My mom, son and I met MoNique at a Farmers Market and she is so nice! Like she speaks to you as if she actually see you! My son is 6 and he was so happy to meet her! My Mom is a huge fan! I never seen my Mom fan out over no celebrity but it was wonderful to meet MoNique! Such a genuine and beautiful person.

Sonya Young No, she’s unemployed! She ain’t got shit to do, so now she’s ready to be a mother and a wife? No TV or movie projects, no stand-up comedy dates. Here she is on an off-beat podcast with her unemployed husband ‘dropping knowledge’... That’s NOT strength, it’s DESPERATION to stay relevant, hoping somebody/anybody will notice and offer her a job or a way out of the deep hole she’s dug for herself! And Sidney, with NO job, NO income, state n federal back taxes due, young children at home, reassures her “it’s going to be ok”??

Stephanie Parrott I’m curious too...how long can MoNique go on crying the same sad song before she decides to get on with her life? Every now and again when I come across an interview, I tune in for a few minutes to see if any lessons have been learned. The answer in 10yrs since ‘Precious’, an emphatic NO! She’s standing alone because others in entertainment know she’s full of shit...her cause was never about civil justice, it’s ALWAYS been about more money for Monique, at Sidney’s direction. And he screwed up her career, completely!

We are out here. We are. It takes a secure man and a secure woman to accept that type of light, fire and power. When she found a real king, she not only let her guard down to accept him - he allowed her strength to deepen and heighten at the same time; he wasn't intimidated. That builds love, trust and respect on a solid rock of friendship. They are down for each other no matter what!

So glad to see us studying, loving and thanking each other instead of the negative norm! As an indie author my biggest fan base are prisoners (black males). It amazes me that they cared so much about a book, let alone MY book.

I don’t know the producers stance, but I do know that the elderly are susceptible. It’s not about just protecting yourself, but it is also about protecting the vulnerable.

bmich H why does she think Oprah is lonely? Is it because Oprah’s not in an open marriage? Or still trying to deal with the effects and guilt of abandoning a child who is not 30. Lonely because she has a career that’s not built on whining and crying? Monique is a con artist. And that’s why she isn’t moving forward. Still running in pace on the treadmill

Man our people just didn't see it then but man I cut off my netflix account and everything for Monique... I always believed in what Mo and her husband was telling us. I am glad that our people see it now but like David said Monique's career was on the line and they sacrificed and stood against all odds for not just her career but also for other black women.
