Roger Waters, Forever Young, Newport Folk Festival, July 24, 2015 (HD)

Roger and friends closed the set with a great version of Bob Dylan's Forever Young as the sun came out. Joining Roger are G.E. Smith, My Morning Jacket, Amy Helm, Sara Watkins and the ladies from Lucius.
Note: Forgive the shakiness of my videos from this please. My top priority was enjoying being there, so I had the camera down at my chest and didn't fuss with it. They came out pretty cool anyway.

GE Smith, an amazing lead guitarist, who always plays with great feeling (something a lot of great guitarists seem to overlook). I mean, the man succeeded in the gargantuan task of reviving Bob Dylan as a live performer in 1988, when he joined Dylan's touring band. What resulted was Bob beginning what became known in later years as the Never-Ending Tour, which is still rolling around the world to this day! Respect to you GE, you are an inspiration, an AMAZING lead and slide guitarist, and all around nice guy :) From Davey in Ireland..

Well said. I saw several of the 1988ish shows with Dylan. GE was the centerpiece, and I love Dylan.

Have you ever listned to the version with Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler playng? I think is the best one...even if Bob was not at his best unluckly. But Mark give the piece an amazing sound!

I was there and it wasn't like this live, it was very clear. I think the mic on the camera the OP recorded with distorted and compressed his vocals too much.
