I never thought that I would want a gel blaster before lol. Having the feature to change its power is super useful when playing with friends whose blasters don't shoot as hard which allows everybody to have fun and enjoy gel blasters.
Very nice. Consistant, lots of features, clear thought put into the overall design, AND it has a cool sci-fi rifle shell instead of being either a clone of a real gun or yet another pseudo-AR.
I got the Surge XL Day Night Edition on clearance at Walmart today for $39. It came with the Starfire attachment for use with the glow in the dark gels.

So I couldn't include the footage because there's issues with my digital target (they factory reset somehow), but in 3 sets of 5 on single shot it was stacking shots on top of each other. They can be accurate. I still have the footage somewhere, I may do a short.
@@Eulemunin As was my experience. It was in single fire to be fair, but since I don't think there's a hop up It might have just been because of the high velocity and short distance.

It looks good, and apparently shoots reliably, but as with many gel blasters, the huge hopper spoils it for me. It means you can't sight down the barrel. Not a problem if you're sparying full auto, but for single shot and burst modes, it's a negative.
The performance on this is excellent and the adjustable fps is great...but can they do something about that hideous feeder bottle? Imagine this performance package with the form factor of the SPLATRBALL SRB1200 and its drum magazine. That would be absolute perfection.
I agree, but the performance is way less. Gel balls are far less accurate, travel not even close to as far, and the velocities are a lot lower. That said I love them as an in-between for nerf and airsoft.
@@prismrefractrb4691 unfortunately, they do. I have yet to find any brand of gel ball that is actually biodegradable, the industry just isn’t big enough for people to notice it yet.
I'm not in the market for gel blasting, but that looks like a more satisfying blaster than Nerf's Mythic or whatever, and it's not really that much more expensive.
Did you experience any multi-round shots? I just got one of these and it hardly ever fires one gellet per cycle like it should. I assume my gun is defective at this point since new ammo does the same.
I have to admit when Maritimefoam reviewed them it really turned me onto the idea of Gel Blasters now that you liked the same blaster I am intrigued more haha
