I watched the Partridge Family and the Monkees back then, but kept it secret from my guy friends, LOL. Am so glad he pulled through all of that tough life. David Cassidy was a great guy too, who helped Danny get off the drugs during one period. I always loved Danny's sense of humor too. Hope he stays in touch in the near future. Great guy.

I'm in my sixties and was a huge fan of the Partridge Family, watched it every week and Danny was always my favorite!! I am so happy for him that he kicked the drugs and has love in his life. I don't know if he will ever read this but I was married to a man 20 years my senior. I was 38 when we met and he was 58. We had 24 wonderful years together. I lost him 4 years ago and miss him every day. A lot of people weren't thrilled with our age difference but I didn't care. We didn't have a lot of money and actually lost our home from Superstorm Sandy and had to start over but we truly loved each other. If you ever read this Danny I just want to say I wish you and your wife many more years together!!

I was a huge Partridge Family fan. Danny and I are close to the same age. One day I was riding my bicycle at a place we called (Paradise) down in a gully behind a movie theater in Calabasas and Danny showed up on his bicycle. All the other kids soon recognized him and gathered around. I was so star struck that I stayed outside the circle acting too cool and praying he would notice me and say hi. He didn't and I realized that's never a good plan. God bless Danny. The PF is still such a strong part of my childhood.

Very interesting interview...The quality of ur questioning was unique and had a depth that Danny seemed out of his comfort zone answering.....I havent seen him since his own reality show was on and his age and appearance is Quite a dramatic difference! My memories of him were when he was jacked up as if on steroids,...we all get old, I myself am the same age as him...I grew up watching the Partridge Family and remember him as a little kid when I was the same...Danny has mellowed out alot with age, less anger, aggressiveness, combativeness though some of it still remains..its nice to see his humorous side and smile which came with age...wish him all the best!!

I think some of the comments and quips from Danny didn't register with Danielle due to the age differences and a cultural generation gap. I found Danny to be very kind and gracious with Danielle, he showed patience and handled each question with respect. I'm glad that Danny has apparently found some peace, he's more likeable now than I'd ever found him over the years and I have a few years on him, so I'm somewhat familiar with his struggles. He's a survivor and he doesn't sugarcoat his past. I look forward to reading his book. I hope for continued healing and happiness for Danny in his golden years.

I don’t know if “class” is the word I would use. Maybe he is now, and he seems to have learned a lot about himself, but he could be pretty douchy to people back in the day. I recently watched one of his interviews from the 90s on Geraldo’s talk show with a bunch of other former child actors. I was pretty surprised at how much he trash talked other people. He made some really crappy comments about his tv siblings David Cassidy and Susan Dey, and trashed Todd Bridges. He seemed way too quick to toss aside tact and decency just for some attention and for what he probably thought were great one-liners (they weren’t). I do think Danny is a very intelligent guy, and I hope for the best for him, but “classy” isn’t something that comes to mind.

I think that as we age, priorities change. Life changes. When we are younger, everything is so important. Once we get into our 50's and later, we like different things. We want different things. Quiet is nice. I definitely understand why Danny is fine with retiring after the very colorful life he's had. I enjoy Danny and his very fun personality. I'm happy for him that he's really happy in his marriage.

I remember Danny from when we were in elementary school. He used to sit on the hood of the car to get maximum attention when his mom drove him to school. We went to Woodland Hills Elementary. I remember him once being on the outside of the chain link fence that surrounded the playground, making fun of us girls playing tether ball, calling us flatsys. There was a doll then, called flatsy doll. They were flat chested. He was quite a character.

I'm so glad to see this guy in better health and having some peace of mind. I was offered the morning show at Eagle 106 in Philly back in the mid 1980's. Danny was doing overnights there at the time, which would have meant his was the first face I'd see every morning. That was kinda scary to me to contemplate at the time, LOL. I wound up turning down the job, but sort of regret not having the opportunity to get to know this guy on a personal level. That would have been, uh ...interesting to say the least. The interviewer did a surprisingly good job of asking some interesting questions and follow through. I'm guessing the Elvis movie was "Clambake" that also featured a pre-Brady Bunch Eve Plumb. I've gotta go take another look, now.

Actually, the Elvis movie was "The Trouble With Girls" released in 1969, which more prominently featured "Cindy" from the Brady Bunch, LOL. Enjoyed Danny's "One Man Band" bit, though.

Just saw him from many years ago on a Geraldo Rivera show. He was with other actors who had acting roles when very young. Danny handled himself very well as always especially after a snide remark by Geraldo. Kudos that Danny gives time to young podcasters.

Just saw that show about an hour ago...and this video popped up. Hadn't seen or heard anything from Danny for a long time. Glad he's doing good and hope he has a great retirement. I'm curious how she was able to get him as a guest.

I just now watched an old Geraldo on (March 12, 1990) - "Former Child Stars" here on UA-cam in which Danny appeared as a guest, very interesting show. I'm 74 and I too was a really handsome young man in my day with a great head of long thick hair! From this interview on Geraldo I saw Danny too fits into this category, great hair Danny. I can say that I don't mind getting older or even looking older, part of life if your fortunate enough to live to an old age. But you know what is cruel, the thinning hair, I miss my beautiful thick hair. It's not the look of the hair, it's just the feel of the hair on your head and I see Danny also suffered this fate. Life is cruel sometimes, even for the famous and more fortunate. Funny the things you notice from an older perspective. Great interview, keep it up!

I'd like to think that Danny is taking a respite rather than retirement. Can't help but think that the "perfect role" is out there for him. Perfect in an ensemble cast in a big budget film or series ...think Godfather, Sopranos, Breaking Bad etc. Another thought is a voice over role in a animated series/movie ...he has such an expressive gruff animated voice. What ever his destiny ...I wish him good health and peace.

I walked in on somebody watching this, I instantly thought it was a daughter- father situation where the daughter was interviewing her dad, and then I thought... Wait a minute, Bonaduce doesn't have any kids, does he? 🤔
It definitely was different, and these days with so many people copying each other, different was good 👍🏼
Well done to the gal doing the interview and way to go Bonaduce for being a good guest 🙏🏼

Watched a good bit of this, and hope there are big thanks to DB. Obviously I am thankful for the one giving the interview, but I'm hoping she can review with a critical eye and see things that could be improved.
Reading a subject is a skill, and knowing when you are "getting" something and should push vs. when you are somewhat repeating and only getting different versions of the same answer is hard to learn.
Kudos for putting out content, and I hope to see you grow!
