Personal wishes for a v2: - 10180 tube - tighten for off (my preferred jam too) The Lumintop Pimi was great because of that - x2 brightness settings; Hi, Low id snatch several up if that were so
Nice video, short and to the point. I didn’t know you could spec a W2. I have the SST-20 5000K. I was planing to use it as my EDC, I wanted something brighter than my trusty Fenix E05. It didn’t last long as my EDC though. First problem is that it twists too easily and would just turn on in my pocket. But my main problem is that it’s too bright for any usage at close distance or dim environments and lacks any brightness adjustment (that part is on me, didn’t read the specs carefully enough). I have now opted for the Lumintop Frog with the 10440 tube and I’m super happy. It’s adjustable and gets even brighter, has a moonlight mode, and hasn’t turned on by itself yet (knock on wood). It is about double the price though
Nice video again! No need to stretch it too long with such a simple light. :) I'll probably pop one or two of these on my next Hank order: an UV one and another with 519A. But they probably won't replace my main keychain light (Eagtac DX3E) due to one reason: only one single mode. High output is of course nice, but not when it's the only mode. Two or three modes in a twistie works well and would make the KC1 so much more useful for actual real-life usage..
Damn, I didn't know how much I needed tighten for off in my life until you mentioned it. You're right, we used to have those on the small maglites iirc. What modern equivalents do we have for twisties with tighten for off?
I wonder if Hank would be able to make a more practical output option that's like 5-10 lumens? It should be noted by the way you can only get a dedomed 519A in these lights.
@LuxWad this is a shot in the dark, love your content and there's a truly unique light I think you should review, that being the QT-SS 18650 by fraz labs. As far as I'm aware they're the only company that's produced a completely solid state flashlight, i.e. no components to break, they managed this with a quantum tunneling composite which flys right over my head, Im not affiliated with them in any way, just want to see a fantastically produced review on the light, imo it doesnt get the recognition it deserves.
I find this light too throwy, since I only use it indoors. So, I added some diffusion film over the lens, and that makes it a perfect floody light for close-ish distance.
These are really fun and inexpensive lights to use as emitter taste testers. I’ve been ordering them in different 519A dedome CCTs. Never used an emitter before? Chances are it fits in this thing! Not the most financially viable strategy, but this light may be the cheapest way to try a variety of emitters.
Yup, this is my thought exactly. Order a couple when you order a more expensive light in preparation for your next order of a more expensive light. Job Done. Thanks for the great vid as always Sir.
Can you review the sofirn hs41 it's what I have and I like it, great headlamp, some people say it's too heavy, but I must just work out my traps better because I have no issues
I don't plan to review the HS41, I'm not a huge fan of 21700 headlamps because my traps are weak. It looks like a really solid headlamp for the price though
92 lumens on a AAA is actually impressive with a w2, especially with such good regulation. That almost matches the Olight i3e and that uses a more efficient led
@LuxWad In general, with the flashlights the DO.. Is there any concerns about turbo use like you point out here? Or am I pretty much ok to use turbo and trust the flashlight to protect itself and me? As long as my hand can take the heat, it should be ok?
@Flashtricity-yf6lv Yeah you should be fine, the electronics are able to handle much more heat than your hand so it's rarely an issues unless you're wearing gloves or something. Active regulation will keep it in a range that's safe for the electronics themselves, even if you have a configurable light like Anduril they don't really let you set the limit too high. Just use your judgement when handling lights like this that don't have active protection and you will be fine
@@LuxWad My judgement is a little skewed though. I understand little to nothing about electricity and have misunderstood things many times to be "dangerous" when they may not be... Iused to completely avoid turbo for longer than 10 seconds on all my lights out of fear. Out of a misunderstanding of some info at some point. I'm still scared of mixing and matching cells and lights not knowing what the max CDR is of ony of my Wurkkos/Sofirns/Convoys "included cells". Not knowing whether or not any of them can power a hotrod Emisar... Edit: or what happens when they "cant"
Theres no reviews of this light on UA-cam, i just ordered 7, because i know 6 other people in real life, everyone gets a twisty, and ill make the second review on UA-cam, i got all green w1 6000k
No low voltage protection? Thats a bummer. There honestly isn't many good keychain flashlights out there. And buying anything that has a built in battery is automatic ewaste. When you have such small batteries, things like charge cycles and general battery longevity fall of a cliff. Such as the people spending $1000+ on smart watches that will only last 1.5-3 years that then end up in the bin. Madness
I wrote CSLNM1.TG, which is the "W1" emitter. This light is actually using the CSLPM1.TG (the W2), sorry about that.
Don't really feel the need to own this particular Emisar, but I do feel the need to click on every Luxwad video instantly! 👍
Same here!
@LuxWad Glad to see you’re back! Please don’t abandon this channel, your videos here are so good! Keep up the great work!
The king is back
When it's a Hank light and LuxWad, I must watch!
Your reviews are always top-notch.
Your channel is the best. You need more follower.
Well my wallet is gunna be $13 lighter now.
Awesome content dude, you have a great format. Keep the videos coming!

New LuxWad video? Today's a good day
I really would love to see just a single emitter 14500 light from hanks with aux leds.
That would be super cool
Your videos are consistently fantastic! Thanks for all the effort you put into your videos!

Lumintop frog is a really neat light, I want to try one out but haven't gotten around to it yet

Yeah that's one reason I like the i1R so much, the two well-spaced modes
Always love your Hanklight vids! Hoping to see another for the upcoming D3AA, maybe some output and runtime comparisons between different batteries.
I would love to do a review of it sometime, I wasn't aware it was released until yesterday so I didn't have any plans for it

Great review!!!
It would be crazy to see an Anduril based AAA twisty.
I know there are a lot of issues to solve but still.
Thank you always brilliant

I've heard of Fraz labs and would love to do a video on one of their lights, I sadly haven't tried one yet and haven't had time to do a video for it
@@LuxWad I could send you one, also thanks for the reply and also thanks for being the one to introduce me to hank lol.
I got the UV led in this, nice wide illumination,
I just ordered the d4v2 mule with the 5w 365nm emitters, then noticed you can get the kc1 with uv as well. I wonder how they compare?
I find this light too throwy, since I only use it indoors. So, I added some diffusion film over the lens, and that makes it a perfect floody light for close-ish distance.
What emitter does yours have?
It's just the standard SST-20, 2700K. For my next one, I'll try the 519a which is a bit better tint anyway.
Are you planning to review any convoy lights in the future?
I want to at some point
@@LuxWad bet, love your content
LuxWad! I was hoping you would review this little guy
Will the ICR 10440 work in this light? It's protected
I'm not sure if protected cells will work, it will be a tight squeeze

I prefer RovyVon for keychain lights.
There is no thermal protection?
There is not

Can't bring myself to buy one of these because olight always has a free i3e during their sales, so I've got a bunch of aaa lights already.
Love your videos. Helped me to decide not to get this as I don't really need it.

Yes lack of LVP is unfortunate. Also, your username is killing me 🤣
