Jill, you need to big a big Warning! sign on all of your recipes! They are so addicting and delicious!! So far I made the vegetable quiche, tiramisu, chocolate oatmeal bars, shortbread cookies and couple more dishes - not a single one was a one timer. Always want to do more! You are definitely extremely talented plant based chef! I greatly appreciate you!
I licked the blender clean, as I always do, and I was in heaven. Somehow the combination of dates, vanilla, and tahini combines to create something so unique and out of this world. If I ever want to teach children the gestalt principle of "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts" I definitely plan on making this recipe as a demonstration XD
You can take any form of shortbread to the next level if, after baking, you dip them half-way into some dark, semi-sweet chocolate sauce. Shortbread was made for this.
As a kid my favorite thing was dunking Lorna Doones in milk. I could eat half a package! Can't wait to try these!! Thank you Jill another miracle recipe 💕🤗
I just made these. Delish! I didn't have sesame seeds, but I rolled half the cookies in shredded coconut. Oh man.. Coconut takes these cookies to the next level. Thanks for another great recipe, Jill. I love your show! 🙂
These look extremely good. So well timed for the holiday season. Before going vegan I used to make spicy xmas tree shortbread with lemon icing, so yippee, am going to try this recipe for sure! Thanks Jill.
I am so excited! Shortbread is my favorite. Well was😉 I love you help us to find recipes that are plant based and healthy. I work hard to help my clients be plant based and have healthy mind, body and skin. Loved this 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
These are really good. REALLY GOOD. They hold their shape fairly well, so I made a bit of a well in them, cooled them completely and filled them with the lemon loaf frosting -I ain't ever gonna be skinny. That was delicious, so I did it with the lemon curd and the chocolate oat bar filling. I love that your recipes are so versatile and yummy. These make a great bar cookie. Fantastic. Thank you, Jill.
Love your recipes. Have both your books. Ordered your second cookbook specially to the UK 👋 Thank you so much for your recipes. Trying these for the first time this week for my partners birthday! 🎉 Can't wait to see how they taste 😋
Wow! I have been looking for a way to make shortbread for ages! Tahini is a great idea. Well done Jill you are the best!! Love your recipes, book and show!!
Can’t wait to make these and try them out at work (instead of those crappy SAD cookies or doughnuts that other folks bring in). BTW, I ordered the Noochy Licious using your link. Its worth a try. I could get it from Amazon but there were some bad reviews there. I used to live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and still have family there so that was a fun tidbit to see that they are making it there! Thanks Jill!
Hi Jill! I can't wait to try this recipe. I want to bring something to your attention. I've printed your recipes from your website and noticed after printing that your name is no where on the recipe. Makes it hard to remember whose recipe it is after printing and tucking away in my binder.
I read through the comments figuring others would ask my same question of whether or not the almond meal/flour has a viable substitute and I saw u only offered cashew since the fat is needed. What about coconut flour? I'm not as concerned about it altering the taste and rather have an abundance of flours I'm trying to destash since i wasn't planning on baking anytime soon so I'm wondering if this recipe would be a good way to use up the coconut flour. 🤔 None of my other flour options are fat containing. 😔

Instead of tahini, I used 1/3 cup of roasted sesame seed, crunchy and delicious…
Thank you Jill❤

I like them with strawberry 🍓 and cream( cashew)
❤️Love This Thank You❤️
They look SO good❣️
I notice you've improved on just getting to the cooking., thank you.
THANKS - GREAT !!!!
I like second method with sesame seeds!
Would this work with Date paste as a substitute for blending the dates?
Hi Jill!
The vanilla powder needs half the amount. I'm not sure how the immersion blender will do with the dates.

Yeah, the platform that we use doesn’t give us that option but we would like to change that👍
Great
Jill if I don’t want to buy tahini any substitute??? ❣️
Almond butter
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow I have that thank you :-)
Hi, these look lovely. My kids aren't allowed any nuts in school. Any suggestions to replace the almond at all? Thanks
Unfortunately not. They need the fat from the nuts to be edible
What can I use besides almond meal/flour and cinnamon, thanks
You could use cashew flour and leave out the cinnamon
Any options for replacing the almond flour for people with severe nut allergies?
Someone suggested coconut flour but I haven’t tried it. The replacement needs to have fat.
I want to try making a vegan Twix candy bar using this recipe.
Woa, that sounds delicious 👍
Hi Jill 💖
Hello. Nice recipe.how can I replace balmond flour?
You could use cashew flour
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow in Poland we don't have it. Maybe peanut ground?
Is there a substitution for almond meal? I’m unable to eat almonds. Thank you.
Cashew flour
OMGosh!
Is that a grinder or blender? Does it chop too?
Food processor
Is/Are there any substitute/s for dates (for those of us with Candida)? Thanks Jill xoxo
Raisins are really the only substitute.
Jill which nutria bullet do you have ?
I have the Nutribullet Pro
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thank you ❣️
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow the 1000 or 900 I see there’s two on Walmart site ? Or maybe you can say how many cups it is or power/ watts

Hmmmm, that is a good point. I haven’t tried it with coconut flour but it might work. I will have to give it a try 👍
mine got too browned. was i supposed to flip halfway or is my oven hotter than yours you think?
It might just be your oven. Maybe next time lower the temp by 15° and check them often.
I'll substitute tahini with real peanut butter and some miso.
Dang they sneaky
Are these moist? Looks like a very thick/dense dough.
These are a more dry type of cookie
Is soy milk good for you?
You made your own oatmeal. Did you make your own almond flour?
no
I am sure you get it all the time, how much you look like ex-royal Fergie ...a good version of her. Love your hair.
