For the knob, get GE silicone glue (clear or white) in the toothpaste size tube. Just put a small amount inside the knob and push it on. This is a permanent fix. The scratches can be easily buffed out using the MAROON colored 3M scouring pad (auto parts store). Rub entire length, NOT the small area. I've been repairing ranges since 1973.

Perhaps adjusting the inner part of the knob to make it a tighter fit would work as well. I don't know, I don't have this range. Please Tell the class why it's "absolutely stupid". And the guy who's been repairing them for 50 yrs. I've had several gas ranges and I have never had to adjust the burners.

Bought new RA30 from Lowes 3/21, on first use oven temp was set to 400 using convection. When temperature rose somewhere close to 400 fan began hitting metal (assume shroud). Fan probably was set to far forward on the motor shaft, too close to the shroud, and the blade expanded enough in the heat to come in contact, easy fix probably. This occurred on both broil and bake convection setting. Since we were within 30 days, Lowes came and picked it up and fully refunded, very happy about that. After that upon further research we discovered the difference between convection and "true convection", aka European Convection. We were pleased that Zline was a USA product and would have taken a chance on a 2nd one with Lowes, but now we are believing we would prefer the "true convection" feature which zline does not offer. Grateful for the pointing out in the vid of the easily scratched front top and difficult to clean under burner tray.

You can get clear heatproof vinyl made for crickets for the front stainless ledge to protect from scratches. There are great liners for around burners that don’t look bad. Maybe magic eraser used carefully to clean it?
FINALLY! Thank you for actually being honest about porcelain top stoves. They are a complete pain to keep looking spotless. Attainable luxury, porcelain is not. If you like gas, like I do, go all stainless steel tops. ZLINE ONLY OFFERS PORCELAIN TOPS on their gas stoves and range tops. So disappointed. Not luxury as advertised. I learned the hard way.
Not disagreeing with you but isn't porcelain supposed to be the gold standard in surfaces that need to be stain free? How is this completely non-porous surface getting stained? Toilets get pretty well soiled I'm sure you would agree and those are porcelain.

We have had that same weird staining on the porcelain of our gas range. Not the same manufacturer. I recently purchased a steam cleaner that has different attachments. Just using the spray nozzle with a lot of steam was enough to get rid of those spots. It also works wonder on burned bits within the oven with the wire brush tool.

Clean the cook top after each use. I clean my with norwex microfiber cloth everytime I cook and it looks good. I take the grates outside and spray with over clean and all the time turned on grease come off with ease
We purchased ours in March 2020. Two months later and we are still out of a stove. The stove had these weird metal stains all over the door and the top part of the stove. Wish they had better customer service where we could actually talk to someone. Everything is through emails that we received through the store we purchased from. I first sent an email, after several attempts to reach them through phone, to zline. Have yet to receive a response from them. Glad you guys had a better experience.

I had a Frigidaire slide in gas range like this with the black top. I don't think they use porcelain anymore because it seemed to get permanent stains that didn't come up with cleaner. It was never shiny like it was when new.

Hi and thank you! You're correct that the oven doesn't have a self-clean setting, but turning it up to the highest temp for 2 hours does the same thing. It just won't turn itself off and cool down, so it's super important that you remember to do that!
I also bought mine in 12/2019 and was taken in by the high-end look. Please beware the ovens in the dual fuel ranges have a tendency to stop heating properly. This just happened to my ra-36 model after 19 months of working just fine. Now will not heat past 250. There's a great vid here on youtube that shows the lengths someone went to fix a baking element (Nate Mansfield) and I'm in no affiliated w/him. Also beware warranty service is nearly non-existent and parts are so hard to find it's ridiculous. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. Right now I've got a 300 pound paperweight. But it looks pretty.

I had the same issue, along with a couple other issues. Zline has been great on replacing parts with zero cost by just calling them (even though my warranty is up) however you do have to install parts yourself

Nice looking stove I just bought a 48'' not yet delivered .. I have a 48 '' thermador cooktop and it has 4 burners about 1 year ago I poured hot water about 1'' deep on top of the area surrounding the burners 2 of them are controled by a pannel under the so called sealed part of the burners... There is a box underneath the burners that has 14 wires .. This part got wet and immediatly stoped working my cooktop is 22 years old and i called thermador theyt don't make this part and to buy one you have to go on line ebay and they cost 800 dollars. also there is a 2'' x 2'' i call it a chip behind the knob and i burned that out.. There is a place that fixes these things called fix your board. But I just decided to buy a 48'' range I have noticed stoves washers refrigerators just don't last ... that is just my opinion being a contractor I am able to install appliances so I save that expense
I looked at ZLINE but ended up ordering a THOR. We have not received it yet. The reviews for both ZLINE and THOR are all over the map. Great to crap. So, we rolled the dice. I do not care for the SS panel due to the propensity to scratch (as you mentioned) and the difficulty in cleaning the cooktop. Our current KitchenAid is very easy to clean. But its old and has been acting up. Rolling the dice with the THOR.
@lbowsk I will say that the new porcelain top seems to clean up easier/better than the old one, and it hasn't developed the same spots. I don't know if we're just doing a better job of keeping after it or if they started using a better paint. Who knows. Good luck with the Thor!

Hello. I’m new on this forum and really appreciate some info please. We purchased the RA30 Dual Fuel. Our oven works great but the fans are constantly running regardless of the setting. We received a reply from ZLine Customer Service that the RA range model, the cooling fan will be constantly turning regardless of which mode you are on. They said that essentially the RA has two fans; a heating, and a cooling fan, which is why there will be fan noise throughout the cooking process. What I would really like to know is if this is everyone else’s experience with this range? Everything I have read on the instruction manual is that the fans are not supposed to be running on the low bake feature as well as on Broil setting. Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

We picked up an RG36 model at the local Habitat for Humanity Restore, have yet to install it as we are renovating the kitchen. Our center knobs don't turn the shafts for the timer or oven thermostat as they are missing the tiny metal inserts, and only one of the knobs has the large plastic piece inside as it seems like it was a replacement (i have two of the same knobs for the timer 1 with and 1 without the hard plastic piece). I noticed I'm also missing 2 screws on the back of the oven bottom, I can handle some of these repairs myself but I am having difficulty dealing with Zline.

We bought a 30” Zline dual fuel range back in 2019 and soon after the oven wouldn’t heat up. Repair man came and installed a new relay switch (part bought from ZLine) and it worked great for a while. But since then we have had the same problem several times. We figured out where a reset button is located under front left burner. Anyone know why this randomly happens?

I clean my cooktop and it looks brand new. I first use dawn soap for grease cutting then a Mr clean eraser sponge. After that windex! It's a process but it works everytime!
ours is dead at year 3 the oven doesn't work at all. Customer service is awful they gas light you and will not honor anything beyond one year warranty so 3 yrs old and I have a nice paperweight.

It always helps to do a little bit of research when you don't understand something. Please don't glue your knobs! They are designed to come off....maybe not as easy as the far one on the right. We have had our RA30 dual fuel for 3 months and the door window leaked between the panes. We disassembled and tried to clean the windows but the glass was etched with a film. ZLine sent us a replacement door. Let see if it hold up. To help keep the surface clean we purchased a precut black silicone mat on Amazon which is much easier to clean.

Maybe someone else on here can answer better than I can. I don't pay much attention to cooking if it doesn't involve a grill. My guess is that it has different applications for baking. ???

Just got a Zline 36 inch and I tried the burner but the spark ignition always goes to the front left burner. All six knobs cause the spark on the left front. Is there a reset button?

Hi Javo. No, it doesn't have a timer. One of the things that my wife likes about this range is that it's not loaded with a bunch of complicated electronics and tech. She just uses her phone as a timer.

RE: RA60 Zline Range - Hugely Disappointing - Caution, Do Not Buy. The stove did not come with the propane conversion kit, the regulator was damaged and the quality is sub-par. ZLine has been horrible to deal with, they have sent incorrect parts over and over - I have had this stove for 2 months and still cannot use it. Supposedly they are sending the correct part - but I'm no longer holding my breath. I have a useless $8,000.00 stove sitting in my kitchen and I'm cooking on a camp stove. Let my experience be a warning to you - this is not a quality product and ZLine does not offer quality customer care.

Does anyone's Zline 30 gas range blow hot air from the front when the oven is working ? Mine does and you cannot stand in front of it cooking unless you want to burn yourself.
It doesn't have a "self clean" setting, but turning it up to High Bake and the highest temperature will do the same thing. Not sure what you mean about removing the grills on top. If you mean the cast-iron grates on the gas cooktop then yes, those come off for cleaning.

This model is the "dual fuel", so the cook top is gas, and the oven part is electric. The oven still needs 220V. We already had that plug, but we had to have a gas line run to it also. As of Dec. 2022, still working fine. No real changes since I shot this video.
Sorry, worse stove ever. When oven was on, it sounded like a jet engine is warming up to take off. It was so loud, we couldn’t hear each other talk when oven was on. Both oven lights broke and we were told it would take a year to get replacement bulbs. Then the blue light that indicates oven is up to temperature broke. Again we were told part is back ordered. We finally bought a Monogram to replace it. Oh well, lesson learned. We got what we paid for.
Wow...that stinks. It definitely sounds like you got a bad one. I made that video over 3 years ago, so we've had ours for over 4 years, and other than the small issues I mentioned in the video, it's still going strong.

They're not always what they're cracked up to be either, I have a garland, made by bluestar, it's a workhorse when it's working but have had many problems with the oven over the years. There's no quality in anything anymore.

Barkeeper soft cleaner works well on the grates, burners and burner tops. Need to take them off one by one and scrub with a semi-rough sponge and dry.
I use my Norwex cloths with just Hot water and it cleans all of that porcelain and the stainless on my oven perfectly! Try it!

Hi and thank you! You're correct that the oven doesn't have a self-clean setting, but turning it up to the highest temp for 2 hours does the same thing. It just won't turn itself off and cool down, so it's super important that you remember to do that!

I also bought mine in 12/2019 and was taken in by the high-end look. Please beware the ovens in the dual fuel ranges have a tendency to stop heating properly. This just happened to my ra-36 model after 19 months of working just fine. Now will not heat past 250. There's a great vid here on youtube that shows the lengths someone went to fix a baking element (Nate Mansfield) and I'm in no affiliated w/him. Also beware warranty service is nearly non-existent and parts are so hard to find it's ridiculous. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. Right now I've got a 300 pound paperweight. But it looks pretty.

I had the same issue, along with a couple other issues. Zline has been great on replacing parts with zero cost by just calling them (even though my warranty is up) however you do have to install parts yourself

Nice looking stove I just bought a 48'' not yet delivered .. I have a 48 '' thermador cooktop and it has 4 burners about 1 year ago I poured hot water about 1'' deep on top of the area surrounding the burners 2 of them are controled by a pannel under the so called sealed part of the burners... There is a box underneath the burners that has 14 wires .. This part got wet and immediatly stoped working my cooktop is 22 years old and i called thermador theyt don't make this part and to buy one you have to go on line ebay and they cost 800 dollars. also there is a 2'' x 2'' i call it a chip behind the knob and i burned that out.. There is a place that fixes these things called fix your board. But I just decided to buy a 48'' range I have noticed stoves washers refrigerators just don't last ... that is just my opinion being a contractor I am able to install appliances so I save that expense
I looked at ZLINE but ended up ordering a THOR. We have not received it yet. The reviews for both ZLINE and THOR are all over the map. Great to crap. So, we rolled the dice. I do not care for the SS panel due to the propensity to scratch (as you mentioned) and the difficulty in cleaning the cooktop. Our current KitchenAid is very easy to clean. But its old and has been acting up. Rolling the dice with the THOR.
@lbowsk I will say that the new porcelain top seems to clean up easier/better than the old one, and it hasn't developed the same spots. I don't know if we're just doing a better job of keeping after it or if they started using a better paint. Who knows. Good luck with the Thor!

Hello. I’m new on this forum and really appreciate some info please. We purchased the RA30 Dual Fuel. Our oven works great but the fans are constantly running regardless of the setting. We received a reply from ZLine Customer Service that the RA range model, the cooling fan will be constantly turning regardless of which mode you are on. They said that essentially the RA has two fans; a heating, and a cooling fan, which is why there will be fan noise throughout the cooking process. What I would really like to know is if this is everyone else’s experience with this range? Everything I have read on the instruction manual is that the fans are not supposed to be running on the low bake feature as well as on Broil setting. Please let me know. Thank you in advance.
Try using dryer sheets, get them wet, for baked on food removal. Let them sit on over night if need be.

We picked up an RG36 model at the local Habitat for Humanity Restore, have yet to install it as we are renovating the kitchen. Our center knobs don't turn the shafts for the timer or oven thermostat as they are missing the tiny metal inserts, and only one of the knobs has the large plastic piece inside as it seems like it was a replacement (i have two of the same knobs for the timer 1 with and 1 without the hard plastic piece). I noticed I'm also missing 2 screws on the back of the oven bottom, I can handle some of these repairs myself but I am having difficulty dealing with Zline.
I did a little research before buying a zline and I think it will difficult to get parts

We bought a 30” Zline dual fuel range back in 2019 and soon after the oven wouldn’t heat up. Repair man came and installed a new relay switch (part bought from ZLine) and it worked great for a while. But since then we have had the same problem several times. We figured out where a reset button is located under front left burner. Anyone know why this randomly happens?

I clean my cooktop and it looks brand new. I first use dawn soap for grease cutting then a Mr clean eraser sponge. After that windex! It's a process but it works everytime!

ours is dead at year 3 the oven doesn't work at all. Customer service is awful they gas light you and will not honor anything beyond one year warranty so 3 yrs old and I have a nice paperweight.
Does anyone know what looks like when we took off the temperature knob? My temp knob certainly did not work, and I feel there are something missing between the knob and metal
Do the racks come out of the oven? My wife is concerned about the size of the oven, especially around the holidays.
Yes, the racks are removable and/or can be changed to different positions. We've had no problems with large meals.

It always helps to do a little bit of research when you don't understand something. Please don't glue your knobs! They are designed to come off....maybe not as easy as the far one on the right. The knobs come off so you can adjust the flame setting.

We have had our RA30 dual fuel for 3 months and the door window leaked between the panes. We disassembled and tried to clean the windows but the glass was etched with a film. ZLine sent us a replacement door. Let see if it hold up. To help keep the surface clean we purchased a precut black silicone mat on Amazon which is much easier to clean.

What situations would you use the convection bake vs low bake? I understand the differences in heating, but not sure when you would use each function.

We have the same stove with all the problems you mentioned. I was wondering if you can remove the glass on the door to clean between the two piceces as we have streaks runing down on the inside of ours and it looks pretty bad?

Just got a Zline 36 inch and I tried the burner but the spark ignition always goes to the front left burner. All six knobs cause the spark on the left front. Is there a reset button?

Hi Javo. No, it doesn't have a timer. One of the things that my wife likes about this range is that it's not loaded with a bunch of complicated electronics and tech. She just uses her phone as a timer.

RE: RA60 Zline Range - Hugely Disappointing - Caution, Do Not Buy. The stove did not come with the propane conversion kit, the regulator was damaged and the quality is sub-par. ZLine has been horrible to deal with, they have sent incorrect parts over and over - I have had this stove for 2 months and still cannot use it. Supposedly they are sending the correct part - but I'm no longer holding my breath. I have a useless $8,000.00 stove sitting in my kitchen and I'm cooking on a camp stove. Let my experience be a warning to you - this is not a quality product and ZLine does not offer quality customer care.

Does anyone's Zline 30 gas range blow hot air from the front when the oven is working ? Mine does and you cannot stand in front of it cooking unless you want to burn yourself.

It doesn't have a "self clean" setting, but turning it up to High Bake and the highest temperature will do the same thing. Not sure what you mean about removing the grills on top. If you mean the cast-iron grates on the gas cooktop then yes, those come off for cleaning.
They are not selfcleaning Someone told me if you use the self cleaning feature it can screw up the temp settings on the ovens

Is it this range 120v or 220v?
This model is the "dual fuel", so the cook top is gas, and the oven part is electric. The oven still needs 220V. We already had that plug, but we had to have a gas line run to it also. As of Dec. 2022, still working fine. No real changes since I shot this video.

Sorry, worse stove ever. When oven was on, it sounded like a jet engine is warming up to take off. It was so loud, we couldn’t hear each other talk when oven was on. Both oven lights broke and we were told it would take a year to get replacement bulbs. Then the blue light that indicates oven is up to temperature broke. Again we were told part is back ordered. We finally bought a Monogram to replace it. Oh well, lesson learned. We got what we paid for.
Wow...that stinks. It definitely sounds like you got a bad one. I made that video over 3 years ago, so we've had ours for over 4 years, and other than the small issues I mentioned in the video, it's still going strong.
Chine made garbage - you should have purchased a Wolf, Viking or BlueStar.
...and spend 3X as much for a range that does exactly the same thing? No thanks. I understand paying for quality, but this Zline hasn't failed us in any way. Sometimes you're just paying for a name.
Sure, a Wolf is a great range, but most folks can't swing10k+ for a range.
They're not always what they're cracked up to be either, I have a garland, made by bluestar, it's a workhorse when it's working but have had many problems with the oven over the years. There's no quality in anything anymore.
