    I think slip bobbers were the best invention ever! Use them always to slay bluegill.
    Not much luck for me on crappie.
    What does work for me is going back to a clip on bobber, because I don't use a weight. I put a crappie minnow on a #8 gold true turn hook and let them drop naturally. Slam! It 's tougher to cast with 6' of line whipping around and only the bobber for weight, but it works.

    Will that slip float rig allow the angler to impart some enticing movement to the lure ? Like it can be yoyoed up and down and jiggled for an inch or two up and down.

      Yes, the line freely slides through it so you can give it some action if you’d like. Thanks for asking.

      I can relate to the need for glasses. The older I get the harder it is to see what I am doing.🤓

    Are you going to start selling crappie fishing supplies at Fish and Ski

      Probably not but you would need to ask them at the dealership.

    How do you know what size floats to use with what size jigs?

    • @FishingInsideTheLines
      @FishingInsideTheLines  5 місяців тому

      Some of the float companies will list it on their packaging. If you stay under a 1/4oz jig head you should be ok.

      @@FishingInsideTheLines I've tried some of those 2 in 1 bobbers, the smaller the jig the harder it seems to be for the stop to reach the bobber. Maybe I just need to find some of the slip floats where your line goes through. I hate trying to figure out of the bobber is supposed sticking out of the water or laying on it's side

      @@Digitalv0id39 Your bobber should be standing up straight. If it’s on its side you either have too little weight or your jig is resting on the bottom.

      @@FishingInsideTheLines what's your favorite color bobber? Do you prefer a certain color on sunny days and another color for cloudy days?

      @FishingInsideTheLines  5 місяців тому

      @@Digitalv0id39 I prefer the yellow and green just so it’s easier for me to see.
