    I really like the 'toy' nature of this watch. Would love to see a colored-ceramic Mark XX.

      at $17K with a strap and closed casebook? That's tough sell for a 'toy'.

      @@Bu-22 I should have said $18K. That's crazy making but that's an average price on Chrono.

    Incredible watch. Disappointed it doesn’t have Easy X change though for the price.

    To put this thickness into context, it’s 1mm less than an RM11

    For those who think the Citizen Star Wars line is simply too fun and affordable.

    Man I love this watch, but holy cow that WB markup. Might be the most expensive on the internet. And that’s true for a lot of pieces.

    It’s nice and different. But the most beautiful one is, by far, the Mojave Desert model. Unfortunately it’s quite hard to find and expensive…

    Why does the woodland come with a pin buckle?
    Is it because ceratanium costs more and the pushers? Case back and buckle off set the cost of stainless steel with steel deployant?

    Absurdly big. If IWC did reasonably sized watches they would sell much better

      They offer plenty of sweet watches between 40-42mm. They have plenty Pilots in the 41mm size now that are super cool. I’m waiting for a 41mm Lake Tahoe but it’ll be next to impossible to get I imagine.

    the watch didn't capture the essence of Lake Tahoe.... when people think of Lake Tahoe, they think of Tahoe Blue. I don't think the designer knows Lake Tahoe well. If the watch comes up with a Tahoe Blue dial, i will get one....

      Except it’s inspired by the snow that caps the Sierra mountains around Lake Tahoe. Snow is white isn’t it? So yes, the name is fine. If the simple thing like a name of a watch bothers you, don’t buy it.

      No it's a Val Fleurier design but it's based on the 7750 architecture.

    IWC watch is always too thick

    • @Valera_Scotland
      @Valera_Scotland 2 роки тому +2

      Mark XX is 10.8mm thick
      That's definitely not too thick

    • @bdegrds
      @bdegrds 2 роки тому +3

      No their not, 14mm is normal. Saying a watch is too big is really saying your arm is too small, there's ways to remedy that.

    • @gyang333
      @gyang333 2 роки тому +4

      That's a somewhat accurate generalization, but IWC does have thinner 3-hand automatic watches in the Portofino and Portuguese lines. Even the Portuguese Chronograph is pretty thin for what it is.

    • @davidr2802
      @davidr2802 2 роки тому

      @@bdegrds How do you come up with 14MM is normal? That just excuses lazy engineering on the part of watch brands like IWC. Even if one has a broad wrist, thick watches can still appear as ridiculous hockey pucks. Consider that a 44mm Seadweller with a 1220 m WR rating is even thinner at 15.5mm then this pretty conventional chronograph. Not to play Rolex fanboy but as the average thickness of a Rolex Steel Sports is at or below 12mm that might be one reason it owns 25% of the Swiss luxury watch market while the likes of IWC is at a robust 2.5%.

    • @bdegrds
      @bdegrds 2 роки тому +2

      @@davidr2802 you don't know what your talking about. 14mm is pretty normal, then your defense is to come up with something else that's 1mm less? One measly millimeter? Lol saying 14mm is lazy is beyond rediculous there's nothing I can say to that. Guys with small arms come up with anything they can as to why a watch like too big for them. Bottom line is it's your arm that's the problem not the watch.
