Woa! That wasa badass hike man thankx for sharing with us. Going down on the latters seem sketchy as hell oof! I just did the bridge part yesterday but definitely looking forward to the profile trail on day. I think I'll feel alittle more comfortable doing it with someone else tho
Did you like to accompany the wonderful nature, there are very beautiful landscapes and it is a pleasure to look at this. There are as splendid wide views to see, I like that a lot. Best wishes from Germany :))
This will be one of my stops on what I have dubbed the "NC nature circuit". I plan to leave in less than 3 weeks. A total of. 2 months in the jeep traveling through NC and hiking, fishing, and camping. Good to have an idea what to expect for Grandfather Mtn when I get there. Nice video. :)
Wow that hike on day 1 made me tired just watching it! When you said you were coming back the Underwood trail & still had to get water at the springs.. oh man. I refer to it as 'Grandfather mountain miles. Not quite like other places. I've gone to the standard Sawyer squeeze with the backflush fitting as well. I'm digging it. I still use a bottle but similar setup. The new Dream Hammock & suspension look nice & light.
I was just up there. Did the Macrae Peak, Calloway Peak, and camped at Calloway Gap. Next time up I think I will stay at the Alpine Meadow site. The scrambling up to Macrae Peak is pretty burley. Nice job on the video edits. Subbed your channel. Happy hiking!
Great video... this hike is on my bucket list minus the trip to shanty springs, I've hiked the profile trail and know that little water spur is a killer. Which dream hammock do you have and what length? Going to try that Beckett hitch.
Many times the camera can't quite let the viewer appreciate the steepness of the trails. On this one, was the camera exaggerating the steepness or were you really one misstep from falling to your death on many parts of that video? Some of it looked more like rock climbing rather than hiking. Awesome video and trail. I'm not sure I'm up for that much of a challenge yet.
I think this was my first trip really using the GoPro which I had a setting wrong in it. Maybe this is what did it? There are some spots of the trail that are a little scary for sure. A lot of scrambling but it made for a memorable trip
@@WolfPacks nice video, I did Profile Trail to Swinging Bridge and back 2 times in Sept. the Profile Trail is hard, but the Grandfather Trail is a whole different level, those cliffside ladders are a beast, and I agree, the Underwood Trail is very rough terrain, and hard for sure.

Very cool trip! That place looks incredible. Great scene with the time lapse and the clouds. Thanks for the video, awesome!
thanks for doing such a great video Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina is an amazing place I'm sure appreciate you sharing
What an awesome place. They really take care of the trail system. I dig all the ladders.

Great tour of the mountain! I wonder why the trail was taped off at Black Rock extension.

One of the prettiest places on the Blue Ridge👍
Tough hike! Enjoyed the video
What music selections did you use? Especially the acoustic.
Great video! What camera are you using? 🤙
Thanks Dude! I used a Sony HDRCX440 and a Gopro Hero Session in this video
