After thinking of starting my own business in valeting I found your channel and you have learned me basically everything I couldn’t do after watching your videos everyday thanks so much
Fun fact having come from the company... ive trialled many products here in a budget, ive noticed the autoglym and halfords advanved stuff are actually on par with eachother and share the same production numbers on the bigger bottles. Nice to see someone getting it out there tho 😊
Great honest review video Dave. Don't think I'll be rushing out to purchase that Halfords kit. However, for someone starting out and on a tight budget, the kit certainly has its place.
Like the fact that you cover cheaper alternatives. I have been influenced by detailer channels and have spent a fortune on different glass cleaners. Latest being the new Bilt Hamber product. However for me, nothing works better than a melamine sponge soaked in warm water with just the tiniest drop of washing up liquid, and dry/buff with the all important microfiber cloth. Thanks for the content.
If you haven’t already, can you try the AA range of cleaning products from Home Bargains, a fraction of the cost of the Halfords range and I would be interested to see the difference 😂 I use it regularly and happy with the results for budget products
Another incredible video dave. Obviously not great products for those super experienced valeters but definitely something to consider when just starting out. Social media nowadays makes you think you need flashy equipment to start out and do a great job which is partly true but for those weekend warriors, you can get decent results without spending loads of money. Thanks for the video dave. Truly inspirational 👏
Thank you. To be honest you could use the best products in the world but if you're rubbish at car cleaning then it won't make a difference. I used to get by with the basics for many years as I had little money. I think you're better off with the Halfords advanced range though
@epicautomotivedetailing No worries. Much agreed. Would love to see you do something similar with basic stuff off amazon as they have a high range of stuff which could be good but not many people leave a review so I never know if it's good enough.
Recently bought this myself to prep my golf for its mot. Honestly it’s not bad for the money! My only disappointment is the wheel cleaner as my golf is 16 years old it doesn’t have enough punch to clean the ingrained fall out but for the money it’s probably not bad on newer/ cleaner wheels for a quick cleaning. Defiantly recommend the kit if your in a really tight budget. The shampoo did a good job of making my lemon look decent, the glass cleaner and interior spray did a good job of removing various grime from the previous owner who used to smoke in the car. The kit imo is only really missing a pack of micro fibres!
More useful information Dave, when I commented a couple of weeks ago and said I’d been given a couple of bottles of Halfords stuff it was the advices bottles, I’ve tried both since the comment and I’m pretty impressed if I’m honest wheel cleaner and interior detailed both work well
Like the vids on the basic consumer product reviews dude. Looking forward to the TW multi purpose interior cleaner review. Being a turtle wax fan, hoping it stands up to expectations.
Another great video Dave. The only product I have out of these is the wheel brush and I have to say i think it does a great job when it comes to shifting dirt. I also agree with taking care not to get sprayed with product when using the brush as it can happen very easily. Other than that, keep up the good work mate lol 😁
Enjoy your product review videos like this one Dave. I have the reactive wheel cleaner which I haven't used much but will probably now use it on my sister's car this weekend as it's not that strong so shouldn't do any damage 👍🏻
Thanks Dave I just got my delivery of soft 99 fusso coat can't wait to get a day off to apply it to the motor along with the glaco windscreen water repellant
Well done good to see someone talking about stuff that a lot of people would be buying if not that into the detailing, but just like washing there car on a weekend,
Hey man I think you should try Tershines products. It’s a Swedish brand but they are getting a bit bigger in other countries outside of Sweden now. They are my personal favourite brand and I really recommend them
Great info! I think you should try the EZ Care Car - Weekend Warrior Kit because everywhere I see on the fb pages it's a love hate with everyone so would be interesting to see a non bias opinion
Good video well explained and demo'd. On a budget, and limited to Halfords, I'd be tempted by the carplan super no1 kit at £18 with turtle wax redline wheel cleaner. Great wheel cleaner, I used to use when it came out, but the triggers always leaked after a few uses. Either that or all turle wax green bottle line. I also tend not to use glass sealant (on my windscreen), as I havn't found one that doesn't give wiper judder, streak (generally be hard to apply or hard to buff off), or ghost like mad when the wipers are on. I'm testing soft 99 Glaco DX on the z4, but I've not been out in any heavy rain yet.
Yes it's on my list now it means I gotta go back to Halfords and buy some more products so I'll do it in a few weeks once I got a few quid to spend on a video
I know you'll receive requests all the time but reviewing the Halfords Advanced range would be interesting, they seem to get great reviews - snow foam, shampoo, tar remove, citrus pre wash and reactive wheel cleaner cheers!
@@epicautomotivedetailing For one, I can say Car-S "vannepesu" ( "wheelwash", translated directly) is a good product. 1 liter 8,90€. If I remember correctly it was even cheaper, but maybe the popularity took the price higher
How do you dry the interior after the shampoo the seats and how long it takes? Also, is there any other alternative than to shampoo the seats to be the same outcome?
Genuine q. That bucket costs £2. I have 2. They hold water and a grit guard and...... and you can stack them inside each other to save space. So they're better! The builders bucket is a superior, cheaper option than a detailing specific bucket. Change my mind.
My truck has water marks on it from being washed and left to dry in the sun. The glass, and the bodywork has stubborn water marks l can’t get rid of. Can you recommend a good product to get rid of the watermarks without damaging the paintwork please
Hi Nigel I have done many times in the past but as I make more videos the old ones tend to get swallowed up sadly. I'm planning on doing a new updated version as products constantly evolve with the times so I'll try and do a global based video as some products we get in UK may be unavailable in other parts of the world
Do you have any videos where you talk about the best value chemicals, so not cheap worthless stuff. But rather different chemicals that do a great job and are not stupidly priced for a 0.5% better result. I am not too worried about price, as realistically if I want to do this properly I don't want to handicap myself with useless chemicals. Also a good, wet and dry vacuum which can be turned into a carpet extractor for £400. And a good pressure washer.
Very good question. That's kind of what I'm planning on doing with the channel as it evolves so I've just bought hundreds of pounds worth of products and will be rolling it out over next few weeks/ months
Wow, looks like those products are more concentrated then Autofinesse crap. Which is only targeted at tracky bottom bicep only gym dwellers who have the brand tattooed on their own skin.
@@epicautomotivedetailingnever had an issue with the products from there but I booked and paid for a major service on a used car the Mrs just bought (she insisted on taking it to someone well known instead of a independent garage ...note lesson soon to be learnt ). Within 30 minutes of driving home after major service MIL light on dash. Car had been majorly overfilled with oil. Noticed air filter had not been changed (there was a cable tie holding the resonator on the airbix which would have absolutely needed to be cut off to access air filter. Checked and air filter had not been changed . I went through the list of checks for a major service as something didn't add up . Cabin filters not changed. Air filter not changed. Oil filter not changed . Car given " clean bill of health " on summary but serpentine belt cracked with chunks missing out of it. Etc etc . Most points of service not completed Also free brake check booked at same time and advised front pads 1.5 mm leading to me buying a set of rotors and pagid pads to fit . Cue my surprise when the pads on the car was meaty and nowhere near needing to be replaced ( Halfords quoted me £330 for new pads and rotors - I knew I could do the job for less than £80 ) Raised a complaint and the service manager fully refunded me the £279.00 for the major service and confirmed the member of staff had left so couldn't take any action as they had been doing this for a long time to other customers and not doing the work. They did give us free servicing for the next 20000 miles as "compensation" but I just do them myself instead and the Mrs is suddenly more than happy to let me do so 😅
Your water is hard, need to go clean a car in Swansea, soft water makes a big difference. Think alfords based near birmingham, using soft water there too from wales, so no wonder the instructions are not correct
These are the videos I like. Not shouting at the camera, not over edited, no annoying music layovers. Straight to the point.
Subscribed.
Sorry not all my videos are like this 😅🙏
After thinking of starting my own business in valeting I found your channel and you have learned me basically everything I couldn’t do after watching your videos everyday thanks so much
nice one that's brilliant good luck with the business
These are the sort of products that Gerald, your typical weekly Sunday morning car cleaning neighbour would use!
Yeah I got a few more videos like this comment as I'm on a mission to find the best cheap products in the UK 👌
Gerald with his Rover :D
And then you can shout the obligatory "you can do mine next"

On its way 👌
The halfords advanced stuff is very decent for the price point
Great honest review video Dave. Don't think I'll be rushing out to purchase that Halfords kit. However, for someone starting out and on a tight budget, the kit certainly has its place.
Cheers Karl the kit isn't quite for me but the triggers and bottles are really good quality so always handy backups
I brought the glass cleaner for a trip into Europe. Actually very impressed with it

Another great informative video Dave, Halfords has always been hit and mix with their stuff however I love their socket sets 😂

Halfords ADVANCED socket sets are made under contract by stanley or Apex tools.

Now I know what to get u for Xmas?? Halfords Gift Voucher.

Sadly not lol. I actually used my own money for these 😬

That was an eye opener. It would be interesting to see the difference between the basic and the more expensive set.

@@epicautomotivedetailingThat's awesome, can't wait to watch the vid
There are some bargain "noname" wheelcleaners" also in Finland, which work just as great as 3-4 times the price product.
Nice that's actually not a bad shout getting some European products unheard of in the UK on the channel 👏

The grey range is basically a diluted version of the black range. It’s all made by Tetrosyl in Rochdale.
I was hoping you would test the tar remover, needed a new bottle and considered buying it just the other day
No worries I'm going to go back and get some more products. This was just me testing the waters with their products

You could try a Micro fibre towel to dry down your car after a wash.
Extra work I know but ...
Have you tried g techniq or infinity wax water Spot remover? That normally does the job 👌
Daves video on water marks from last year might help you - ua-cam.com/video/1vrkGHA2IH4/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
Koch chemie FSE will deal with this problem easily
I only go there for turtle wax interior brush and foam
They have some decent brands in their nowadays

Honestly if it's the Evo p80 yes. I've got a master p80 and I'm not over the moon with it

Thank you
Have you used that EZ car cleaning kit? See it advertised everywhere, personally never tried but interested to see how it is
