How are you connecting Christian nationalism with white supremacy? Nationalism isn't a bad term, it just means pride in one's nation, race isn't a factor.

Nationalism is definitely a bad term. Communist are nationalists, Nazism/Fascism are nationalist. Dictatorship are nationalists.

@@sg5725 nationalism is not a "bad" term, unless you're a global empire that wants to control everything and everyone. Then you'd definitely want to say nationalism is bad and work to undermine it anywhere it can take root. But. you're both wrong. Christian nationalism and nationalism are two different words with two different meanings. Nationalism is the organizing principle for all modern societies. Not religion for instance, this is why Muslim Saudi Arabia is a US ally and Jewish Israel is a US ally. This is why the US was on the side of the Muslims, ie against Christian Serbs, in Kosovo but fights against the Islamists in the Middle East. Religion has nothing to do with geopolitics in the modern world. We live in a world of nation states. Russia vs. the US. China vs the US. etc. Christian nationalism is an entirely different thing, and yes it is connected with white supremacy, When someone talks about Christian nationalists they're not talking about Armenians or Filipinos here. It's very much a white thing, almost entirely in the Anglosphere which is protestant. Though there are certainly branches of Catholics aligned with fascism, for instance Opus Dei, but that's not exactly the same thing as "Christian nationalism." I know you're both American so it's hard, but education is important. Less youtube, more reading. Try maybe going to wikipedia and reading the entry for "nationalism" then the entry for "Christian nationalism." It's not that hard.

They think it is racist because historically most nations were racially pure. You go back a couple hundred years and pretty much all nations had just one race. So they conflate the two things. In America, nationalism really has nothing to do with race because America is a melting pot of races and ethnicities.

@@jeffhicks8428 Uhhh… Armenia was indeed a Christian nationalist country… so was Ethiopia from the 4th century AD. Are they white?? So where in the heck are you smuggling in white supremacy from?

@@krisjones4051 Armenian orthodox Christianity is absolutely nothing like the cult like version of Christianity they have in the US. Nobody considers evolution a controversial topic in Armenia for instance. And they certainly don't of themselves as some kind of "chosen people." But you are right in a sense that there is a strong religious national conservatism in Armenia. But that is not the same thing as "Christian nationalism." Just because they are Christians and they are nationalists doesn't make it Christian nationalism. Christian nationalism is it's own word with it's own meaning. Why is it a "white" thing? Because basically 98% of the Christian nationalists are white and consider themselves white.

At 16:07 you talk about Jesus leading the nation and earlier you used quotes from the bible but none of those quotes relate to Jesus leading a physical nation on earth. Remember it was the Israelite's that demanded a King and he told them it wouldnt work out great in the long run and we can see clearly it did not. When we try to enforce Jesus on others through the management of the state we become oppressor's. Voting for or against a law based on our belief's is not the same as mandating our ethos on others and feeling morally justified because we based it on the bible. Jesus specifically said "my kingdom is not of this world" in very plain language in John 18:36. Forcing others to behave in accordance to how we interpret the bible is a long long way from John 18:36.

To be a Christian Nationalist does not mean you do not accept Christians from another nation. All nations are united under God. The bible has many verses on nations both pro and con. To attack a title like Christian Nationalism by someone who calls themselves a "true Christian" is blasphemy. Only God will judge us and no other creature has that right. I am not a globalist nor a tribalist... I am a Nationalist under God; a Christian Nationalist. I take no head from those who want to label a group of believers. I follow Pastor Doug Wilson and his articulate definition of his beliefs.

@@just2genders668 , You don’t need Bible verses to understand, but there are many. A nationalist a person who strongly identifies with their own nation and vigorously supports its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations. A Christian ONLY supports the interests and follow the beliefs and teachings of Jesus our Lord and savior. The teaching of Jesus are at odds with nations as nations are not of God. God doesn’t have borders as he created the world and all its people. Jesus teaches sacrifice for the benefit of others not the self interest of citizens.

@@sg5725Is it possible to be a Christian father/husband and strongly identify with your own family and strongly support its interests, to the exclusion of the interests of other families? Well absolutely. Though I reject the claim that being a nationalist or any type of identitarian is somehow “detrimental” to foreign groups. You need to prove that axiom.
What about supporting your local community and church to the exclusion of others? What about supporting your own city or state to the exclusion of other cities or states? I think the answer is clearly yes and the vast majority of Christians agree.
For some reason though when we arrive at the level of nation it becomes an issue. However, merely having vested interest in making your nation strong and the best it can be, keeping strong borders, crafting laws which conform to the word of God, and prioritizing the welfare of your own people as opposed to people halfway across the globe is not antithetical to Christianity. In fact, the globalist mindset is one of the most tyrannical and antithetical to Christianity because it presupposes that non-Christian nations somehow have something in common with Christian nations. It’s just pluralism and multiculturalism without borders.
