A trained eye will recognize that the movements of their sharpener cannot produce grooves on the knife edge at the angle shown in the picture. Fight and hang on. You create great content and thanks for it.
As a lot of the comments before me, i recommend getting a lawyer. When the used your Images without your consent, you can sue them for a whole lot of Money. Currently because they caused you possibly image damage. I used to work for a newspaper company in the Netherlands for advertising, and we were always very carefull about using images or so without Consent. Good luck, they have to be hold accountable for there actions
I think you have every right to sue them for false advertising and stealing your content. It's total BS and pure laziness on their part to do that. However, if I heard you say 4% commission fee on $1 million, I think you have the decimal in the wrong place. 400k is 40% of 1 million. I could have misunderstood what you said, but I wanted to clarify. Love the videos, keep up the great work!
Go. OFF. King. This is an awesome (although unfortunate) video. I love that you're standing your ground on people using your content unfairly. All power to you hope it goes well. ❤️
I actually bought one to try, it was terrible. The stones literally ground away on the knife.....made it sharp eventually but I think you would sharpen 1 to 2 medium blades before they were worn away.
OK they have not only wronged you, right. They also misrepresented the product use outcome as one coming from a different stone? Maybe joining heads with the manufacturer of the stone that you photographed would be fruitful? Or other of their direct competitors?
I'm very sorry to see and hear about this. I enjoy your content as it seems abnormally honest and without deception. And let's face it, today's day and age, we need many, many more examples of this kind of human behavior, as it seems to be more and more rare by the day. I hope you find justice.

Hi. Your videos are very helpful. Can you direct me to where I can find a base/holder for those beginner entry level diamond plate stones? I found a stone, found a strop. Cant find a base or holder.
Take them to court & force them to add a disclaimer on all their social media platforms that you are not affiliated with them in any way. You don't want your good name associated with a deceptive company. Suing them for ALL they've earned off of your content isn't a bad idea either. Good luck, brother, rooting for you!

That Wasabi sharpener looks like a rebadged $30 Ali-Express job.-- Jesus, they want $189 for a Ruixin Pro. It's not even the latest release. They're $20-$30 all over Ali Express. I see they're also selling those crap $5 Chinese whetstones you advise people not to buy -- only they want $60 each for one.
If they are a Chinese or other company, it may be difficult to get to them, but I would definitely consult with a lawyer. I am not a lawyer!! Love your channel and your work!❤
Sorry for super irrelevant comment here but I have a question regarding sharpening - I just recently started and had quite a bit of issues getting the (cheap and old) kitchen knives we already had even shaving sharp (I eventually did after a few days but it was not easy to get there). Then I found out that most of them are made out of 18/10 stainless steel, which I initially thought is good as first google result showed it's a "high quality" alloy, but then learned that it's pretty bad for a knife as it's pretty soft (below hrc scale?). Do you have an experience with how easy/difficult it is to sharpen, and what sort of results I may expect from it? Since it's typically not used for this purpose, it's difficult to find such information.
Part of this is why I never got involved in a "Channel", I see the theft of footage all the time on Car Wreck/Karma type videos where I'll see the same footage over -n- over across different channels. I guess you must stand up for what is yours so I do hope you do well in this. Also, let us know in a month or two how it went? I imagine over the time of a bigger channel that you wind up needing a Team of people just to protect your own created content? And I never knew of this when I decided not to make a channel, knowing this early would have made me decide not to have a channel be a quicker process but thanks for sharing this . peace
I remember someone I knew who had a product that was sold by a manufacturer. Not only did the Chinese knock-off the product, they downloaded the manual and included that with their fake product. it was insane.

I hope and pray you succeed in finding a great attorney and in any lawsuit you pursue. I know these deceptions exist and they tick me off immensely. Win!!
They need to be sued. This is intentional fraud and theft. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this friend.
All too common. Sorry this happened to you.
Wow, the fact that the community caught this and let you know; speaks volumes, there are bad people, but there are some good ones too.
And to tell you the god honest truth, I saw their ad, maybe a week after stumbling onto your channel. And then boom, the video drops. I thought you were affiliated with them
Sorry to hear this. Hope you get this straightened out quickly.
So sorry to see this happening to you. I can't say which is a better choice for the money. But I would not trust them to give accurate figures on how many they have sold.
Something to consider.
Go after them hard and never stop. You do all that work and use your expertise ,SHUT THEM DOWN. SO THEY STOP USING YOUR PROPERTY.
The company will go out of existence before you can collect any royalties.
@@DarkGT good
A trained eye will recognize that the movements of their sharpener cannot produce grooves on the knife edge at the angle shown in the picture. Fight and hang on. You create great content and thanks for it.
You know your videos are good when people start stealing it.
Thank you for all that you do. I hope this gets remedied to your satisfaction.
I hope you sue them out of business!! Can’t stand thieves!!
That is bull crap of the highest order. I will never buy from Wasabi knives.
It's one thing to "borrow" pics off the internet...but these guys are lying, thieving frauds. Sue these clowns!
Corporations should get ideas of their own and know their place.
Go. OFF.
100% agree with you. The content used was yours and they should be taken to task for it. You are owed commission on every item they sold.
Enjoy your new knife sharpener company.I’d change the name though.
speaks for the quality of your work. Maybe see it as a form of flattery. There might be something in for you. Use them as reference for your work. Maybe other more onest companies would understand from this what cooperation would benefit them.
Hi. Your videos are very helpful. Can you direct me to where I can find a base/holder for those beginner entry level diamond plate stones? I found a stone, found a strop. Cant find a base or holder.
You should contact the FTC and complain that they are engaging in fraud.
Thanks for going public !
Take them to court & force them to add a disclaimer on all their social media platforms that you are not affiliated with them in any way. You don't want your good name associated with a deceptive company. Suing them for ALL they've earned off of your content isn't a bad idea either. Good luck, brother, rooting for you!
You need to sue and get a big piece of that 100 000 sales you have HUGE leverage and evidence. Wish you all the luck as fellow sharpening enthusiast. And I hope u give us updates too ! ❤
Get a, lawyer asap, reach out to them for settlement or take them to court
Wow! Alex! I’ve seen those advertisements about wasabi and was going to ask you about that!! Go get your money brother!! I don’t have much money, however, I’ll send you a thank to help your case, if that’s okay with you? STRENGTH AND HONOR my friend, hang in there and be well!! 👍🏽💯❤️ from Washington state!!🇺🇸🙏🙏
I would be mad too. Glad they took it down.
Love your channel and your work!❤
I'm glad this video showed up in my feed, I'm definitely getting a kuromaku 1000 now.
Crazy! Glad you got it all sorted
Wish you the best, I hope you get the rightful compensation you deserve.
Part of this is why I never got involved in a "Channel", I see the theft of footage all the time on Car Wreck/Karma type videos
where I'll see the same footage over -n- over across different channels. I guess you must stand up for what is yours so I do
hope you do well in this. Also, let us know in a month or two how it went? I imagine over the time of a bigger channel that
you wind up needing a Team of people just to protect your own created content? And I never knew of this when I decided
not to make a channel, knowing this early would have made me decide not to have a channel be a quicker process but
thanks for sharing this . peace
4:32 this is also potentially misleading because some people never learned to use a honing steel properly. Ahem.
Shame on them and good on you. I would pursue this. The world doesn't need any more con artists and frauds ripping people off.
Best of luck man
This isn't a good look for Wasabi. I hope you get a timely and acceptable resolution.
I remember someone I knew who had a product that was sold by a manufacturer. Not only did the Chinese knock-off the product, they downloaded the manual and included that with their fake product. it was insane.
