Fab example of small scale production, right tools, clean working space & focused repeated sub assembly. Master class in how one person can be their own manufacturer. Thanks for sharing!

Love this book! ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!

I made a bunch of these last year with reclaimed pallet wood (pine). Since the pallets were all from the same place they were already ripped to a convenient height that also made good spacing on the dovetails.

    - yes (sharp answer)

That's a lot of bins. Currently doing 14* 1/2" diameter half blinds in 12mm baltic birch....had to make a custom comb with a 1-1/8 offset and 3/4" depth to keep my pins from showing on the inside joint. I climb cut the bulk of the joint and its really helped achieve very little, if any, tearout.
After watching your video, I think that rockler jig looks much more user friendly than the PC jig I use.

Great video. The design of the bins was simple but extremely functional.
I'm not sure what I liked most: the incredibly simple but functional jig for installing the bottoms or the jig for cutting the handles. I have to admit I never would have thought of using a band saw to cut the handle template - way faster and certainly just as good as drilling two holes and then jig sawing the opening.
Or perhaps the fact that it looks like you watch Smarter Every Day as well.
Or even perhaps the fact that you can get plywood that looks like it hasn't been used as ballast in a sunken civil war ship. The crap plywood we get here in Canada is either cabinet grade or construction grade. Nigh on impossible to find any good baltic birch stuff worth making shop projects that look good.

    Here's a thought, Mr. Jimmy.
Drop the blade on your table saw all the way below the table top when you are using it as a workbench. Bumping a stationary blade can still cut your skin.

Is it the tool or the man? LOL. I'm dizzy from banging my hand into my forehead. Every time I saw a brilliant jig or way to install things, I kept slapping my forehead - now why the hell didn't I think of that???? Probably because I don't have the experience, the training, the time, but mostly? No diploma. From the School of Hard Knocks! Thank you!!!

I have a version of that dovetail jig & I bought another router (5 now 🙄) so I could leave it set up permanantly for 18mm material which I use for most of by box work...
It saves time as setting up the jig to route nicely-fitting dovetails is a bit time-consuming...
