Tolomy”, with a silent P at the start. 2nd century Roman fellow.
Thank you for letting me know that! I hope you are enjoying the night sky this month!
M6 and M7 are very low now. Best time for those objects is June July.
I was out observing them a couple weeks ago with binoculars. Must be a geopgraphic thing from where I live but I normally observe them in August/early September.
@@LateNightAstronomy Yes, you can observe them now, but not for astrophotography.
All i see is Wilton Smoke
I just saw a very bright star from east.what was that? morning 4:00hrs gmt +5:00
Probably Jupiter!
What about Comet Nishimura?
Yeah how can that one be left out!
Great question. I decided to leave it off of the video because of how close it is to the horizon when the sun rises. It is a great story but a very difficult if near impossible target for alot of people.

Thank you for explaining. I've tried to see this comet without success. I will try for Comet 103P/Hartley this week and try to photograph it.
