Difficult to say because it’s IWC who decides your position on the “waiting list”, not the boutique. You can put in a request online or at a boutique and that is being sent to the factory who looks at certain variables like previous IWC purchases (as also mentioned by Christoph Grainger-Herr at Watches and Wonders ‘22)… I had mine in 2,5 months (no. 8 in The Netherlands) but have heard that there are indeed a lot of people waiting for one. Another thing they mentioned while picking up the watch is that they probably won’t even get to the 1000 mark this year due to capacity issues on the case production, 800-850 would be more likely. Personally I’m very happy with it and it’ll stay in the collection for a long time. I’ve seen and heard comments about the pushers and crown not being made of black ceratanium, but in my opinion it’s a better match with the stainless steel clasp.
