Awesome Maxwell! It was a test to see if people found it useful. So glad to hear it. Tight lines!

Great video man. I went fishing there for my first ever inshore trip this past weekend and had a blast. Caught a bunch of flounder in every spot you suggested! I live in Myrtle and I’ve always surfed In Pawley’s since the late 90’s. flounder gigged a few times out there but never with a rod. I’ve definitely got the itch to go there often now, so hopefully I’ll see you out there sometime! I could always use some advice and pointers!

Great video. Was wondering how deep the water is near the jetty inlet....by the condos.... the line of rocks. I did a little scuba around the turn last time I went there. Looks like there might be some fish there at slack tide. I've dove jetties lots in CA. How deep is it from the rock jetty to the big ocean entrance? Thanks for the info. as I can find very little. I'll be there next week. I'm hoping to get on some fish for sure. I'll be fishing from the surf or at least trying to. Thanks for the report!

Just bought a house in Litchfield. Any spots you recommend for Flounder gigging?

Flounder gigging has been awesome lately. With the dark moon phase you’re really able to sneak up on em!
I’m not sure if you have a boat or not but the best spots if you do not have a boat or just the edges of the marsh. We simply walk the edges with really right flashlights and look for them. You can go at mid tide but the best time is just dead slack low tide in the middle of the night or once it’s dark. No particular spots but that Brian description should open up numerous places where you should get lucky!

If I’m kayak fishing, do you think it’s ever worth going further back in the creeks at Pawleys for some sightfishing or nah?

In a kayak, yes. And also just because it’s fun! I’ve had the most success fishing the creek mouths, but I’ve caught some very large reds way up in the creek as the tide was coming in about mid cycle especially if you can cast just behind an oyster bed as the tide is rolling over it by about 6 to 12 inches. It’s one of my favorite set ups! I love to use a popping cork in that scenario and float it right by the oyster bed with the tide. Lots of success with that. Tight lines!

@@skyiswomb1 I'll second his comment. I've been fishing the creek every year for the past 10 years, and had the most fun exploring and fishing the creeks in a kayak. Just mind the tides! my first time I was stuck for a while......good thing I brought coffee and snacks! Have fun!

@@saltydad7123 Thanks! It definitely is fun to scoot around the creeks with the tides, still workin on my first red tho. Getting stuck is always a bit of a laugh. Almost got stuck putting in cuz of heavy traffic and had to get those thighs muddy 😂

So I'm conflicted with this video. I've been going to Pawleys with my family for the past 10 years (my wife grew up in Murrells inlet) and I've only recently started being relatively successful over the past two years. Now, we have a condo and I'll be able to go more often. Challenge is, I've noticed that it's become more and more crowded to the point of not being enjoyable. I don't like the thought of more people in my fav spots, but then again, I wish this video was out years ago!

@@mackrobertsonfishing6213 LOL. No worries! The guys at Pawleys outdoors have always been awesome! One year early on, they loaned me a bait bucket, last year, I got a in store lesson on how to properly retrieve a topwater bait for sea trout, when and what areas..every year they give me great advice!! Tight lines indeed sir!
