its such a sorrow and shame that they cut it out. It felt so emotional and in place. Rather than the nonsensical worship of Hyetta. Though her dialogue did give us one of the most important insight into the Lands Between of all time.
52:40 - now this is just a theory, but many believe that Melina is either related to, or is the Gloam eyed Queen. This is a character mentioned In lore that was an Empyrean, just like Marika, Ranni, Malenia and Miquella. They were the ones who founded the cult of the Godskins, and would ultimately end up being defeated (but not necessarily killed) by Maliketh, the Black Blade. There’s a very well written theory on why Melina is the Gloam Eyed Queen of past, and it also ties in her shut eye, though it’s just a theory.
I have also thought this to be a possibility. But I have started to not see a lot of relations to it anymore. And instead, there seems to be more suggesting that Melina might be another child of Radagon and Marika, like Malenia and Miquella. Vada also suggests this with a few theories. One such suggestion is that there are 3 types of butterflies to be found, Aeonian butterflies representing Malenia, Nascent butterflies representing Miquella, which leaves us with Smoldering Butterflies. Melina has shown to use some kind of fiery attacks when fighting with her against Morgot. Another thing that suggests a relation between Melina and Marika is that Melina moves incredibly similar to the Black Knife Assassins, which are heavily associated with Marika as they might be from the same tribe (the Numen) and perform Marika’s bidding. Another suggestion, a bit more obscure, is that her name starts with M, similar to Malenia and Miquella, but eh, not a particularly strong one. One that I thought might be interesting to consider as well is that she does not open her left eye until the very end, which might suggest some kind of malformation? Similar to how Malenia and Miquella also have malformations (eternal rot and eternally nascent). But we just don’t know enough about her to come to any strong theory. What exactly were other suggestions that showed that Melina might be related to the Gloom-eyed queen besides her one eye being gloomy? And how does this work with the things suggesting that Melina is related to Marika, Malenia and Miquella? Was there anything to be found about the Gloom-eyed Queen being related to Marika? That would be interesting to find out.
@@sinofsloth_2121yes but the Godskins also use flames. Maybe Melina stepped using Black Flames to hide her identity since she never reveals it until the one ending she despised the most when she also didn't get used as kindling so she was actually alive to see it.
@@sinofsloth_2121 something you can interpret as a hint for Melina being the Queen is her comment at the end of the Frenzy ending: "Lord of Frenzied Flame... I will seek you, as far as you may travel... To deliver you what is yours. Destined Death." The black flames were powered by Destined Death, meaning the Queen and the Godskins wielded Destined Death until it was weakened with Maliketh sealing it away and since Melina lives in this ending, the Rune of Death would be freed as would her real power. Also to comment on Melina's covered eye, my theory is that it's something like scars from Maliketh. Look at the design and description of Beast Eye, which seems really familiar: "Claw-marked stone eye received from Gurranq, Beast Clergyman. It is said to tremble when near Deathroot. The murky violet iris writhes as if alive." It was Maliketh who slayed the Queen and does his weapon not basically use magical Death-fire? It looks at least fire-like and Melina says this: "Me, I'm searching for my purpose given to me by my mother inside the Erdtree long ago, for the reason that I yet live, burned and bodyless." Being so closely tied to Destined Death, it would makes sense for the Queen's eye to react to Deathroot, the Runes influence.

I like that the different AC content creators offer a variety of insight according to their experience with the franchise: - Fightin Cowboy, Alanah Pearce and Mrhappy1227 (among others) are the experienced veterans providing the most technical details and making the fair comparissons between AC6 and other title from the series and the studio. - Vaati Vidya and Writing on Games, while not old fans, have played all the games recently so their analysis is focused on the narrative themes of AC6 and providing several tips for those who are used to FromSoftware titles and / or other interactive experiences that involve mechs. - Iron Pinneaple others who have prefered going into AC6 blindly without any previous experience center their content on the controls, what does it feel to pilot a core for the first time and a guide for newcomers so that they do not get overwhelmed by the customization options. All of them have conicided on one thing: AC6 is probably one of the most ambicious AAA mech game of the last 10 years.
You had a chance to fight with Yurra at the very beginning of the game. When you are invaded in between the first dragon fight and Patches' cave, Yurra will help you. It just takes a little for him to arrive. Chat was trying to get you to wait, but you won that fight pretty quickly. If you go back and watch that video, Yurra does start talking to you just as you're winning
I keep missing your streams because I’m UK based. But love seeing people get into these games. And Vaati is very much a part of the journey. I remember beating Dark Souls and at the end knowing I’d missed something and finding this UA-camr with a series called ‘Prepare to Cry’ on Dark Souls characters, which blew my mind. I love how FromSoft allow players to simply play the game and unravel the story at their own tempo and will. It rewards exploration and conversation with the community. Elden Ring especially has so much going on that it’s near impossible to work it all out. I can definitely feel George RR Martin influence, especially with the complex family tree and how Marika is such a political operator, almost like Tywin Lannister. It’s really enjoyable seeing people get to grips with these games and understanding the stories is such a follow up journey.
It sucks that I have to stream at a time zone that means you're unable to join but thrilled you're able to catch up on here! It really is something special how the FromSoft lore all unfolds...or doesn't
I sometimes wonder whether people telling 'facts' about the game in the chat have actually played it, because 99% of stuff they say is completely false. Not just here, but it's a common thing among many reaction channels, where chat says a false statement on the lore or something.
Yea everytime I watch a reaction video or let’s play of elden ring (or any soulsborne game, really) and the chat is visible, it’s always chock full of misinformation. I think the chatters probably haven’t played the game themselves and are just basing their comments off of watching others play. It can be frustrating to watch them tell the content creator such wrong info.
The blessing of despair is my Favorite ending oriented one, glad to see you react to these - the lore in these games is a great reason why I keep coming back
Yes, some medieval armor did in fact have phallic or more 'anatomically representative' codpieces. XD Although it was mostly for show rather than for any technical purpose.
Without Kale's questline, I can only imagine people going for the Frenzy ending just out of curiosity or wanting to be objectively evil just to be evil. There is such an interesting element of human nature that is missing without it in the storyline of that ending, that reaction of "you know what? FUCK IT! Everything goes!" What's left is really bland for how massive the effects are in-world.
Even the warning of Shabriri about sacrificing Melina I can only imagine mostly falling on deaf ears, because really, how much of a connection do we have to Melina? She is even perfectly willing to die and will firmly oppose the Frenzied Flame. So Shabriri (and the narrative of that ending) expects us to care about Melina so much we would go drastically against her own wishes? Seriously, why?
30:41 I personally believe the Vyke you fight in the church is some form of remembrance of him, when he had met the corpse of his maiden. A despair so powerful so strong that he had gorged one of his eyes out. Which you can get after defeating his spirit in the church, which was the Fingerprint grape. Another detail is that when Vyke uses his Frenzied Burst spell, only one line shoots out and thats because he only has one eye.
Thanks for the great reaction, I really enjoy that you try to make sense of what's being discussed in the video. I'd love it if you could react to the rest of Vaati's Elden Ring movie series, they're all fantastic.

yeah talk though the entire vyke fight about armor and clothes epic i know its sexist and al but its such a woman thing to do most men would be drooling from how much theyd be concentrating you on the other hand wonder how these pants would look with this armor cool man
Talks during dialogues, looks away during key moments for too long. 😬
won't let me dislike, youtube is so weird, so fake. What's the point in living in pretend?
Talking over video, looking away, dozens of pauses yikes.
No disrespect but you added almost half an hour of unnecessary talking. Please just pausing so much.
The talking isn't "unnecessary" - I'm actively watching the video and adding my thoughts and opinions so that viewers are getting a new experience vs. the original and my whole reaction instead of just someone passively watching it. If you wanted to watch a shorter video, just watch the original video
dont watch her then lil pup
It is a “reaction” video 😂
You fight him and get his madness spear. Vikes
LMFAO we love a good pun
What's so bad about this ending?
All you did was send Torrent to a farm upstate XD
LMFAOOOO yer foul fer this 😂😭
It’s weird, Max0r made the same joke regarding Loretta’s ghost horse in his second video on Elden Ring. Speaking of which, I recommend it for reaction if you haven’t already. It’s called “An Incorrect Summary of Elden Ring | The King & The Serpent”
Now Java, who exactly is Melina ?
