I think intro is played with a flanger and not a phaser
yea it may well be mate, i think he swapped out his flanger for a phaser and stuck with that over the years, don;t think i actually had a flanger back then! :-)

I think in the main riff there are 2 palm muted x x to get the shit out and a hammer on not slides

How the hell are you muting that low D with your right hand in the intro. I just cant figure it out. I have to use my left hand and it sounds crap. Brilliant lesson. Thanks Robert! I’m using my right hand to damp the Low D string for that intro riff, like you’d use for a chug with the karate chop part of your palm. Hope that helps!
