We still remember both Bacha Khan and Dr Khansahab with great respect and affection in India. There is a very popular market in central Delhi called Khan Market in memory of Dr Khansahab. I had the fortune of seeing Bacha Khan personally in Delhi once. There is also a market in the name of Meherchand Khanna in Delhi. ❤

What a bloody wisdom he had? The question is. What was the wrong with selecting both URDU and BANGLA Languages as national languages of East Pakistanis only? Wouldn't they have accepted it? The answer is, of course they would have happily? What resulted from it. We all saw that in 1971.

The British presented him with the framework regarding transitional period of about nine months to exchange the migrants in peaceful manner under their respective supervision. Therefore, he wanted to be ensured of having only his own name registered in the international history books as SOLE Champion of Pakistan. He gave no dam about what would happen to the innocent people on both sides.
Finally, there is a lot more which could be written on this unique personality. But, I have decided not to. (Please note, strangely, although, he was the Head of Muslim League. But, there are evidences that he never ever consulted other prominent members of his party. He was the SOLE CHAMPION. Some of the members of his party like Mr, Liquat Ali Khan sahaib literally ignored, because he was also like himself merely interested in getting hold onto a high office in the government.
What is written in books about two nations theory and he created Pakistan for the Muslims of India is merely one of the propagandas by the writers, because he wasn't even a practising Muslim. He didn't fight against British as many others did during the British rule in india. He was a BROWN COLOUR ENGLISH MAN in his three piece suits. He simply wanted to be known as a Founder of the nation. That's all. Nothing else.
Finally, Please note, as I have pointed out above that it is a very complex question to answer. But, nevertheless, I have written some with full honesty away from politics in the light of facts, which are in black and white. To add a little more to it. The reason Pakistan was created HASTILY and DISORDERLY. There were some sections of Pakistani society primarily in West Pakistan, who were highly educated and had businesses. They were the active forces behind it, because they all had their personal interests in its creation. No matter, what ever the order in which it was created.
The most stunning part is the way he died. Daughter not with him. His sister looking after him. Deserted by the British and muslim league alike after his role in getting their agenda was over. His Father was born a Hindu and this is what happens to ambitious Hindus that don't conform. The whole story of India and Pakistan is a very sad one. Selfish people drove that story to suit individual agendas rather than any common national agenda. Old history is best forgotten. There is nothing there except war after war how invaders and kings ruled us for personal gain/power. There is no example of accountable self rule by the citizens. Unless we self develop an accountable form of government functioning that is answerable to the people ( 1.4B) , there is no hope out of this vicious circle

The guest seems too opinionated to be a historian. He has clear political bias. For instance, if people come out in support of the cause he supports its democracy.
