Hi congrats on your engagement! I just followed you on insta and I love your videos so far! I have a couple of questions you may be able to answer. When you're using the pen tool, how do you create the curved lines? When I use it it only gives me straight lines. Also, is it ethical to manipulate fonts? I find myself wanting to change fonts up (to where they're almost unrecognizable) in order to get the look I want, but I'm not sure if this is okay.
Love this video! By the way, the typeface you were using (Agnes) is from Agnes Lloyd-Plat Branding Agency. I think it's just a custom typeface they made, not a font. So gorgeous though!! I wish it was a font we could use.

Wish I could like this video a billion times. New and young artist have the same mindset of those who use A.I in a sense that a pretty picture makes them valuable or there’s a certain way of doing it. The A.I can guess but adds no humane essence of what makes it far more valuable away from the convenience of committing theft for a pretty picture that can generate generic prompts. I’ve tuned out most of the A.I propaganda as it’s filtered, mediocre and unrefined works aren’t my type to hype over as an artist, and also believed that it would die like any other wave. Not like it matters as it seems like most are trying to find a way for AI to take over other professions down the line, better to live with what I enjoy doing and for myself 🤷🏽♀️
Congrats on getting that 💍, but I was hoping you would do the lettering from the ground up instead of using a ...uh template. I wanted to see what your thought process was from start to finish. Thanks for the video.
I find that there's more finessing to do with the image trace, plus you don't always get the same look depending on the quality of image you bring in, especially if it's a drawing. Also this is just one way to do this, a lot of people want to learn more about the pen tool!

that’s a good tip- this was more about using shapes and the pen tool to build letters! Image trace does not always come out perfect so it can still involve a lot of tweaking

Definitely a late comment but for the G..I think the pencil tool and smooth tool and also the width tool definitely will make it easier.

lol a little trick to go from image to shape: image trace! its a really easy way to quickly get the shapes
that’s a good tip- this was more about using shapes and the pen tool to build letters! Image trace does not always come out perfect so it can still involve a lot of tweaking

Reduce the playback speed down.
You are doing unnecessary work, you can just use image trace, and it will be done in a second
Unfortunately that’s not true! Image trace doesn’t always convert perfectly, and relying on that makes for imperfect work
